- 74 year old Winnie Lawrence pocketed more than €20,000 after making false personal injury claims but now she has gone to jail for her crimes.
Nicola speaks to Niall Donald about an investigation into an accident prone gran who slipped on a cabbage leaf and a wider gang who made more than 40 bogus claims defrauding insurance companies with a series of tumbles, crashes and falls.

3 years with 18 months suspended is NOT 2 years.... How bad is your math.... Also... A year in prison is 8 months.. She'll do 6 months at the very most

The day after my baby's due date, I went shopping for sweet goodies to take to hospital. I suddenly slipped and landed on my backside. People ran to help me up. I had stepped on some veggies. Other than a bruised ego and bum, I was okay. My bulging baby bump brought great concern. A few folk told me I must make an insurance claim. Being honest, that didn't sit well with me. Staff made a fuss and were great. I did my shopping and went home.
Was at the office for the next 2 days & Labour started the next. I like to keep busy.
Had a healthy daughter & swore "never again".
