Thanks for doing this video. You did an awesome job explaining the boots and why you like them. I am in the process of getting a pair but I am not quite sure if I should get the Builder Pro or Ranger. What do you think about both since you have both? I am an IT guy and a Real Estate agent. I do love doing manual labor jobs for my side hustle. Just trying to see which boot would be right for me.
Thanks for your incredible comment. Main difference it's Ranger stock with mini lug sole/ 8" height and Builder came with Lug sole and 10" height Rangers for me are more versatile since have heavy duty leather and Mini lug that give you the opportunity to look more casual and not many like a trade guy. The 8" helps for comfort and movement. Builders in 10" are quite for support for people who work in hard environments or using the body extremities a lot. I will suggest to go with the Ranger or take a hybrid liek the Overlander with lug sole. The lug sole it's more comfortable than any flat sole. It's heavier but if standing a lot of time consider the lug sole. Rangers are very comfortable when I do inspections and being in office, light duty work and driving. I prefer Rangers in that area. What are you thoughts brother?
Great job bud. Your videos and great reviews are one of the reasons why I purchased my first pair of Nicks. I’m a hardcore Red Wing boots guy but I need to try something different. The only thing I’m worry is the sizing on Nicks. I wear size 13 on regular sneakers ( Jordans, Nike), on Timberlands I’m size 12 and on Red Wings Heritage I’m size 11.5 (Iron Ranger, Blacksmith). I ordered a pair of Urban Logger(look like the Falcon) from Nicks on the HNW Last, size 11.5 so I hope they will fit. Please let me know your thoughts since you have a nice Nicks collection. My feet are regular (not wide or narrow). Thanks! 👍
Normally half size down works but don't worry man. You can exchange the boots with Nicks in case don't work. I cam suggest to check their foot tracing. Download , print and check your size .
Hi Will, Thanks for your post here!👍 I believe you already enjoy your Nick’s. I have same worries like you as I am going to order my Nick’s Urban Drifters. My long used boots are Red Wings Iron Rangers 10.D.Extremely comfortable with merino socks. My sneakers size is 11D/E depends the brand. What is your experience with sizing? Thanks!
Don’t say ‘don’t judge me’! Judgment is good to improving! Awesome video keep doing updates of your collection and try using a tripod! Also if you can do some shorts also in Spanish sería genial para los que hablamos también español!!
Really enjoyed the comparison and remarks. I was a little confused about the brown boot you said was your "2nd favorite" (4.25 into the video). You seemed to say "latigo". Can you please clarify the type of leather and color of that boot? Many thanks.
Thanks for the support. Yes, those are bridle medium Brown!. Unfortunately I made the mistake by ordering half size up so I will send them to rebuild next week 🙏🏻
@@MIIIB I probably wait until my Whites arrives, so if they fit great I know my size. I probably choose the Quick ship boots. I like the Falcon and the Roberts. Probably going for Falcon I guess
The falcons have the celastic toe. Well I think is a bit of preference. The soft toe is comfortable but with time will collapse completely which doesn't bother me. Celastic toe is comfortable too but sometimes walking or kneeling will bother a bit the structured toe. Is not steel and with time will be wide and more flexible on the sides but the center will remain exactly hard like always. I recommend this to people that want to hold the shape or hold the space inside the boot, the soft tie had reduced space for sure.
I also have a special connection with my first pair of boots. I have another brand though but I love them. I love them so much that I bought a new pair because I must’ve done something wrong with my first pair so the leather cracked. Despite that I still gravitate to my first pair even though the new ones are a lot nicer. Nice video dude!
Awesome boot collection brother, am still debating on what to buy, I like the overlander and the Americana, how long was the wait time to get your boots?
Back in a day a few yrs ago was only 2 to 3 months now is almost 6 to 8 so I highly recommend the quick ship option. I would start with the most versatile boot either a Ranger which is a 8" height with a mini lug sole, then you will know if you want to go bigger with Builders Pro or lighter with 6" boots. If you may want your first work boot, then go Builder pro for sure. Worth every penny. Work leathers are the best IMO
Bro, no mames!!! Absolutely amazing collection, I seriously hate you! 😂 I ordered my Outlanders in 1964 in September. Can’t wait to receive them, your reviews get me more hype. Keep up the excellent reviews and Happy Holidays to you and your family! Peace from El Paso, Texas. 🤠
Gracias viejon! Yo soy de Laredo, Texas. I will do more reviews and a few in Spanish. I just place an order in 1964 LTT Rough out Felices fiestas y le mando un abrazo a toda tu familia. Me da gusto ver un Latino por estos rumbos. Cheers brother 💪🏻 I
I interested and liked PNW boots, I have only experienced Wesco and Whites. It have durablity and thick leather, but cosmetic quality is low compared to the price.
Excellent, honest review -- thank you! Could you say a bit more about 6" vs. 8"? I understand that 8" provides more support for heavy duty work and 6" is fine for casual, but which would you say is more comfortable overall for a mix of activities? For example, if you could only have one height for everyday plus light-moderate work activity, which would it be? I also found your comments about the lug sole helpful. Even though the heavy duty Vibram V-100 sole is heavy, you're saying it's actually best if you're standing for long periods of time.
Thanks a lot for the great comment! Very good questions. I been using the LTT a lot lately and it's definitely an amazing. If need it for mix of activities from casual to work and outdoors I will suggest the 6". I always lace to top since the last eyelets help me when sometimes the lace knot loose and they don't go out of the speed hooks. The lug sole is quite comfortable, people don't believe me when I say it but I think the weight distribution it's the factor and more cushion. The honey lug had a bit more cushion, not a super different feeling bit it's there. The 8" I will recommend more for only work or if you have been using a lot of high boots in your life, like I do. I can wear them for any occasion but I not lie that sometimes I like the 6" for casual. The shaft it's not that rigid so give comfort. I don't own any urban logger, but people swear it's an amazing combination and as far as I know it's the most selling boot by Nicks. You can try that one , a combo 6 and Lugs. Sounds cool. I'm not attracted since the Vbar is enough for me. I like that sole a lot. Plus you don't bring mud everywhere, easy to clean and long lasting. If you have more questions let me know!
@@MIIIB Thanks for the detailed reply! It sounds like you're saying 6" is enough for casual and light-moderate work boots -- that the slightly lower shaft (compared to 8") is comfortable and supportive enough. Regarding the sole, you say that the lug sole is quite comfortable and distributes the weight very well with excellent cushion. Yet Vbar is enough for you. Are you saying that you'd choose the lug sole in an 8-10" work boot but Vbar in a 6" boot where lighter weight and easier cleaning are factors?
@@boozunga123 The lug sole for me It's versatile due to my work line. I can do service calls in city, urban environment and move to out of town with cero concrete environments. The lugs give me traction and comfort. I can do everything with this sole but I don't want to leave all my mess in all my house and trucks. The V-Bar I like it for casual or light duty. I can do everything sure with this sole, and use it as work horse. I had done it before, but if going in terrains with many rocks and changing water valves below ground and mud everywhere, the lug sole will perform better. Casual and light duty, I mean by light any work to do in concrete / asphalt. The Vbar is perfect Heavy Duty. Lugs are perfect IF traction is required, the extra comfort is a plus. Both are comfortable. I can use them 14 hrs no deal, IN the Right environments. I think at this point I can say, go with what attracted you more in cosmetics, both will perform good. 💪🏻
@@MIIIB Got it, thanks! Two things are clear now -- lug sole is best where traction is required and Vbar where easy clean-up matters. Regarding comfort, I think you're saying that they're equally comfortable for standing for a long time (e.g., 14 hours) and that the only difference is performance, based on the environment the boots are in (e.g., rough, rocky terrain with moving water where the lug sole excels vs. flatter work environments, such as concrete/asphalt, where the Vbar is sufficient).
The Vbar is a good outsole. Easy clean, very long lasting and better than Minilug. Not as flexible is the con Lug sole #100 have more volume but in ny opinion is mire comfortable because of the cushion. Offers more thickness and a bit of weight. Honestly I think the major difference is just the volume and lug be more comfortable. I have to say will do more mess and pick chuncks of grass, soil, rocks so just let you know.
@@MIIIB thanks. i think for my work in an office type setting and just walking on the road the VBar is a better option. if i love the boots i may buy a builder pro with something like the honey vibram. i put 25 dollars off to the side every month so i can get things like that. kids and bills and inflation do set you back. thanks again.
@@LegBuilder I share your thoughts about inflation. Now more than ever we are in a very hard situation. Praying for everyone to lift this situation. Hope to be resolved soon. Cheers my friend 🍻 I'm on the same Boat
Hey Man. Great video. Your a lucky guy to have such a collection. Thanks for the detail on the Leather. The information is very helpful. I am curious as to what the Names of the 8 hole boots that you have? Especially, the one with low lug soles. Please and Thank You,
Thanks for the comment! And I don't thinking it's na problem if you soaked them. Just let them dry properly. I suggest not give anything of oil/creams until you fully break the fibers and mold to your feet. It's hard? Yes, but will help the natural process without additives. The boots are soaked for molding at. Nick's. Just let them dry for 3-4 days before using them wet
Hard question. Yes, I prefer the honey lugs over the normal lug sole 100, if I have to choose one. The extra cushion is great. Is little difference only, in the other side comparing the V bar with 100 lug sole, there is a huge difference. In the end honey and black lugs are a matter of preference and aesthetics.
@@MIIIB Thank you for your response. I have been looking at Nicks Boots for a while (specifically the Builder pros with safety toe) because i want a good quality work boot that will be tough, comfortable, and last a while. Figured Id ask you since you have tried so many boots. I am thinking ill go with the Honey vibram soles.
@@vinniecaruana850 you will not regret brother and definitely you will not destroy the boots in 18 months. Celastic toe is enough for me, looking for extra protection add toe cap.
@@MIIIB Yeah right now i am wearing "Rocky" Combat boots for working outside. I bought them at a flea market about 4 years ago so i think its time to upgrade. I was going to put a toe cap, and steel toe or composite toe as a just in case. May be that is to much?
@@vinniecaruana850 the celastic is a lot more comfortable than steel toe. I highly don't recommend steel toe unless you are obligated by third party. Celastic is strong and comfortable to wear
IMO both are comfortable, celastic give you more space/area, soft toe collapse so I recommend dont use soft toe with firm leathers like Latigo and Double Stuff. I think 64 work line is perfect for the celastic toe, as well the work leathers. Soft toe will give you a better fit since there is natural shape on vamp, celatic will mold with a lot of time. If is your first boot.

@@MIIIB you said one of the leathers in this video was Latigo Chestnut. Is that nicks veg tan chestnut color? I'd really like to know, it will help me in my decision. Thanks
@@johnfattig6937 Latigo Chesnut it's different form Veg Tan Chesnut. Látigo is a very deep leather in waxes and veg tan don't. If you want latigo call Nicks and ask what they have in stock. Uses to be the same pallete of colors like veg tan, tan, chesnute, buck brown , burgundy and black in latigo.
Hope this help brother
@@MIIIB yes thank you

Beautiful collection of boots brother!🙏🏼
Thank you so much brother !!!
HONEST, DOWN HOME REVIEW. EXCELLENT
Thanks for the support brother 🙌🏻
This was so fun to watch brother! You’re the best man. Feliz Navidad!
Hope it took you one or two laughed ☺️. I can't denied my Mexican Accent ! Wish to have a wider lexicon, my English is like 1/32 of my Spanish but I will try better.
A big hug man! Your boots are out of the league. Feliz navidad hermano!
@@MIIIB nah man your English is totally fine!
Excellent video, I found it very informative. I think I’m going to try some of the falcons for something casual. I really like that leather that changes tone when it flexes.
Thanks
Thanks a lot for the comment and support. 🙏🏻 Salute!
What edge color did you select on your black falcons? Brown or natural?
Thanks again
@@Slovenlyone I did natural and use a fiebings edge kote brown to give a bit brown color, then polish
@@MIIIB Thanks for your help . Have you ever used the black English bridal leather. They don’t have any pictures of boots made with that leather. Probably will just go with chromeX, seems like it can take more abuse.
@@Slovenlyone i haven't seen any picture with the black veg tan! 🤔 I need to do a research.
Yes! Black cxl can take a lot of abuse. Erase scuff with black cream or if you like patina just a good conditioner 😁
Incredible collection! The Black CXL has a great look
Thanks 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 really appreciate the support
Thanks for doing this video. You did an awesome job explaining the boots and why you like them. I am in the process of getting a pair but I am not quite sure if I should get the Builder Pro or Ranger. What do you think about both since you have both? I am an IT guy and a Real Estate agent. I do love doing manual labor jobs for my side hustle. Just trying to see which boot would be right for me.
Thanks for your incredible comment.
Main difference it's Ranger stock with mini lug sole/ 8" height and Builder came with Lug sole and 10" height
Rangers for me are more versatile since have heavy duty leather and Mini lug that give you the opportunity to look more casual and not many like a trade guy.
Hi Will,
Thanks for your post here!👍
I believe you already enjoy your Nick’s.
I have same worries like you as I am going to order my Nick’s Urban Drifters.
My long used boots are Red Wings Iron Rangers 10.D.Extremely comfortable with merino socks.
My sneakers size is 11D/E depends the brand.
What is your experience with sizing?
Thanks!
Esta muy imprecionante y chingo tu colleccion! Felicidades!!!
Muchisimas gracias Francisco! Te agradezco que pases a saludar!
Very impressive collection!
Thank you! Really appreciate your comment
Don’t say ‘don’t judge me’! Judgment is good to improving! Awesome video keep doing updates of your collection and try using a tripod! Also if you can do some shorts also in Spanish sería genial para los que hablamos también español!!
Thanks a lot for the support and absolutely I will do in Spanish. Es mi lengua nativa. Thanks for the suggestion man 😁
wonderful collection
Un abrazo hermano 🙏🏻
Really enjoyed the comparison and remarks. I was a little confused about the brown boot you said was your "2nd favorite" (4.25 into the video). You seemed to say "latigo". Can you please clarify the type of leather and color of that boot? Many thanks.
Thanks brother. Yes is Latigo by W&C. Really amazing leather. Veg Tan with full of waxes. Incredible leather.
Getting ready to order medium brown veg tan officer boots. Great video!
Thanks brother. Glad you liked it ! 🙏🏻
Nice collection. High quality!!
Thanks brother ! Really appreciate it
Great video, and amazing color on the medium brown veg tan 6” boots.
Are those the bridle medium brown veg tan?
Thanks for the support. Yes, those are bridle medium Brown!. Unfortunately I made the mistake by ordering half size up so I will send them to rebuild next week 🙏🏻
Nice boot collection, thanks for sharing. What do you treat your nicks falcons with?
The falcons veg tan with Saphir Renovatour and polish neutral
I’m considering buying a pair of Roberts in black cxl
Special boots brother excellent choice
@@MIIIB I probably wait until my Whites arrives, so if they fit great I know my size. I probably choose the Quick ship boots. I like the Falcon and the Roberts. Probably going for Falcon I guess
best review ever. please keep it up.
Ohh yeahhhh I will do a few more videos my friend 💪🏻
Nice video. Do your falcons in this video have a celastic or soft toe? which do you recommend and why? Thanks!
Thanks a lot for the support! Exactly the same. I bought my Builder Pro so I didn't mess up my Falcons black 😆
Great collection!! Love Nick’s!
Thanks a lot 🙌🏻 !!!
Nice collection!!!! Beautiful
Thanks a lot for the support brotht !!!
Could you do a comparison between your Falcon boots?
I only have 1 left. The medium brown :( . I gave the black as donation to an uncle
@@MIIIB That was very nice of you. The Falcons looks great, the Overlander too.
Nice collection from a great boot maker. You should invest in boot trees for all of your Nicks boots as it will keep the shape intact.
Thanks for the comment and support!!🙌🏻
Bro, no mames!!! Absolutely amazing collection, I seriously hate you! 😂 I ordered my Outlanders in 1964 in September. Can’t wait to receive them, your reviews get me more hype. Keep up the excellent reviews and Happy Holidays to you and your family! Peace from El Paso, Texas. 🤠

I interested and liked PNW boots, I have only experienced Wesco and Whites.

Dear Mr.
I want to buy it but in Bangladesh it is not available.so how can I purchase it.

The Vbar is perfect
Heavy Duty.
@@boozunga123 I'm really curious what you would choose, Sir.
Very wide lexicon! I need to learn

@@MIIIB looking forward to it!!! Awesome
Thats a lot of boots.... amazing
Thanks 👍🏻 brother
how is the comfort compared to the black lug sole vs the vbar. do you notice much of a difference. i have a pair of boots on order.
The Vbar is a good outsole. Easy clean, very long lasting and better than Minilug. Not as flexible is the con
Lug sole #100 have more volume but in ny opinion is mire comfortable because of the cushion.

What made you get a black boot? I always go for brown or dark brown.
I don't like black a lot but own a few blacks. I tend to do Brown 90% of the time.
I'm thinking about some black 1000 Mile with the rubber soles.@@MIIIB
So many perfectly broken in boots! If you accidentally get them soaked before breaking in, is that a problem?
Thanks for the comment! And I don't thinking it's na problem if you soaked them. Just let them dry properly. I suggest not give anything of oil/creams until you fully break the fibers and mold to your feet. It's hard? Yes, but will help the natural process without additives.
The boots are soaked for molding at. Nick's. Just let them dry for 3-4 days before using them wet
Are the chocolate rough outs are they Overlanders?
Yes! those are the overlanders, back in the day builders pro 8", now they have too many names I get confuse
Can you tell me the name of the 8th pair of boots in your video...
please
Overlanders - Tan Smooth 💪🏻 Nicks
I have watched this video SOO many times. LOL
Thanks a lot for the support brother. Have an amazing week!
Do you prefer the Honey Vibram outsoles over the V 100 Lug outsoles?
How is the soft toe compared to the celastic toe?
IMO both are comfortable, celastic give you more space/area, soft toe collapse so I recommend dont use soft toe with firm leathers like Latigo and Double Stuff. I think 64 work line is perfect for the celastic toe, as well the work leathers. Soft toe will give you a better fit since there is natural shape on vamp, celatic will mold with a lot of time. If is your first boot.
Great review! Your passion for the boots, your hard work and your love for God and family shines through. I am like-minded.
