I love how you see everyone fail over and over and there's that one girl who gets almost no screen time, and then at the end, you see her win it with only 17 deaths.
To be fair, she didn't have as many reactions to dying, because she didn't die that much. :-)

Haha but even Rockman or Contra had at least some sort of flow of enemies or traps. In the unfair games, traps are just placed rather haphazardly across the screen and you can only guess where to go by trial and error.
But yeah, I feel like people take checkpoints and/or life points for granted, any old game would make you start all over if you got hit once (with the exception of Rockman.. but that had bosses so it's understandable)
Or Dark Souls. Losing to a boss and then having to go all the way through tens of enemies just to get back to the boss.
I swear, the Flamelurker in Demon's Souls would have given them nightmares.

And I gotta say, they performed better than the Elders did with Unfair Mario, or at least they didn't give up so easily.
