    In an enterprise environnement when you have a PC that fails installing CU, most of the time it's because of corrupted component store, and unfortunately the DISM commands are not able to solve the issue (it works only in the Microsoft certification training Wonderland...) So when you spend more than 2 days trying to troubleshoot the issue, you give up and re-image the computer. I remember the worst case is 0x800F0831 when you have to remove or copy manifest files from a working computer with the exact same config. Sometimes it works, sometimes not

      Enterprise you try a few steps and reimage. Some users had complex setups and we would try just about everything in the book and often it would not fix. You are correct it is often a corrupted component store. For simple problems the video should help some folks. Just had to blow away a DC because of this problem.

    Why does Windows Defender not work in Safe Mode?

    • @TechsavvyProductions
      @TechsavvyProductions  3 місяці тому

      Yes, Windows Defender is disabled in Safe Mode. Safe Mode starts your computer with the minimum required drivers and services, and most extra features are disabled. You can't enable Windows Defender until you boot your PC into a standard Windows mode.

    next video "advanced windows update troubleshooter "

      Windows Update troubleshooter has shown me a few times what was wrong, but most often did not fix the issue. Windows Troubleshooter is running a lot of PowerShell in the background to fix the easy and common problems.

    I've had these issues, I just hide the update If it's culminative update, if you skip then the next months patch updates will include the previous patches Am I not correct here .I've also tried things like disable the Windows update services, and then delete the software destruction files along with the cat files, manually in a admin account then reboot and enable services ,and retry windows update You can also manual install updates which does work. I've success so I must be doing right
