@MechanicBase not sure if I did it right. My car has no shradder valve so connected to fuel filter depressurise fuel but. Little pumped out gauge said 4 psi ?

Linked gauge up to fuel filter. Direct via pipe flexible see through. Micra K11 2002 k11 1 4cc

Will a bad fuel pressure regulator stop the fuel from running to the injectors from the fuel line

Damn... have you tried the brake light pressure switch? Any car that has a push button start needs a functional brake light switch. Just saying.
