Group Policies are fundamental to managing an Active Directory environment and to troubleshoot this complex system of controls you need to understand the technology and how it works. This video covers concepts, technologies, and components on the domain controller and clients that make group policies deploy, store, and apply. We will look at policies that edit the registry, bring security policies, and deliver preferences and how each differs on both the DC and how the client handles these controls. What is the role of *.admx and *.adml files and what do these files do in regard to GPOs. What is a central store and how is it updated?

Troubleshooting is the goal, this lays a foundation for better understanding the problems and issues with GPOs. GPOs are really painful when they do not work.

@@TechsavvyProductions Years ago I went to a college library and couldn't use them because you had to eneter a stydent ID Since I wasn't a student then I couldn't use them. So this was a active directory setup on a LAN network where each building had it's own Scema Am I right here because that would make a lot of sense to me after al these years

AD could be easily be used for something like that.
