Your "rainy'" paintings are my favorites, the way you riproduce the wet surfaces Is amazing..and that moment of the day like late afternoon with the city lights start to be lighted up Is my favorite part of the day. Amazing, you are so good.
I had a minor surgery a few days ago. I watched this while having some horrible pains at 1 in the morning post-op. I didn't even finish the video before falling asleep. Something about it is so comforting watching the palette knife dance across the canvas and create shapes out of nothing. I came back to see the finished masterpiece.
Thank you all! Like I said, it was a minor surgery (so minor that it doesn't even involve incisions or stitches), but it's still been giving me some reoccurring pain every so often. I've only had one flareup today, so I think I've been recovering quite nicely! Thank you all again for the support!
I have yet to find an artist that captures "rain" and all the feelings that come with it, better than you. I feel melancholy, bittersweet, hopeful, renewed, lost. Just beautful
so cool to see confusing blobs slowly turn into recognisable and incredibly detailed things!! its amazing the amount of finesse youre able to get with just the one tool
I am absolutely riveted by your ability as an artist. Nothing pretentious with your work. I also appreciate the placement of the flecks of light on the people in relation to the shops, street lights, and car headlights. Bravo, and cheers from the U.S. ☺️.
Just mesmerizing to watch these beautiful pieces come to life. I absolutely love this person’s work. Such vision and talent. Every now and then we find a youtube channel that further enriches our lives. I’m so happy I found this one. Thank you, Dusan, for sharing your work with us.
This is the kind of thing that reminds me of my fleeting and wistful thoughts that I have had at times about how I want to fall in love with and in turn be loved by an artist. Their minds and souls have to be so very beautiful, to give life to art like this, to be able to paint their imagination across canvas in something so elegant, evocative, soulful and quietly romantic.
Dusan! I’m totally captivated by your technique and results. I’m a subscriber for some years now and try to watch every one of your videos. When I start watching I can’t stop until the end. I also was totally captivated by watching you mix paint. But…. I want you to please show us your painting knives. Yes, I confess, I have thrown my brushes away and forsaken French Impressionism. My 50 year obsession with DeStael remains.
I like how its just paint at first but you can slowly see what the artist is trying to depict, just randomly patches of paint suddenly becoming the reflections on a wet road. Amazing work!
I will never understand how this is even possible. Its the fact you are thinking so many steps ahead. literally raw dogging perspective, color, size and WHAT TO EVEN PAINT while just doing it, you sir are definetly a Master in your craft, huge respects
I don't usually comment on videos, but this painting moved me. It put me in mind of Van Gogh's "A Starry Night", or something similar; lulling, dreamy, and slightly out of focus. Thank you for this little bit of tranquil solace, it is truly beautiful! 💕
This is amazing. I'm also an artist and I feel like I could do something like this but never without a reference. I have the hand precision, the technique, the patience, but I feel I lack the creativity. What amazes me is your ability to just make what seems in retrospect to be the best decisions on the spot when it comes to color, shape, and placement. Why does the green look so perfect in the window? Why does this specific orientation of people look so aesthetically pleasing?
C'est magnifique ! Un grand merci, je vais essayer de peindre au couteau, vous m'avez donné envie d'essayer. Votre travail est superbe, je vais peindre une rue de Marseille, enfin disons que je vais essayer...
Art is an illusion, it tricks the eyes to think what the object identifies as. Some people try to make an object look as realistic and perfect as possible, but when its done, it lacks soul, it lacks the fun and life in it. On the other hand, some paint merged together can create that exact illusion, with life, with creativity. Illusion is strong and art is proof of that. You can make an umbrella with semi circles, and you can make lanterns with bright colors. The trees are made with swipes of green, and the orange mixed with green is the reflection of the lanterns, the eye and the brain gets tricked by these paint meshed together with some calculation into a beautiful rainy city. And this also concludes to another meaning. This long paragraph does prove that a painting is worth a thousand words. This shows how powerful art can be. This is the real modern art, and I wish it will stay the way it is. Imagination is what drives people into being artist, they want to express themselves into these canvas, to bring it to life, to bring it into what the want it to be. A happy face, a fantasy painting, or a rainy city. The canvas is boundless if imagination is boundless. You can't expect a masterpiece without imagining it. And thats how many things are formed, light bulbs cannot be created if the inventor didn't imagine it, didn't think of how it will turn out. This artist wouldn't make this masterpiece if he hadn't imagine it, hadn't planned it. Imagination turns into illusion, illusion is art, and art drives people into imagining more, its a cycle of beauty.
It's impressive how you create movement throughout your paintings and good complimentary color schemes! Your paintings spark a yearning for something more
Absolutely stunning. Amazing to watch you paint with such care, especially during your moments of blending and ensuring every detail is how you'd like it. And your sense and understanding of color theory is immaculate!
I usually get bored quickly but this was so immersive and soothing that I watched the entire video, so beautiful and inspiring. Wish I were an artist too
The emotions the painting gave were truly unspeakable.just a look into the painting and you're back in those old days. Really a great painting. Keep doing this work . Complete support..❤
favourite one oh my DAYS this style is so good because you can mentally fill in the mushy bits with what you think you see while the painting itself is a beautiful scene. DAMN!!
My mom was talented like this. I didn’t inherit that talent. I’ve got no clue how to put little spots of paint on a canvas and make it look like something. Absolutely amazing!
watching you paint is so interesting like you put down your colors and one moment it’s an undefined blob and the next it’s something beautiful and well detailed like what !! where did that car come from !!!!! event the way light reflects on the paint adds to the piece it’s so beautiful and well done ❤
I'm weird.. I love the painting at 5:08 and with nothing more. .. it would give the feeling of a painting of a memory, a small window of time etched on the mind but just a specific moment and place. Not sure if I've explained it right.
Blank canvas coming to life.
❤❤❤
Arnt we as human too❤❤❤

hope you recover soon. My sister had surgery once.

the ability to capture reflections on a very wet street always always impresses me. Very beautiful!

Sublime comme toujours.
Merci Dusan 👏💛
