Great video on the Nexus noob. Definitely a great took overall and for my experience better than the Goxlr overallx
The problem I have with this review video is, it cost me money after watching it. I now have to buy something I didn’t know existed or needed. With my very limited desk space, the Nexus should replace 3 devices. Great review
Thank you very much, I appreciate the support
great to see this review, most of the one's posted 2 years ago did say that software was heavily lacking and it was hard to find any update on that. I guess I will be going for this mixer after all : D
Thank you
Thanks for covering this mixer and the generosity of the company.
Thank you for this detailed guide on the product and also the relateable comparision to its well known competitors, will definitely ponder about getting one.
Thank you for the vid Noob. While I might not, atm, have a use for such, its really nice to hear about things like this so if that need does arise, I now have a better idea of what might suit me.
This is exactly what I've been waiting for. Appreciate you bringing it to light.
do you need to set it up as your USB sound card, or is kind of external mixer only?
Great review! Having those physical dials to control sound is always a huge help.
I always look forward to your videos. Thank you so much for always keeping us updated on streaming tools and game development (particularly Star Citizen.) ;-)
Nice, good luck everyone! Thanks for the video!
Stage, office, studio - haptic hardware is often the most convenient interface to control your stuff. 😁
Great vid! Quick question though, i noticed you have stickers on the knobs for different apps are you able to reprogram the knobs at all?
The knobs are set to input types. There are many choices, but you can not for eg, make the MIC input anything but MIC, because of how it is configured. The 1/8th in jack, is basically input only, The one for Discord/Chat, is proprietary to that. Its good though, because it really speeds up and simplifies.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 awesome thanks for telling me!
Loving the glow around the buttons.
Really makes it pop!
Sooo thank you Noob for the heads up on this product. Only stalled less than two weeks on ordering one. Excited for the stream / computer upgrade.
This thing is really Impressive! I've been looking around for something that does as much work as possible with minimal complexity. This really seems to fit the bill! Nice review!
Been looking at mixers for a while. Definitely gonna keep an eye on this one
Noobifier, always love your content. Thanks for the timely review.... I'm looking into buying one of these.
Loving the kit reviews! Looking forward to more of them.
You, most definitely, are one of my favorite UA-camrs. Thank you for the content you put out there and for your service man
This looks pretty neat. The knobs could show some improvement over other similar peripherals.
Looks awsom! Thank you for your work.
Thanks for the review!!
Awareness of cool tech increases.
Excellent presentation, short sweet and to the point, as always. Keep doing what you do best!
Nice one!
Thanks for the great update, that would take me to the next level.
Awesome review, thanks for the info!
I,m new to streaming but looking to expand, so this may probably be a good expanse for me. Thanks for the review!
Someone mentioned using a Streamdeck to control SC and I think DCS to me recently. It was the first time I’d heard of them… Interesting that the user base seems to range from normal players to creators, hobbyists to professionals. Something to look into since SC is starting to require an extra screen just to manage the complexity.
This device is fantastic
SQ42 release is going to be a crazy time for all SC content creators. Should be fun!
Such a neat little device! Good find!
Thanks for the info Noobifier very detailed
I have seen and used this in action on stream on Noobifier2 and it makes everything so easy.
It's a great time for us streamers! We have so much great tech now. Audio mixing was the most problematic part of streaming when I started, but devices like this really help to minimize the headaches.
Love the setup. I'm always jelly of all the cool gear you have.
looks great and as always, love your work Noob :)
That is one slick unit. Thanks Noob for reviewing the Nexus.
My question is how did you bind your spotify to your console knob, i've been trying to do that and can't
I have google chrome split in windows to a different output. I’m using optical out for chrome to optical in
@@NOOBIFIER1337 i have mine split but for some reason my optical out isn't being read
I’ve watched so many of these videos and I still don’t know what I need! If anyone could offer assistance. I host a learning session on WebEx. I need something where I could push buttons to play 4 songs/sound effects, Control the volume of the songs/sound effects, button to mute my mic (Shure SM7B), and I need to have it work for MacOS. A nice to have is have reverb or changes to my mic, but not necessary. The GOXLR looks perfect, but doesn’t support Mac. Is this something I could use or is there something else I should be looking at?
This can play sounds, control volume and mute. Sounds like it’s what you need.
Perfect! It seems fairly easy to operate, I’m going to give it a shot. Thank you so much! 🎉
Would this be a good entry level tool? Is it one and done or do I need more? Should I have an XLR mic or is a usb Blue Yeti ok ?
I have to see how a USB connects
Awesome video (as always). The only thing I wish more products in this category would consider is dual USB for stream+game setups. I'd love to use 1 device to trigger actions and control audio interfaces on multiple PC's. Sure I can accomplish some of that with voicemeeter or other software, but I would really like to have 1 hardware interface to control all my audio as well as say sending multiple audio channels to my stream pc for listeners and my game pc for discord and in-game voice. I know the Rode Procaster 2 is trying to do that, but I'd love to see an AverMedia option to do similar stuff.
This is true, the level of integration you could get like that would be good. I have mine setup 99% onto one PC and only the game audio connects to the game PC. Everything including discord is on the stream PC to improve latency.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 I love the idea of having everything on my stream PC, with 1 key exception... push to talk... I want it to work both in games and in discord. I run my stream PC headless (no keyboard, no mouse, no monitor, just network and a/v in/out). If I join someone's discord and the channel forces push to talk it's a royal pain in the....
@@DrDronez So the way I have it set up is, my main microphone is only for the stream, and I have a set of a 50 with a boom microphone when I flip it down I speak on discord I flip it up it’s muted and vice versa. I have a single button for a push to talk, but to be honest if I join someone else’s discord and they’re not able to give me voice activity, then I fucking leave because that’s bullshit.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Makes absolute sense. I may consider that route... and we all know you are a NO BULLSHIT kinda guy :)
Thanks Noobifier for bringing this review just at the right time!
Thank you for the video.
using a single monitor setup and this device, can you mute your discord mic whilst playing star citizen without having to alt tab whilst in star citizen as you may want to talk in global chat or to your stream etc? much appreciated
Yes, you can control without needing alt tab.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 thanks... I appreciate it... I will def pick up one of these... great review 👏
Why and how are you using Spotify at the optical input?
I split the OBS alerts and Chrome into two items so I can balance them both
hi i came across your old vid with the lefthanded warethog stick because i m looking for one; but the page in the discription doesn t exist
i wanted to ask you is there any other way without macking printing to get one because i can t finde any
I believe sadly, the gentleman who made mine, died immediately after the video released. I have not seen or heard from them since.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 ok thats sad but thanks for your videos
@@fyfex0132 Yeah, plus now there are so many dual hand options... So it makes it less critical to get a Left TMWH
@@NOOBIFIER1337 yeah, thats a bit sad in my opinion that there is no official lefthanded tmwh
Will there be a comparison video between AVerMedia AX310 and the GoXLR?
I can work on that if you like.
Cool, your rig is impressive and always appreciate your insight
Noobifier your videos always inspire me to step up my rig but with inflation gonna have to shelf that dream
Damn - that's pretty slick.
Dude this was a great review. I also love the stream cart.
Thanks for watching
This is awesome!!!
So many cool things that I may never buy or use, but always nice to see!
That looks super useful!
The Nexus interface looks pretty dope. Cheers.
I just discovered I needed something like this.
No shit...
Good timing.
Pretty slick!
This stuff is all pretty neat
Wow. Looks good
I really like the setups he has
So do I
+BrianMP5T *Don't know where I can fit the AVerMedia® AX310 into the Heatblur tandem 'pit I'm spec'ing out.* Don't anticipate needing Spotify®, as I'm not planning on background music; _do_ anticipate needing engine, systems, and weapons sounds.
I would be happy to discuss it in the discord with you if you like
Hmmm. Might need me one of these.
Please do make a video regarding how to set this up, tech dummies like me would need it.
Oh, this would be so usefull.
I would totally be intrested in a more detailed rundown of the programming possibilities and capabilities of the nexus.
Great video Noobifier, look forward to the next topic 🍻 🤜⚡🤛
Ok, I will work on some more detail. Thanks for the support
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Thanks mate, I am rubbing my pennies together for a desktop as I am still rocking a 5-6 year old Gaming Laptop, so I am scouting for the equipment I am intrested in picking up once I have those pennies in a big enough pile.
Cheers Noobifier 🍻 🤜⚡🤛
That's some funky kit!
Looks like it would be great for high quality wfh
lookin good, lookin good!! :)
Great review I will retire from the military soon as well. I have been wondering if streaming would be a fun and enjoyable way to take up my newly found time!!!
Streaming is a nice distraction and a way to make a new community
@@NOOBIFIER1337 I am looking forward to being able to slow down and not always rushing to meet training deadlines. It will be a nice to be able to calm down and relax with a community that shares a love for gaming and socializing.
GoXlr was my goal until I saw this review. So much power in such a tiny space. Thanks for the review Noob!
I strongly beLieve the cost delta is worth it due to all the extra functions you can achieve with the screen.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 my thoughts exactly. Thank you for making me aware of this.
This is A Pretty impressive device would love to see if they had something smaller with similar features.
It is fairly small though
@@NOOBIFIER1337 i was thinking a cheaper option but it definitely is a nice device, and a big thing it has over the goxlr is the audio mixer with different volume control for stream and streamer
looks cool
Gimme! My son would love this.
yes 30 min video please. thank you!
Did they fix the internals, like the build in general.
What was wrong with the internals?
@@NOOBIFIER1337 I watched Harris's video on it. there were problems with the hardware. "Internals".
@@KhyrisEidan was that video from 3 years ago when it released?
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Yeah or maybe a year? I don't remember. I was just curious if they fixed it since then.
@@KhyrisEidan this is the core of my live-streaming system. Flawless operation on a SM7b
This thing looks really nice.
I do quite a bit of SC Streaming on mining content. This product is very exciting! :)
This thing looks really neat.
It’s a dream once it’s all setup.
Cool little devise.
Oh neat
To me, Nexus, in the world of "gaming", means a Mod manager. Not what you are reviewing, so, I'm quite interested in this video of yours.
Neat piece of kit.
It’s super critical for my workflow
An interesting bit of kit
Truly, like a master class of looking at the needs and building to meet them
Oh wow, that is bigger than it looked in the thumbnail
Great Video
Thanks
I've been threatening myself to start streaming and doing more content for years, but I'm not even interested in listening to me. LOL! Will this make me more interesting?
I like it :)
That thing is insaaane
I don’t stream, but it definitely looks cool
Oh! I see the channel labels are custom by you!
Super fun to customize
Obligatory competition comment

Cool looking, not a fan of the shiny plastic which looks like a fingerprint magnet.
The screen is also a magnet, so just wipe it with a micro cloth every once in a while.
il take a thing please
