Does the mirror room in the ferrous tree with all those statues count towards map completion? I think I've gotten everything but that so far and I'm at 99% map completion and I can't get through the door to the other side. Is there some sort of puzzle for that or is it tied to new game plus somehow? I'm trying to 100% complete it before I got to new game plus but I'm not sure I can if I can't access that door.

The last one got me on my playthrough. Walking up the ash pile normally left a square at the top unexplored. Had to do some jumping on a second try to get it. Worth to mention the severed hand relic too, that chimes whenever theres a hidden room nearby.

I have all the angels, the 100% of the map, maximum health, fervor, collectibles, amulets, relics, everything. But how I said I believe is bc I don't have the last ending and I will hate myself if is bc of that

Looked at YT to solve the bones books puzzle...and that stupid hidden ground in the library to get the final empty bottle... Great game but some of the secret are absolutely garbage and impossible to solve by our own, the Internet Hive Mind is required like in good ol' 80 with Nintendo Power to progress in Zelda 2 or Faxanadu😅
Bones puzzle was way too obscure. I didn't notice that there were only one of each of those bones, which is necessary for cueing you to look at the lore for the requirements. Once I read that, I didn't need the requirements explained; they're pretty straightforward. Have nothing (unequip everything) do nothing (sit still for some amount of time) and be fervent (could mean either have full fervor upgrades or full fervor bar). I think if there were three graves with the Bones owners names, or maybe skeletons missing those exact bones only, that would be a better clue

In case someone is still stuck at 98-99 % and watched every „100 %“ video on UA-cam: I had the same problem in NG+ and I needed 2 % for my platin trophy. The map was stuck on 98 % but I did all the illusory walls. I even had rooms that didnt show in those videos lol. My last idea was the DLC. I spoke with the trumpet guy near Jondo and defeated the Amanecida in Jondo. I got the trophy after the fight. Doesn‘t make any sense, maybe a bug.

But, I played NG+ and lost all of evening, to try unlock 100%, but map stoped on 98,35% (I opened all original map with "Mourning and havoc" and killed Isidora (they did not affect % of the map)) Аnd what happened? When I killed first Amanecida, I get achievement "Witness The Miracle", and when I open new area in Stir of Dawn DLC (Hall of the Dawning) - Map have 100%...
Just to know, when you start NG+, do you have to unlock all the map again? (If not) Also if you got 100% map in NG, when you go to NG+ do you have to complete It all again to get the 100% achievement?
yeah but now they got that pirate ship area and the salt mine area. there's one square in the top left of the right side of the havoc area i just cannot get to, it's just an up in the air map square

I don't get it how to solve the library puzzle. I unequipped all the items, read all the books, filled up my fervour, stood nearby the last book after have read it and nothing happened. What's the catch?
So is the completion percentage based solely on how much of the map you've explored, or does it take into account things like prayers, relics, etc.? I just beat the game("true ending") a couple days ago, but I was only at 99.61%(or something like that.) I also had the area directly above where you start the game, where Esdras's sister/tomb is(at least I think that's who it is?) but I killed Esdras before I learned about the DLC questline, so I just started a NG+. However, I doubt I'm going to habe the desire to replay/100% the entire game again, especially considering how much more difficult I imagine its going to be, as well as the fact that I got a bit bored with the game towards the end of my first play through. At least I have all my prayers, relics, etc.

*If you missed Gemino Quest*: On the right side of the cave entrance on 3:58, you can equip Linen of Golden Thread and jump. You will unlock the area.

Yes with dlc it goes beyond 100% you need another playthrough to solve the puzzle
