Just for anybody looking to buy. Here's a quick review. It's a great unit for the price. Don't hesitate after reading below. It fits on my scope nicely, a little bulky but not heavy. Awkward to use if you're moving around because it eliminates any ability to use the stock due to added length. But I think it's a fantastic entry into IR scopes.
The main issue is that they state 100-200 m max illumination for the LED IR but it's illumination is dim at 100 m unless it's a very reflective material like a shooting target. At 150 m, I might as well use moonlight. So, open paddock or natural forest, the scope isn't really useable beyond 75 m for hunting. You can increase IR brightness but it chews through the batteries.
Edit: I use it on a 6-16x50 scope.
I would recommend if you're hunting natural environments and paddocks, get the laser IR model if you're shooting over 50 m with higher mag scopes. I heard the laser one can be too bright (still waiting for my replacement), so the LED IR may be easier on the eyes if you're shooting 10-40 m range, in barns or anything where there's a contrasted backstop.
Next time they should: include an option to turn off the on-screen text and an option to turn off the IR LED altogether when using another IR torch.
is there 1x magnification? hows the latency for monocular usage?
@@wsafd I received my IR laser model and it seems to have different display software. Both had option for 1x setting but there definitely is a natural magnification even at 1x which has shrunk my FOV significantly. I would say my 6x is more like 8x which is more annoying than I thought it would be.
Yes sometimes I use it for monocular use. It's quite handy in that aspect for a quick scan before using a flashlight. There is slight latency. I think it's fine for varmint ranges, but def needs consideration when taking a shot.
Bad things for monocular use: the resolution isn't great. It's bulky, not a pocket unit for sure. The sensor will be exposed without a scope. Good for night wildlife spotting with its recorder. And you can zoom in and out quickly. Batts lasts about 40-60 mins.
I forgot to mention I use a 6-16x50 scope which definitely needed the laser model at higher zooms. It has the ability to turn off laser and 2 power levels. It's almost too bright at 30-50m at 6x but I just widen the beam with its little adjustable lens diffuser and it's OK. I def think it's better suited for sitting in a stand with everything set for the distance and target you want to shoot rather than hunting on the move. It's just too fiddly and the buttons make an audible click. I've had no problems with any animal detecting the IR at all.
Overall, it's a great intro for a small calibre rifle. But experienced hunters may get frustrated with it quickly if they are on the move.

I received my Laser IR version and it has updated display software. Both had 1x mag option but it's still zoomed. My 6-16x50mm scope is now about 8x, which is a bit annoying for loss of FOV.
I sometimes use it as a monocular which is great for a quick scan if you're spotlight shooting but it's bulky and battery life is also a factor. The resolution isn't great if you're using the onboard zoom too. I haven't had any animals detect the IR at all but the buttons are noisy.
I forgot to mention the scope I was using, and found the LED IR just not strong enough on anything past 10x at 50m+ on grassy paddocks. The laser is much, much brighter. If shooting amongst trees, almost blinding but the laser can be diffused with the adjustable lens and also has two power functions or turned off.
The biggest gripe is that the display icons are so bright (battery level display etc) that it ruins my night vision. The only option is to turn down the brightness on the whole display.
In the end, still a great entry level IR scope but really suited for shooting on a stand, with everything pre-adjusted rather than on the move.
the tan camo one would match up with my AR/silencer combo. we just did a review on a predator IR light.
Just got this item delivered today. So far, so good. IR seems great, at an affordable price. I'd rather buy this than spent several hundreds of dollars on a branded item which also features and performs the same. I will update once I zeroed this unit.

I have one of these attached to the red dot, it looks really good. But I have a question, I activated Crosshair and it appears when I'm recording, but it doesn't appear when I watch the final video. Is there a way to make it appear or does it not appear in the final recorded video?
