I love san francisco. Been here since 1981. Perfect climate and diverse cross section of people. I loved going to Amoeba and spending several hours there. Their back wall of rare jazz is incredible!!
I'm surprised they haven't got looted with all the liberals dog-whistling the thieves to take over SF by dismissing criminals for thefts under a grand.
Me too! I’m sad because so many special gems of our city have closed in the last decade. More than I can name. I live in fear we will lose places like this. What is city if it’s just high rises, what is a city if it’s just the same boring restaurant or boutique over and over with slightly different wood. I hope we don’t lose this amazing place. Amoeba is the heart of SF to me
San Francisco. What a cool City! This video brings back a lot of my memories from my last visit in 2019. I sure wanna re explore this great place again one day.
Of course I loved this. I was born around the corner and up a few blocks on Stanyan Street. Know the neighborhood and store so well. Love how you captured it all. Makes me a bit homesick. ✌🏽
Thank you! I just love the Upper Haight and the character of the Victorians - especially just on the north side of the Panhandle. I'm enjoying seeing your Seattle videos - I've never been up there so it's cool to see the contrast to SF.
Thank you for this. Once upon a time I lived just off Alamo Square and worked at Escape from NY on Haight. I used to flip through the new arrivals bin on my breaks and spent at least an hour in there every week. Been almost 15 years since I've even been there, so great to see it again.
I haven’t been to San Francisco and Amoeba Records in over 15yrs, I really want to get back there. The collectible wall looks a little better than the Amoeba Hollywood store, there are a few records I would have immediately bought. Great video keep posting I’ll keep watching…☮️✌️☮️
@@collectrify I liked the old location better, it was bigger, In the new location they don,t carry to many used records like they did in the old one. I miss the old building.
Os preços dos Discos....que loucura. Cada vez mais difícil para mim. 125$ Bad Religion ? Enfim, quem sabe um dia os preços voltam a baixar ou eu fico rico, não sei qual é o mais improvável de acontecer
General Prices are always changing, store prices have to be high, and are always changing. You have to find records at the perfect time to get a good price and the perfect record

Thank you for the comment! I need to pay more attention to that jazz wall.

Thanks for the comment! 15 years is too long. Although I've got to say - the new arrival bins ain't what they used to be!
Watching this video is like taking a walk with you, felt really great. Nice, make more of these!
Hopefully the next time i visit San Fran i will get to go to amoeba. Only been to the L.A. location.

Thanks so much for the comment! Haight Street is a fascinating place for sure...
Great camera work! It was refreshing to be able to see the records and read the prices. Thank you
Thanks so much for the comment! I like to see prices, too. Sometimes I can't believe what I'm seeing.
@@collectrify Yeah, they are really expensive!
Great video!

Thanks for the comment! I've been wanting to make it back to Amoeba Hollywood - haven't seen the new location yet.
@@collectrify The new Amoeba is good but the old store was bigger and better.
