Good video Dr. Eric. You convinced me to take my Silveraldo to a shop for the change over predicated on the weight of the battery for starters. Then there are all those plastic tabs that want to self dis-struct especially when doing the conversion in the Winter outdoors in Maine. Even when working on non-electrical repairs, I always wear eye protection. You only get two chances with your eyes before you are blind.
Hi Paul, there are several ways to doing this. To me, removing the plastic terminal tray (a) reduce the chances of me accidentally hitting it with the battery by giving me more room to work. And, (b) flipping the plastic tray does put tension on cable connections wiring; I didn't want to do that with four year old weathered connections. But, thanks for sharing your perspective and watching my video.

Thank you so much. I am glad the video was informational and insightful.
40 lb for battery damn that is heavy. I do not believe you had to remove the terminal tray, just flip it out of the way was all you had to do.
