- Who will be the 6 characters included in Smash Ultimate's Fighter Pass 2? In this video I list several ideas both 3rd party and 1st party, and at the end of the video I pick 6 characters from those ideas as my official predictions for the final 6 Smash DLC fighters.

@@-cartythecart-4627 I don't like the argument for Cinderace not getting in because of it's typing, but I do think that the other starters would be significantly more unique. Rillaboom will some of sound-based/Area of Effect specials and Inteleon being built around being a sniper. Way more unique.
That's even if you think going for a starter is the right direction to go with this, which I do not. I'd prefer something like SirFetch'd tbh.

My pick for a gen 8 pokemon would be Obstagoon.
It was one if the more heavily promoted pokemon that wasn't a starter or legendary. It could have some really cool moveset potential.
It also helps mend the gen 3 gap. While Obstagoon is gen 8, it is evolved from the Galarian form of a gen 3 pokemon that is very well known.
My pick for a Gen 8 mon would be Urshifu or a PLA Pokémon
Crash is without a doubt the fighter with the highest chance of getting in rn. Would love to seem him in. Also, Monster Hunter. Not only is the franchise bigger than ever, but there's a Monster Hunter game in development for Switch too. Otherwise I don't have a clue and I'm tired of speculating all over again. With that being said, here are my other most wanted characters:

Have you all forgotten about Spyro the dragon which is another yet very beloved icon/platform character, with many different and unique moves and elemental abilities he can use with either his dragonfly sparx or the rest of his friends as like a duck hunt duo kinda vibe

Pretty cool list. The only things I would note are Geralt is ineligible because he first appeared in a book (The Witcher was a book series long before a game series).
Also, I'm 100% sure they're adding in a Gen 8 Pokemon to advertise the Pokemon DLC, just like Byleth to advertise Fire Emblem.

But honestly. FE 3H has a stage and music, Mario Odyssey, Breath of the wild, all of those has a stage and music. While pokemon SwSh doesn't. A Pokemon is inevitable with the DLC coming to SwSh. It lines up perfectly. And a new grass type pokemon was revealed 2 days ago, Zarude.
2 fire. 2 water. And now 2 grass if they add Zarude.

Despite me not being a fan of this franchise, I'm surprised everyone is forgetting a character from Overwatch certainly has a good chance too - Nintendo and Blizzzard have cosied up to each other in recent years, and Overwatch 2 is also confirmed to be releasing on Switch in the near future.
Also, only thing I'm 100% sure of is they'll add in a Gen 8 Pokemon to advertise the Pokemon DLC, which might piss people off.

I'd definitely want to see Tails. He's still possible imo. Not likely, but possible. Sonic has a lot going on right now. He has a movie, a potential remake, his upcoming 30th anniversary game.
It'd make a lot of sense for Nintendo to have chosen a Sonic character.

Spirits replaced trophies,we got Lucas and Mewtwo in SSB4 when they had trophies already,Spirits just like trophies do NOT deconfirm fighters & anyone who says they do is just looking for reasons to say certain characters won’t make it in and that their choice should be in instead (Also spirits can be edited on the name and fights with the spirit) that being said I think Geno is gonna be in pass two almost 100% at this point

Shantae or Reimu should be the indie representative. They both have a longer legacy compared to other indie games. Shantae has been around for 18 years and Reimu has been around for 24 years. Shantae represents western indies and Reimu would represent eastern indies

Tbh if we did get a Bethesda character I'd want it to be the Dragonborn. Outside of personal bias, Skyrim is one of the most recognizable games and being portable was shown as a selling point when the Switch was just coming out. In terms of uniqueness, he'd be a ground based character with good tools for fighting enemies in the air given that he fights dragons along with shouts acting as mid-range projectiles that can Spike, push opponents away, or even have something similar to Hero where a Special can give you a menu with multiple shouts, plus most official art shows him with a sword, shield, and dagger so he'd have plenty of options for normals
the assist trophy & playable in same game can easily be done
just have there be a line of code, that disables the assist trophy when the character is fighting
good call on the Xenoblade character! I do think the next two will be Crash Bandicoot and...Monster Hunter.
If they were to put in more Pokemon, they just added Incineroar who is a fire type...would be nice to get a random ground/rock/ghost type or something like that.

Kind of surprised no one seems to think Scorpion from MK has a chance. Mortal Kombat is a iconic game series, it is decently well known in Japan, we already have Street Fighter reps, and MK 11 is on switch.
The only characters on my wishlist is Jibanyan, the knight from hollow knight, and the boss from just shapes and beats. That last one was a stretch, but I can dream-

They don't actually realize he was the most requested character to appear in a game of all time - and banjo, k rool, and ridley, even Isabelle, were pretty demanded. And I know there will be people who claim Doom Guy and Travis are too violent, but remember that both Bayonetta and Snake are in the game; Bayonetta in particular being from an extremely violent series. So I see no reason either couldn't make it in. I'd also like to throw in that if Sora were to make it in my only fear would be with his music. Square is pretty well known for asking for a lot of money when it comes to licensing their music, which is why Cloud and Hero's music picks are pretty lacking.
i hope so much that Kiriyu will be inclued even though that is very unlikely when there is so much better businesswise pick available
Bayo isn't really that violent. I mean yeah, she can summon a guillotine and chop angles in half, but her overall fighting style isn't violent since she plays like a brawler.
Doom guy most of his movesets is shooting demons in the face, grab their head, rip them apart and crash their skull. Which is far way more violent than just stylessly punching and kicking Angels and Demons in the face.

Honestly Ring Fit Trainer would be such a good pick. I’d also go with Waluigi, Crash/Spyro , a new Zelda character, Monster Hunter and Sora. Master chief, Doom guy, Steve and 2B would also be great picks, but imo are more unlikely.

My predictions:
*Really probable additions*
-Monster Hunter guy for the same things you mentioned
-A pokémon from gen 8, more likely Rillaboom, but also they could add Obstagoon, Toxicitry, Grimmsnarl or even the new legendary Zarude
-Crash Bandicoot: as you said he's an important gaming story icon, and would be really a good choice since Crash remakes are playable on switch. It would be crazy if they didn't add him and gave space to a shitty new fire emblem character
-Steve: he would really be an unique new character, original for the roster and a great addition due to Minecraft popularity and longevity. It would be a strong move for both Nintendo and Microsoft to add him. And they could really have fun with skins, giving him for example a zombie or a villager skin.
*Less probable additions*
-Rayman: he's another gaming icon, cartoonish and a good addition. Ubisoft didn't make a new rayman game since 2013 and it's possible that in the next couple of years they will make a new game, making him a good addition also in a marketing point of view
-Geno: he's a fan favourite and it was requested since Brawl. Sakurai also wanted him into Brawl and now that Square Enix and NIntendo are in a good relationship him being added is not a dream anymore. And they could also add the virtual console to the switch, so that fans can play Super Mario RPG, or even remake Super Mario RPG (that's really unlikely)

I’d like for them to add the concept of Pokemon evolution into smash, like add any first stage Pokemon so for an obvious pick, Rowlet, and make it evolve with every kill, when it dies it resets

I still can't believe the utter absence of puzzle game representatives despite a 75 character roster. Phoenix Wright or Prof. Layton would be an obvious fix to that hole. In terms of which, I'd love Wright more because I grew up with his games, but I would not be disappointed in Layton considering his popularity. In terms of marketing, both of these series have remakes for the switch, and any sort of fighter representation would benefit either franchise. Platformers and 2D Fighters and RPGs have already been represented to death, so let's give this genre of games a chance for once.

I've always wanted Spyro. I would be mad if Crash got in and Spyro didn't. If Spyro got in without Crash, It would be weird even though I've always wanted Spyro. I feel like one can't be in without the other, so I wish they would add them both. I mean, they are both perfect for the game, and I don't understand why they haven't been added already.
