I would love to buy a RV14 kit (not a quick build), but the biggest detractor is the long wait time to get one. I would order the whole thing tomorrow if I didn't have to wait a year+ to get it.
When are you going to start offering Garmin 3DX Touch systems? The Dynon Skyview is OK, but many guys now prefer the Garmin 3DX Touch EFIS system. With Garmin into the Experimental and Light Sport market, and with their pricing at or better Dynon, why not provide this option? I understand that the Garmin X-Team engineers actually build and fly their own RV's.
There are many thousands of RV's flying that have never had any cracking what so ever. A tenancy towards skin cracks in the empenage control surfaces is primarily a function of issues induced during construction. In an effort to help builders avoid this, the control surfaces on the newer designs have been changed.
Really? If you can't get by with 100lbs of baggage in a 2 place, perhaps you should fly commercial or buy a turbine. RV14's can take two real adults, full fuel and 100lbs of baggage. Two place airplane with just about the same useful load as many 4 place airplanes and a 170 knot cruise speed.
Seeing how I am 6 years late to this party I must strongly state that no one can get in my plane and toss there lunch any where.
Rv8 - no finer aircraft … magnificent in every respect

I wish they would have been wearing personal mics. The audio is too low on this video.
Thanks for the great overview!
Good grief, I wish they’d fix the audio. I struggled to hear half of that and had the tv volume cranked up!
The muffler is standard on RV-14
What?
Is there anyway to boost the audio volume/quality on this video?

Hi! Great video. I have a question.. Is the wing robust enough to stand on?
I hate this video!…Had my mind made up to do an RV-8…The excellent presentation this young man did on this RV-14 video has me rethinking that!
A beaut!
Have you addressed the tendency of the trailing edge of the rudder skin to crack overtime (like in the RV-4?)
Van's starting doing that in the RV-9 and RV-10 by adding trailing edge wedge material (skin folds from the front now).
Jon McCulloughBand Good to know...

LOL
I honestly think that was camera auto focus
100pound of bagage cap is insufficient for practical use
For two people??
