I think it’s really nice you show the moments when people turn you down. Every photographer fears that and when you face it too it shows us aspirants we have nothing to worry about 😊
A lot of respect for how you engage with the people whos photographs you take 👍 a far braver, responsible, respectful and fun way to do Street photography. Really enjoy watching your videos
Just goes to show how kind and awesome you are that they allow you to photograph them at the most awkward dog moments and at night at that and also just goes to show how great and kind Mexican people are. Great vid 👌🏽👌🏽
All my camera gear for street photography: trovatten.com/gear/ Hey guys! Which video would you want me to create next? I have a Video Editor now which means I can produce a lot more content for you guys :)! I’m thinking 3-4 videos a month :)!
Hi Fred, me llamo David y soy de San Luis Potosi, México pero vivo en Carolina del Norte US. Acabo de empezar con la fotografía Y la verdad tus videos me gustan mucho por que me motivan mucho. Muchas gracias por tu contenido!
Outstanding shots as always. If I only lived in such a characterful city it would make my night shots look interesting. Fuji do make their lenses robust..... fortunately for you. Keep up the good work; I am learning so much.
I took the risk of doing this as I’m an adoring jewelry designer... my hands were sweating but I got some great shots of people. Never realized how cool it is to photograph people as well as everything else!!
just discovered your channel Frederik and immediately subbed..over 35,000 subs and a couple years ago, you weren't even on YT..you're doing something right..thanks !
Your photos have good pleasing composition ,capture so quickly. I am happy you saved your lens, thanks to UV filter. This happened to me,I saved my 52 mm,35-70 nikor lens of my my Nikon FM10. Thanks for your photos.
i own a sony but the best ( G master) lenses a way bigger then his and if you're looking to do street photography and you dont want to get people's attention go for a fuji its lenses are lighter, smaller and maybe cheaper! now if you have a lot money just go for a leica!
I like the 23mmf2 for cityscapes, even at night. Not as fast as the 23mmf1.4 but a lot smaller. Ditto the 50mmf2 vs the 56mmf1.2, one stop slower but smaller and easier to carry. And if you break it the replacement cost is less than half the 56mm! Glad to see your lens is alive and well.
Mind blowing photography! I love how many people are so happy for you to make their portrait. Such a beautiful city with beautiful people. Thank you for sharing. I hope your 56mm is ok 👌
I’m soooo glad I stumbled onto your channel. You pretty much answer all my questions for my Fuji gear on your videos! And the fact that your in Mexico makes it even better!!!!
OMG!! My heart skipped a beat when I heard the glass on the 50mm... It happened to me, and had to buy it again!! Great pics and video as always Frederik!!
Hi Frederik, I've been loosing my photo inspiration in these last time during the quarantine, and now I've watch tons of your videos and I can't wait to go out and take pictures. THANK YOU AMIGO!
It's so cool how you just talk to the people. I would never dare to ask strangers. I mean, even if I just take photos of the surroundings, people are offended because they think I photograph them.
Man, I really liked this one. I love how you re-posed the guy at 2:30 to make sure he's in good light. It's probably my favorite of this series, even though the other images are by no means less beautiful. You have a great eye for compositions. I made a "Street Photography at Night" Video too, recently, in Barcelona using the 56mm f1.2. But it turned out completely different than yours. After seeing your work I really feel like interacting a lot more with people when doing street photography. Cheers!
Thanks to you I was able to start approaching people on the street for photos (I even stole your line) - your content is fantastic, can't wait for the next one!
Great job as usual! I should forward people to you as an example of a highly skilled and respectable street photographer. I use lens filters most of the time unless I'm making a test video. It's easier than messing with lens caps and has saved me a few times as well over the years.
Great video, as usual, Frederick. Could please do another video on smartphone street photography when you have a chance? I'd like to see what kind of pictures you come up with.
Was just wondering today when you would release a new video. Great one man! Going to Mexico in April and plan to do a street POV video with my new X100V!
After you edit and develop the photo's do you share them with the people you took photos of or are they just one offs and you never see them again? All of these photos are spectacular and beautiful. Especially the candid ones.
Photo con « Luce » ? Is awesome Really need to have this type oh lens in 1 or 2.8 for concert photography or being able to do this type of photo You are one of the best photographer on UA-cam 100% sure 👌🏼
Awesome video ! Liked your interactions with the people ;) I like your style, very nice. Your pictures are always in focus even when the ones you took quickly. how do keep the focus when you shoot? Can you give me tips? I’m guessing it has to do with your posture and your experience. Thank you
Another good one. I used to ask, "Con permiso?" Then I'd show the camera. Most of the time it was a yes. And the nightlife, comida de la calle with the crowds standing around, with light, and the happy faces inhaling those wonderful street tacos. Do not eat the huarachis. You'll shit over a bill board then next day. LOL

Thanks Edward! Yea it’s more fun for everything this way I think :)
2:58 love this guy's reaction. You come across as such a nice guy Fred and you don't shove subscribing down our throats either which is a nice change.
Thx man!
Exactly my thoughts, we need to protect that man’s smile.
9:23 I love how you caught his sincere smile after having his photo taken!
You are so respectful and people in Mexico are so kind and hospitable , thx for such good content
I cant help but smile while watching you interact with people. Plus you have some of the best street photos I've seen on youtube. Instant sub

Haha thanks Heath! Appreciate it!
I felt honest joy watching this. How do I know? I was laughing out loud! Great stuff! Thanks for the tips and for the photos most of all.
You gotta love that 35mm 1.4,sharp,close focus distance, perfect colors, specialy with classic chrome.
Since 2016,99% of the time its on my xt1 📷
Outstanding shots as always. If I only lived in such a characterful city it would make my night shots look interesting. Fuji do make their lenses robust..... fortunately for you. Keep up the good work; I am learning so much.
Man, the people of Mexico are so friendly
I love how you ask for permission. I am going to try that. I absolutely hate getting the “look” because their glare is almost unbearable!
The woman looking up on the stairs and the taxi driver at the end were my favorites 👌 great job, mate!
The photo of the guy welding was AMAZING!

Great to hear Ales!
I wondered for a long time whether to buy Fujifilm or Sony, thanks to what you do, I already know that Fujifilm will be a good choice. Thank you!

Me encanta ver a mi gente. Nací y crecí en el DF. Ahora estoy muy lejos. Me encanta conectarme a mi ciudad con tus videos.
Very good, nice easy style, chilled, relaxed, great way with folks on the street. Well put together and most watchable.
I love not only your photographical style but your interaction with your subjects! Excellent video!

So dope, great shots... But my social anxiety was spiking just watching the video lol
Hahah
Atrévete... sólo pide permiso y no pasa nada malo.
@@franciscotomashernandez
Me pasa todo lo contrario, cuando pido permiso me hacen más el feo
I felt the same
Great Tips Frederik! Me and my Fujifilm XT3 will be using these tips when I go shoot at night this weekend. Thank you!

4:53 - Put it on Craigslist and say it was only used once.
Creo que morí y resucite con los ruidos de vidrios del 56mm.
Buen video!
Wonderful pictures! You are very talented and this is " the real deal" street photography. Enhorabuena por tu español y saludos desde Mallorca!

Omg‚ the guy with the long hair in the bus warmed my heart! So many great shots ❤️‚ Mexicans are such lovely people.
It shows how friendly Mexicans are
Rarely angry, mostly friendly, or afraid (on some of his video)
Great video, as usual, Frederick. Could please do another video on smartphone street photography when you have a chance? I'd like to see what kind of pictures you come up with.
I love your pictures and your videos and I really like how friendly you are with the people.

Great video and tips. Straight to the point, no bs. Subbed.
haha lady with dagger eye on the stair is gold
Love watching your videos! Do you use automatic or manual focus when shooting street photography?
Great video as allways. Your videos har inspired me to want to go to Mexico city. Is it safe in general or do you avoid certain areas?
Yeah is generally safe! I’ll make a video about the areas soon!
Frederik Trovatten yes, please do that. I have never been to Mexico so that would be appreciated. Thaks for your answer.
Lasse Hultberg Vamos a México para fotografar el gente 🇩🇰 -> 🇲🇽
Enjoyed this thanks for sharing
Thx Wally!
Awesome video ! Liked your interactions with the people ;)
I like your style, very nice. Your pictures are always in focus even when the ones you took quickly. how do keep the focus when you shoot? Can you give me tips? I’m guessing it has to do with your posture and your experience. Thank you
Thanks! I just use single point focus. Nothing special, but sometimes it’s difficult with fast aperture!
Great video! Do you use any specific metering when you do street photography, especially at night?
Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Thx!
I AM LEARNING SO MUCH FROM YOU!!!!
You're such an inspiration. Beautiful work as always

Absolutely brilliant amigo!! I love how you interact and how positively the people react to you! Keep the videos coming!!
Thanks man!
Vientos hermano! To use the 3 lenses gives a good idea of the style one should go for, perhaps the 23mm would be a nice option! Suerte bro!
Really nice video! The Mexican people seem to be really open to street photography...
