Im happy to see some carp fishing in America, i dont have a very broad view of carp fishing over there but it seems a lot of people just really dont like carp. Im sure it varies from state to state but in comparison to how popular it is in the Uk or Europe its strange seeing carp viewed so negatively

if u've never done it, its probably too late. It will take a long time to be consistent. I want to catch walleye, but i know it will take me years to learn the spots and the right lures and what works on my lakes, and life is just too short. I already have decent expertise in Ultralight fishing, catfish and carp, and thats enough for one lifetime. Next lifetime maybe i do bass and walleye : )

    Ahoj, Nice video!
Looks like your location has tons of carps! that's pretty cool. Please keep making carp videos.
As I see there are more and more focus on the carp fishing and they do more and more marketing. I see plenty of people who is doing carp baits companies. There are more promotions, and events. I think that is why you see increase activity on your carp videos.
It is sad that overall in the US, it is considered that carp is trash fish and hunting them with bow. the worst part that they are killing 60-80 lb carps for nothing. It takes so long time 20+ years to get that size and kill them for fun. sad. I hope it will turn slowly.
In case you are in Texas, let me know, it would be great have a session with you. I am targeting big buffalos and carps.
I am fishing with feeder rods, full European style and from the bank.

I think carp are a joy in moderation, there is a stigma against them, and to be completley fair, there is one lake that has so many common carp you cant even fish anything without snagging them in the spring when the spawn near the shore, 10s of thousands. Its fun to catch them in moderation, but one of my favorite lakes is unfishable for a month out of ths year its so bad, and year round you can catch a carp every minute.

I tried a recipe for carp bait once, sent in as a letter to in Fisherman magazine I used to subscribe to. Corn meal, sugar, salt, honey, and torn up cotton balls to bind it together….the guy called it “MY Italian grandfather’s never-fail carp bait”. I made some, and went fishing where I saw some European guys using surf rods to catch big carp in a lake near Phoenix, AZ. I cast in my line, and did not leave the bail open as I wiped off my hands for a few seconds with my rod leaned against the wall. I swear, it took less than 10 seconds for my new rod and reel to go airborne into the lake, lost forever. Grandpa’s carp bait worked instantly
