Your painting is like life-winding, rocky paths, hills and dales that need to be chosen, futures yet to be experienced just over the next beautiful horizon.🖌
Wow! You’re incredible! It’s like you’re actually taking photos with your brushes and simply dropping them onto the canvas! Magical! I truly love and admire your painting skills! Thank You for sharing! ❤
Funny how my block-ins look exactly like yours. Then you grab the small brush and leave me in the dust... lol You will forever be my hero when it comes to painting...
Your ability to be able to create an entire canvas like this in one go is inspiring. I want to get better at my landscape stuff, and watching these is helping me fill in the gaps I've been struggling with myself.
Watching you paint these rocks and stones it does look to me as though each and everyone has more than one color added to it yet I know that isn't the case. As you continue through the piece each area becomes more realistic. You can actually feel the stones and rocks being uncomfortable beneath your feet. Truly mesmerizing! To be able to reach this level of realism is just breath taking.
Yes. Mikey, I had just rewatched your first 2016 video "How to Block-In". How far you've come from those brushes to these, the manky Hog you used a grinder on, the pointed softs to flats and Tree/Texture and fan and comber, yet, in joy, your logic and perception remains, the photos reappear on canvas. Long long journey, steadfast determination and growth. Improving yourself along with worldwide students. You've really DONE IT! Geesh now I can't wipe the darn smile offn me face, getting cheek cramps. Help! Oh my, the rocky roads I still get mesmerized over. Thanks for posting this. It may look too plain to most, but to us long haulers it's a jewel. Bedazzling!
Couldn’t agree more, I’m currently learning from his videos and half way through my first painting. I have to say that with his help and tips (and brushes) I’ve actually managed to paint better than I’ve ever done before. I learned to paint years ago following bob Ross’s tutorials. He is a legend in his own way but his style is definitely what I’d consider very basic using big brushes and single brush strokes etc. I was just a teenager at 14 when I learned to paint bob Ross’s style but I haven’t actually painted anything since then until recently when I was inspired by Michael to get some oil paints and attempt to learn this far more advanced and detailed way of painting. I wasn’t sure if I would even be able to do this style of painting but his tutorials are second to none and his brushes are amazing (I highly recommend them if you haven’t bought them already). I am attempting to recreate his Sunny river painting and I must say I have far exceeded my own expectations. It’s only half finished at the moment but boy am I pleased with how it’s looking so far.
@@DunkinBiscuits Fly Dunkin Fly! There sure is prime 🧈 on your Biscuits, it was always there, Mikey's good at making it bubble up and soak in. Your determination is also making me cheeks cramp 😁. I too tried Ross (using acrylics me was) but on his first video darn if I kept tweaking the big brush stokes with smaller brushes til the day UA-cam rotated 1 of Mikey's videos whilst I was surfing... Happy happy for ya. Stay loyal, Mikey keeps pulling rabbits out his hat, he's fun.
Last time i was at your Channel you only got 500K subs wow! Congrats For the 1M+. So glad I a.m part OF those who sees your amazing talent ! Thank you For being One OF My biggest inspiration In painting!

I always use acrylic under painting. Then let the oil rest a couple hours if need be while I work on another section. My paint was just right and I could go layer to layer fairly fast.
Olá, " xará " Michael. Te acompanho há bastante tempo e, é fascinante o que faz com o pincel. Nada deve a fotografia. Sucesso mais ainda. Grato. Cite Parnaiba, Brasil.
😂😂😂 Might there be something unique with the name Michael that we dont know .. from angel myko to Myko Scofield then myko James smith ... Not forgetting myko Jackson 😂😂
Have you done any videos on how to paint a group of trees in full sun, as seen through breaks in the foliage from a full shade forest? So the foreground is in shade, then you look through the trees and see a background in full sun? I see this on walks in deep woods with trees across a river in full sun I would like to attempt to paint.
Enjoyed it. I do like listening to Your music while watching. However, when I am painting I need more vigorous music, to get me motivated , to Keep moving, and NOT fall asleep. Only problem, too many want LOVE song, easy listening.. I use to LOVE NEW AGE MUSIC in the 80's, but somehow it shifted to more ROMATIC, sexy, and the vigorous music was somewhat placed for " 2 Steps to HELL". Evil, and Dark. Almost making anyone who dare venture to listen to this type of music, as a dark , evil type person.. UGH, such is life. TOO many NIT PICKERS, trying to people into peg holes. Being a Realistic Artist also does not get great reception.
Painting is nice but … I can see the background being done fast but the purpose of this video is to show us how to paint rocks, that part should have been done much slower and with some king of explanation. My eyes could not keep up with your work. It’s too bad. Anyways… defeats the purpose. Nice painting though.

I just started oil painting so your process is fascinating. How many hours did you wait between ?”layers?
Under painting can be done in acrylic so you don’t have to wait to put oil on top of it and I hope he has done it same way
I always use acrylic under painting. Then let the oil rest a couple hours if need be while I work on another section.
My paint was just right and I could go layer to layer fairly fast.
Peerless! endless magic of a perfectionist!! How much time does it really take to work on a painting?
wow very beautiful 👍👍

who knows, the author paints with gouache and on paper? or is it canvas and oil paints?
😀👍👍
Nice, but can you draw anything from imagination? :)
I would put money on it that he can. 👍
Sure can!

Можно долго-долго заворожённо смотреть на движение Вашей кисти...
кто знает, автор рисует гуашью и на бумаге? или это холст и масляные краски?
