I really want to buy at max , the only thing that stops me for awhile is the question " is this good on prospecting ?( nuggets) because there are mining sites in my place

Why a high tone for bottle caps?? That's confusing as high tones are normally the 'keeper' tones on most detectors. A Fisher F70 can be set to i.d. iron as high tones though but a bottle cap is obviously not what one would necessarily want as a high tone.
What do you think Kellyco, which of these seven detectors has the quickest recovery speed/response times; the AT Max, the XP Goldmaxx Power, or the XP Deus, or the Teknetics G2/T2 or the Fisher F70/75 ??
How deep does it go....? Will it go as deep as the Teknetics T2 SE....? I can't understand when you say it goes deep but you don't show how deep......someone else has to spend their money just to find out. Help us out here.....

i wish i have
Bought one last summer , three hrs on it , no water and it acting Erratic even if I disconnect the coil ,change frequencies it’s still erratic ...any ideas ? It’s frustrating because I had the pro before this with low hrs on it and same thing . Sent back to Garrett , they said I needed a coil and a new board ! They said it got wet and I never ever submerged anything but the coil in water 😢
Is there anything else I can check because Garrett is closed ? Thank you

nice metal detector. wish I could afford a metal detector. but maybe one day.
They are becoming plentiful today, and with detectorist 'Geezers' dying off, they are showing up in charity thrift shops and junk sales barns, pawn shops. Last two used units cost only $35 each. After cleaning of corroded battery contacts, switches, dials, connectors, they work fine. Ebay always has several.
Fun hobby. Illegal in some states, municipalities, state, national parks. Check laws. Get permission. Re-cover your holes.

Found on You Tube, It is typical British dry humor about the often dysfunctional lives of a few folks, Danbury Metal Detecting Club, that take their metal detecting as more than a hobby. They often celebrate at the local pub, after a day of 'detecting' :)

so sad it's only at pro with light but not for scuba or dive so why it's still waterproof machine . after 6 years same machine so sad.
Toyota Subaru you really don't understand why it's waterproof but no for scuba diving? You do realize scuba diving isn't the only reason for wanting a waterproof machine right? They have a diving machine already anyway.
I have the Fisher 1280X underwater 'scuba' detector = new is was $999.00. I just ordered the AT Max, I read that it's water proof down to 10' = ok for snorkeling or shallow diving. Upfront the sales guy told me that is was built for fresh water, that it did not work well around salt water or wet ocean sand.
The best at max I have ever had the beast machine, I don't like the equinox 800 settings crap ,stick to garrett what next garrett please tell.
Atpro max is nothing but an added name and a light, equinox kills this thing on land and especially in the water , pull ya shit together Garrett and come up with something other than a rename
Minelab equinox 800 is ten times better than these joke cheaply made gimmicks
