Adam Smith if I don’t have visual proof...I don’t even mention it. It’s also why I have a back up camera with me at all times (including cell camera) and back up all my photos of big fish. Back up batteries for the camera and both scales

I have never heard of fishing in the winter. I know people do ice fishing, but fishing like this is just unbelievable. Would love to try this one day
I've had some AMAZING bass fishing days in the dead of winter...i.e cold/snow/ice/etc. I'd say it's a shame most fisherman put the fishing gear away in winter...but with the amount of PRESSURE the waters see in my locale anymore...the hell with 'em. Their loss. 🤘🏼

Ike I have your baitcasters and love them. But sometimes I have trouble setting with different weight lures especially light. Have you ever done a video about settings? Just curious. Keep up the shop and keep the fishing videos coming.

My earliest March 9th and latest Xmas Eve were 5lbs easy on a shadow rap , and a 6 5oz on an old school suspending Yozuri Twitching minnow 3 5/8 ths purple back silver body, from the 90s beautiful bait, it caught everything! Earliest bass 6 5oz March 9th. Great info on cadence

As long as the water isn’t iced over it’s game on! Those are definitely my favorites for winter fishing as well. People look at me like I’m crazy throwing a lipless in the middle of the winter...never count out the reaction bite...NEVER!
Barefoot Bassin' I get the “crazy look”’as well as head shakes from friends when I say I’m going fishing...as long as there is no ice I’ll go too. Caught my pb bass in similar conditions to this with a Beetle Spin. You just never know what they are gonna hit. Good luck!

Very nice! I used to catch them on a small Bomber crankbait in the winter by bumping it along the bottom slowly. The only irritating thing is when the guides ice up, lol.
I know the struggle of iced guides. Never fun.

Nice fishing. I wouldn't mind hooking into some teethy critters that size. I can usually get some smaller ones to bite, so long as there isn't any ice. I'm in south jersey. Last fish I caught was a small bluegill 3 days ago on a flyrod. If I were fishing like you were today, I wouldn't bring any spinning rods at all. I'd bring 2 BFS(shallow light spool, UL,L,ML baitcasting) setups. BFS gear can replace light spinning rod setups. Your new Revo looks nice. I just wish it came in a BFS model, with a light shallow spool. There may actually be an after market shallow spool that will fit your Revo. The only experience with Revos that I have ever had, is with a JDM model Revo ALC BF7. The reel is a bait finesse model with a shallow ported 7.8 gram spool. I have it on a JDM model Xross field 2 piece 6'6" ML rod, and this is one of the most pleasant setups I have ever owned, and fished! It's like fishing with a feather! I can cast things at light as 2 grams, so long as they aren't bulky. I'm just nj BFS monger I guess.

Can somebody explain? When Ike did a hookset, both times he screamed - biggin, but both times he caught relatively small pikes in ~2lb range. Does it mean, the pike fights stronger compare to bass, if we are talking about same weight fish?

It helps to have poke, perch walleye in the water. All kinda like the cold.

I’m getting ready to go fishing today, I got some new toys for Christmas and I’ve been wanting to go badly!

Mike Iaconelli Fishing hahah it was the worst fishing trip ever lol. I’m visiting me dad in Beaumont TX some I don’t really know any good spots to fish so I try to find some on google maps witch I did. I came across a few ponds witch was manmade and had a few people out there so I decided to try them and didn’t get a bit. 😂 So I went down closer to the river witch was a Fail😂 first two cast was hook city. Lost the only live bate I had so I witch to my new mullet lures. Not sure what happened but after about 7 or 8 cast it flew in the river lol so I left and went back to the ponds. At this point I was determined to catch one because I told my dad I’m bringing some home. Then my cast net got rocked so I pulled the release and it started to rip😂😂😂 but I was able to catch one small one so I used it as cut bait. Fished for about two more hours and didn’t get a bite lol 😂 then I was out of there. When removing my tackle box I realize I didn’t have my brand new Fillet knife I just got😂😂😂 that was the Icing on the cake.

Northern bass bite all year long. 85% of my largest bass were caught when water temperature was 40°-50°. The crazy thing in this video is no PFD's while in that rickety boat.

I live in glouster county in sj. Literally am using the same lures lol. I like to throw a fluke wit a lightly awaited hook. Drag is real slow or get tho reaction bites wen I can. I can catch pikeral all day but getting to them largies is tricky

The thing about winter fishing is, what if that boat flipped? You muscles would be froze up in minutes and you would sink like a brick, it’s a tough reality.
