We had a blast trailing with the @crawfordsti Crawford Built Crosstrek and it was amazing to see how far our own Crosstrek was able to go with the new additions! @Subaru

The guy is a good spotter!
Thank you!
10:56 “in my backpack I have some booger sugar” lol the ultimate off-road Crawford experience
Wee ;)
The end was amazing.
Just got a 2022 sport model! Stoked to adventure!
I’m sure the Crawford guys would love to come to Honolulu to install these two on my Crosstrek.
Another question, does the stop and go that we find on the trails cause the system to wear out? Or is this due to the torque converter?
Once TC works only with hydraulic force, i think doesnt wear the transmission. Im wrong?
That’s why you trail with the big boys..😂😂
Big Boy Traction!!!!
Them BFGs! As long as u got it with the billet power blocks they can muscle the wheels through!
What about the tr580, works fine ? Any issues with it using on trails ?
Love my Crosstrek….
NAILED IT
The Crawford’s machining looks sweet!
Just got a 2022 limited model!
Nice video!!!
Thank you!
when do u guys enjoy if u are filming all the time ?
We take the highlights or we set aside time to speak about anything we feel would be good. Ultimately, we vlog to remember and share. We hope that our experience helps someone else out.
Am I the only person who noticed that the Crawford Crosstrek has gold wheels on the port side, and black on the starboard side? I'm assuming for ad photo purposes?
Go Crosstrek Go!
Sent it! Lol 😂 we need skid plates tho!
@@therootedprogress skid plates should be the first thing!
I agree but Subarus are pretty well tucked underneath. And also sometimes feel like having Skidplate makes me more careless and reckless haha 😅 not having skid plates makes me more careful. 😂 In all seriousness, Skidplate should always be one of the first mods
How did you like the lionhearts
So far so good. We've only really trailed with em once. But have been impressed with them so far. Good grip and strong enough sidewall for a crossover. The tread design is low to none for road noise on the highway which is a plus. More to come on our adventures to see how these tires continue to perform. At the moment I would definitely recommend em if the price fits your bill. Only other tire I would highly recommend is the Toyo open country at3s
I noticed that you don’t really air down the tires on the trails, which would help more.
Airing down is always helpful. Depends on the tire and how aggressive you want to go. Light quick trails may not need it.
Do they have lift kits or is that stock height?
They have 2inch lift kits.
Kinda skeptical about the power block. Would be cool if I could try before I buy. fb25 forester
Don't know if they would be able to do that, I would check the forester forums to see if anyone has actually dyno tuned their blocks. But in theory it should help and we noticed an immediate difference. It's not mind blowing but response is definitely improved
Which trail is this?
Should be in the video somewhere. But it's in big bear
Any improvement with the mods in terms of ride quality? and will the air oil separator need to be replaced eventually in the long run??? Interested in getting these mods done on my 2020 crosstrek
In regards to the billet power blocks, drivability is improved because the loss of torque from adding larger wheels and tires is regained. For us it was pretty significant because we were able to throttle through the rocky section at the end. If you watch our first video with the lift kit, his Crosstrek struggled to crawl over rocky ledges with larger tires and no billet power blocks. These things made climbing through the rocky section at the end a breeze.
Wheel and tire combo that were running are lighter than the oem wheel and tire so that also helps.
Air oil seperate helps in the long term at maintaining adequate oil in the crankcase. So overtime we should see a decrease in oil consumption. No I do not think you will need to replace the air oil separator. Should be good for the life of the vehicle. 👍
@@therootedprogress awesome thanks heaps For getting back to me. Definitely need this mod mod then.
What roof basket is that
Yakima load warrior on oem crossbars
What have you seen in terms of fuel economy? Did it help at all?
Havnt really noticed much difference. If anything less it could just be a heavier foot with the extra torque and HP lol
@@therootedprogress honestly I have already bought and installed these parts since I wrote this comment. Is there somewhere I can find upcoming events if I do not have social media?
I mainly find events through Facebook groups and Instagram. If you don't have those, then might as well make an account just for car stuff 👍
@@therootedprogress I appreciate the responses, thanks.
Bad ass!
These. Videos make me love these cars more and more. Who needs a jeep LOL! These cars are very capable.
Absolutely! These are incredibly capable for what they are. But you still need a jeep to do jeep things haha 🤣
Niiiccce what trail is this? Looking for something new
It's in Big Bear CA. 😊
Gotta get flexible now
She does know she doesn’t need to yell while talking to the camera right 🤣🤣
Shhhhh 🤫 it's okay. It helps me in post not to have to artificially raise the volume 😆
Not crazy about the gold wheels on an orange Crosstrek. I love the orange color and gold wheels on a white or maybe black vehicle, but not orange. Black wheels would look better IMO.
Orange on gold is kinda of a thing but definitely not everyone's taste. It lacks contrast so I can see what you mean.
And they were $free. 99😂
10min47sec 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why does everyone and the owner even say crossTRACK? Haha
что они делают? любой Гелендваген на шоссейной резине легко тут проедет, даже не включая блокировой, ну может на понижайке.
The limitstion was not tires, but wheel travel, articulation, and distribution of power which all are not in the crosstreks favor.
@@therootedprogress I mean, it's strange to look at the feeble attempts of non-jeeps to go through some holes. They are basically not for this. and their four-wheel drive too. At the same time, an ordinary Gelendvage will drive through these pits without any problems without straining.
@@swenjarno9439 ...and how much does a G-Wagen cost to purchase and operate here? Nothing is invincible either.
These are basically CARS. They can easily exceed 30MPG, and base models can be purchased by under-employed college students. I think it's impressive that ANY car can rockcrawl.
@@RKmndo Well, I have a MB G300, diesel, 1996. It costs 25-35 thousand euros in normal condition in Russia. It is certainly good that a fairly simple and inexpensive small car can drive over bumps ;). But this is a very easy off-road. In addition, with a hard coating. Our off-road - mud, clay, water. And of course the best SUV is a tank ;)))))
@@swenjarno9439 Is diesel cheaper than gasoline in your country? In the USA, diesel is often even more expensive than premium gasoline.
G-Wagens are legendary for their off-road ability as a factory-stock vehicle, but they weren't well-known in the USA until a decade or two ago. Even now, they're considered expensive, even moreso than the Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Land cruiser, Land Rover, and Ford Bronco have become. Affordable 4WDs like the Suzuki Jimny aren't sold here. Working-class people have to make do with AWDs, drive a rustbucket 4WD, or go into massive debt to have a newer 4WD.
Here, the Wrangler Rubicon, Bronco Sasquatch, and 4Runner TRD Pro are considered the off-road elite. Most offroaders don't seem to leave them stock either. They often put massive tires on them. They swap to 1-ton axles, long-travel suspension lifts, aftermarket tcases, 1-ton transmissions, and the like...often incurring massive debt to do so.
