I have the same bike (1999 TE610) Seems there are a lot of subtle changes over the years so finding someone with the exact same year is pretty cool. I'm currently trying to get mine running after a few years sitting do to health problems. I cleaned the carb up but haven't gotten it to start up yet. Fuel line routing is a nightmare but I think the diagram you showed helps to simplify things. Also, the inlet on my carb is facing straight down so I just run the piece of line from the bottom nipple on the petcock in a U shape and back up into the carb. My bike has a Baja light kit and is tagged for street in California. I'll probably sell it after I get it running.
Your giving me some hope. I just bought a 2003 TE 610. Bad gas and has been sitting for years. Working on the carb now. At least mine is electric start.
Any chance you remember what the baseline for the idle screw was? I think mixture was 1 7/8. I just bought a brand new carb for my TE410 (it was super cheap ***sarcasm***) and I can’t get mine to start. It’s got all of the exact same jets as it would have come from Husqvarna so I’m sort of at a loss.
hey guys sorry for the delay in response, i wanted to grab my owners manual to verify. so i have the Dell'Orto PHM 40MS and according to the book it says Idle mixture adjusting screw was 1+1/2 out. which is were mine is now and it works great. IF you continue to have problems starting it i'd check points and valve clearances and possible the controller. hope that helps some, good luck!

No worries. I think I might actually have a problem with my petcock. I have a different one, just haven’t had time to get it swapped out yet. Maybe this weekend I’ll try again. Thanks!
What was the idle screw adjusted to when you had it running?? I am doing this myself on a 610 96 and i have a surveillance video of me for 40 minutes straight trying to kickstart it. I almost died im sure. Its in pieces now awaiting new valves for intake but what did you adjust it to?? Thank you You can also see my bike on my channel. I just finished painting it. I am sure you will love it.

Oh nice! Yeah really wish this one had electric start!
Really nice bro. I regret selling my TE 610 (700cc) one... Bigger piston and had 65 hp was insane, 98 modell :)
Thanks! Definitely love these bikes. Yours sounded like a beast!
@@speedsharkgarage1787 Yeah it was bro

Nice one sharing your mistakes so maybe we don't have to make them! 👌😎
Thanks! We make a lot!
