The screeching cockatoos are your worst enemy and the fallow deers best friend when stalking fallow deer or any other deer here in Australia, the one that was screeching at you was a sentry and he was warning the rest of his flock to your presence unfortunately the deer listen to him as well and are alerted as soon as they hear the damned things screeching a warning, great vid though ,pity your camera was playing up.
Awesome to see Remi down here in Australia... Can't wait for Steve Rubella to come, btw we call shrimp prawns.... So it's throw another prawn on the barbie...
Remi. Me and my wife love watching your hunts. Of all the hunting shows we watch and are subscribed to. Your the best. No offense Tim😂. Thanks for another great film. Bill&Cyndi
Great hunt and congratulations to you and your new bride. Often times, the story and recreation of the hunt is more exciting than the sound and sight of the flight of the arrow.
Done well mate, they weren't real mature bucks though so keep going and you've got a decent chance of finding something a fair bit better. The screeching is a sulphur crested cockatoo, between them and corellas lots of hunts are blown along with roos, all part of the fun over here. You need to try a sambar hunt in Victoria public land for a real challenge 👍
Hi mate are fellow deer easy to hunt with a bow?? I love hunting and im about to buy a compound bow but dont know whats good so would u have any recommendations?Cheers
Great vid mate, you did well to find a few, it was one of the hardest ruts in most areas because of the unseasonable warm weather, don’t tell to many people how good the hunting is here👍🏽
Hi Remi - Nice work on the pig, and congratulations on what went down at lake tekapo. Quick question - are you just smacking through the ribs with the pocket knife, or do you have a little saw somewhere too? Seems like a decent way of field butchering a pig.
I’ve never been hunting but I’m curious. How do you deal with the flies while butchering the meat or leave it hanging overnight? Will it not spoil the meat?
@@bearfootbowhunter3054 Being from Australia, I know flies are next-level annoying than they ever could be in North America. My question is, is that your experience hunting in Australia, or more your experience hunting in the Northern Hemisphere?
no they haven't wiped dingos out, feral dogs have bred with dingos creating hybrids which has made them even more dangerous, our shit government tries keeping the numbers down by using a poison called 1080 which i and many, many others aren't a fan of at all!
We have 6 species of deer. The only species with a tag draw and season is Hog deer. The other five (Sambar, Fallow, Red, Rusa and Axis) there is no seasons or limits. Laws on where you can hunt and what licences you need to be able to hunt vary state to state. Public land there are laws such as no spotlighting but private land is basically a free for all.
Roo is delicious. I buy kanagroo fillet from the supermarket all of the time, the steak can be tough. Cooked rare seasoned with salt & pepper is amazing.
That damn 80’s Australian Tourism ad for the USA has a lot to answer for. We NEVER say “Throw another shrimp on the barbie”. Ever. We don’t say shrimp, we say prawn. The phrase was manufactured for Americans. It needs to be wiped from the earth.

Great job mate. Would love to see you hunt sambar in the low country of Victoria!! great shot on that stag!

Love your hunts. I would like to see more of the cooking and eating after the kill.
Next time you’re in Australia come to Victoria and stalk sambar in the high country. You won’t regret it
Great hunt and congratulations to you and your new bride.

Dude, Remi is a killer! 4 animals in the first 10 minutes of video, hot damn
Great Video, cool to see you hunting Down Under.

I just seen it video..just wondering where u were now hunting bro..ty
Ive seen the back pack method of carrying a small deer before and I know your going to be picking off dozens of ticks.
Sulphur crested cockatoo mate.
That bird sounds like a damn Ptarodactyl.
SHRIMP. It’s a god damn prawn
Warning...! Don't spook the Kangaroos, they are like early warning sensors for the deer...if the roos run the deer run..!!!
Great video. Listened to you on the meateater podcast with the bear attack... crazy!
Great Vid man, self filmed that tuff 👍👍👍
Where abouts in Australia was this?

When your going through the long grass look out for brown snakes

Dude they don’t say shrimp on the barbie. They have prawns. But you are right about the deer. It’s wide open man.
Hey Remi,
What sort of pack are you using in this video?
Which part of Oz this is?
What area is this in?
Thanks.
Good stuff as always Remi...You are a killing machine!
You should try a public land hunt next
Last one I guess was a 12 pointer???

So hard to shoot and film, well done!
That's the screech of the rare Australian drop bear
Can you cook the wild game you shoot? I enjoy seeing it
Great video mate
Mate did you eat the pig? They usually have a disease in Aus
I’ve never been hunting but I’m curious. How do you deal with the flies while butchering the meat or leave it hanging overnight? Will it not spoil the meat?
Michael Johnson usaly cover it with a sheeat or fine cloth to keep them off wile it hangs

Walking through long grass in a swamp makes me think - snakes.
I’d wouldn’t be walking through
Dave Novak they only bight you once
Would be too cold for them to be out then I'd say
that angry bird was a Cockatoo mate hahaha
Meateater there were some good episodes with you in them
Anyone know what kind of bird the "unhappy bird" was? That is some amazing avian cry-holing.
That's a Cockatoo - Get about 30 of them in a group and it's deafening
Those ruddy Cockatoos! Lucky there weren't more of them man they'd drive you mad..
Just wondering what you’re shooting with here? Cheers!
It’s the Prime Centergy
Why not watch during class am i right
Please come to Tasmania
can you legally import deer trophy from Australia
great video
Is this in the nsw/vic boarder
Awesome !!!🏹🦌
Anyone know where abouts in australia these hunts happened. Which state/territory
looks like Queensland mate
This video is super good but why is it uploaded in such low resolution?
Oregonhunter Studios that's what happens when you get to a video early
Anyone else have the sound cut out random on this video?
Gotta love those Cockys! Many stalks have been ruined by a noisy cocky spooking some deer.
Does anyone know what bow he's using
What area were you in?
Interesting to know what your thoughts are on the feral dog & cat problem down there ?? I heard the dogs have pretty much wiped out the Dingo.
no they haven't wiped dingos out, feral dogs have bred with dingos creating hybrids which has made them even more dangerous, our shit government tries keeping the numbers down by using a poison called 1080 which i and many, many others aren't a fan of at all!
Do they just like not have tag limits and such in Australia lol

need to change that title , he's in Australia not New Zealand
oops
Honestly if you hadn't mentioned the camera was broken and instead just said you were hunting in spooky haunted woods I would have believed you.👻
where in Austrlia can you hunt??
Everywhere. Conditions are dependent upon the state you are in
Nobody in Australia says "throw another shrimp on the barbie" and I hate hearing Yanks say it...
And we hate hearing y'all call us yanks. guess we all just annoy each other
@@texaswhitley I only did that in irony:P
Our friends across the pond are just as cool as we. We can all learn from each other.
I think you cooking that bird would make a good video.
The only way to cook a cockatoo is with the boiled stone method, you put a stone in with bird and when the stone is soft you can eat the cockatoo.
just found your channel and, HELLYEAHHHHHHH!!
You not worried about tuberculosis in our Aussie pigs bud. ?
What
Ever hunted zamba?
Sambar?
That was no bird - that was a pterodactyl !!!!!
I’m watching in class two!
Oregonhunter Studios this will teach me better than class would
jose cortes it sure will
kinda obvious when u spell too wrong
When are they gonna learn we don’t say shrimp on the fuckin barbie😂 it’s a prawn, but when they say”shrimp on the barbie” they show a mud crab😂🤦♂️
Your bow is crazy loud
It's a different sound but not louder then any other bow! I've tested a lot of different bows!
Billy Joe Smith Matthews bow are noticeably waay quieter
Nothing worse than the rabbits here and the wild hogs destroying farms
Rich mans game
Ohh there so cute.
"Throw another shrimp on the barbie"
Yawn. No one in Australia says that and it has never been a saying.
A deengo aight mah baeebee
You shot a roo for meat ? You're not a fussy man.
Roo is delicious. I buy kanagroo fillet from the supermarket all of the time, the steak can be tough. Cooked rare seasoned with salt & pepper is amazing.
Watching at work !

What in the fuck kinda bird is that? Jeesus!
Dont day shrimp it’s a fucken prawn
308 would've been quick
WE CALL THEM PRAWNS NOT A SHRIMP AND WE CHUCK SNAGS ON THE BARBIE MATE GET YA FACTS RIGHT!!!!!
also i think your great i have nothing against you XD
I refuse to hunt into anymore in Australia, ever since they started oppressing gun owner's rights.
we have ALWAYS had oppressive gun laws... your loss brah
devils garage only since 96 could have anything b4 then
Don't feel too oppressed here mate, bolt action rifles are perfectly fine for hunting, should only ever need 1 shot for a kill 👍

I fucking love this show. I wish i could be friends with Remy.
Can you guys do more rifle hunting
Not sure I’d risk eating pigs they scavenge carcass’s too much
I am starting a gofundme to bribe Remi to shave.
Deer nope not Australian
What do you mean? We have deer in Australia
Australia doesn’t exist.
