UA-cam finally offered your channel to me and what a blessing it has turned out to be. I'm in my 70's and stopped crocheting when work got in the way. I'm retired now and this gives me something constructive to do instead of binge watching TV. Thank you for the clear instructions.
Hi! It would be very helpful for us beginners if you tell us where to put a stitch marker for spots we're going to stitch into again versus saying "where my nail is" and to stitch mark the second chain, previous slip stitch etc. If you could also show what the project looks like to the camera before moving on so we can compare what ours looks like to yours each step. Thanks for the tutorial.
Ommmg! Love the tutorial! Thank you! Would you be open to showing how you make your hats with the letters stitched in them? Like the FAMU hats or how we could go about stitching any letter in. Willing to pay for that tutorial sis! 😂🩷
Yay ruffle tutorial next up beanie? Plz 🙏🏾. I have this skein I just love the stripe collection. Great tutorial easy to follow. Can’t wait to see what’s next (beanie maybe 🤔?) jk whenever your ready of course. I usually use and invisible seam stitch or turn my work imma try this way too. Always good to have different stuff in your arsenal
Hi, thanks so much for this tutorial, I finished mine but the flared part is a lot more ruffled and wavy than the way yours looks. For the next one, should I just do 2 and 3 increases and not do 4? I don’t want it wavy. Thank you
hey! i found that some of my hats come out more ruffled than others as well. but yes i would say you can do two rows for the brim instead of three (so no increasing with 4 stitches in between like you mentioned). or, for the first row of the brim, you can spread out how often you increase (i.e. put 3 regular stitches in between each increase). let me know if that helps 💕
Hi just wanted to say that I enjoyed watching your videos (and i’m a new subscriber 🤗). I was wondering do you do anything extra to the hats after you finished them (blocking, etc.) or you sell them as is?
@@kendalltai ty for answering so quickly! Do i keep chaining 2 at the end of each row on the body as well? Also should i make a double crochet just below the "chain 2" like we were domingo for the top part or should i double crochet on the next one instead?
I’m new to crocheting. I have weight 4 yarn but it says to use a 5.5 mm hook. Is that the maximum size hook I can use? Or is that just the recommendation?
you can use a bigger hook if you want the stitches to be lose, the bigger the hook the loser the stitches are. and the smallest the hook the tighter stitches be! hope you understood me 😂❤
not me having to add two extra rows to the top for my big ass melon 😭 (BTW, subtract however many rows you add to the top from the body!) great tutorial tho! my first ever hat turned out amazing!
Great tutorial! I just finished making mine. However, it's really really big 😭 I think I messed up somewhere. Do you mind sharing the measurements you used to make that hat?
It could have been your tension or hook size. I'm just now seeing this video for the first time so I haven't followed her method yet. When I do I will do her way and see what happens then do it again with a slightly smaller hook and see if it makes a difference. I will update you.
Aren’t the stitches double crochet? Can we get a stitch count at the end of the row minus the closing stitches please and thank you. Row 1= 20 DC, Row 2= 30?
I thought so too, almost gave up, but what I understood was that at the beginning of each row you got to do a dc2tog and at the end of the same row making sure that the first dc is in the ch2 hole, in the beginning and the 2nd DC is in the ch2 at the end of row.
girl i love you and i love your content but i really don’t think was beginner friendly bc of the little differences/ tricks u were showing as ur preference from there it got really confusing cus it’s like what stitch is she really going in😭😅
thank you! but yeahhh this was my first hat tutorial and i realized that may be hard to understand for beginners, so in my new ruffle hat tutorial i used stitch markers so it could be clearer. that video may be better!

I love how you show where the stitches are supposed to go. I’m a beginner and this helps a lot! Thank you! ❤

I loved this tutorial! Mine turned out a little too big but I’m working on another to fit!
this was an amazing tutorial
thank you! glad i could help 💕
This is so good, a fantastic tutorial ☺☺
thank you!!! 💕
If doing a big ruffle do you do 2 rows of 3 DC instead the grim you’re using here?

Why is my flared part not standing out, it's folding in... I need pointers please 🥺

You’re a good teacher my problem is you speak so fast! Slow it down for people like me 😊
For the body am i supposed to make 1 double crochet on each stitch or keep doing the "1-2-3-4-5-6-7" step that we did on the last 7th row?
just one on each stitch!

Please explain the brim… is there a decrease such first?
I figured it out
Real just confused on how to do the relaxed brim bucket hat

Great tutorial! I just finished making mine. However, it's really really big 😭 I think I messed up somewhere. Do you mind sharing the measurements you used to make that hat?
Omg same 😢 I think I made my crown too big because even with several rows with no increases it just turned out to be a huge circle :/
It could have been your tension or hook size. I'm just now seeing this video for the first time so I haven't followed her method yet. When I do I will do her way and see what happens then do it again with a slightly smaller hook and see if it makes a difference. I will update you.
Do you have a written pattern ?
Please do you close and do the closing of each row on the body?
it’s the same as the top of the hat!
Thank you
was you supposed to chain 2 every row ? once you got the the body i ain’t here about a chain one or two
yes, chain two every row!
Please is it double crochet or single crochet for the body part?
double!
So for the body of the hat is just single crochet all the way around? Do I still do the decreases
@@shauwntaej yes just crochet all the way around, no increases or decreases 💕
Aren’t the stitches double crochet? Can we get a stitch count at the end of the row minus the closing stitches please and thank you. Row 1= 20 DC, Row 2= 30?
@@kathyhardyjones6757 yes! row 1 = 10, row 2 = 20, row 3 = 30, row 4 = 40, row 5 = 50, row 6 = 60, row 7-16 = 70, row 17 = 93, row 18 = 116, row 19 = 139. all double crochet.
cute
Let's Go YT Family 🥰😊
Came here from TikTok 🎉
13:08 ok it got better im fine now . Had to rewind cuz I got confused
For some reason I’m not getting 70 stitches
why is my hat so small?? im doing the same thing (i think)
i would suggest seeing if your tension could be looser or only doing 8 rows for the top of the hat instead of 7!
@@kendalltai thank you !!!
Can I get this in slow motion cause baby you lost me after the first cross lol
it’s mad complicated
let me know if there’s any part i can help with!

The hat came out too big I don’t know what I did wrong
i would suggest seeing if your tension could be tighter or only doing 6 rows for the top of the hat instead of 7!
8:09 on the fourth row and u confused me on here…what u doing again ? I’m sorry lol
