To clear up any confusion about this anime, its all part of a bigger story. In order to fully understand whats going on here, you need to listen to all the songs, read the manga, read the novels, THEN watch the anime. I get it if you think that its a little annoying and stupid to have to do so much, but the anime probably wasn't meant to be watched by any random person. Its actually the ending to a big story.
I honestly understand the whole story even just with the anime only ,it's very similar to bakemonogatari atleast the first season with the vibes , character designs and constant crazy angles (for bakemonogatari those never ending text that i always have to paused to try and read even though a lot of them doesn't really mean anything )and the first season also had their stories kinda based around on animals and supernatural of some sort and mekaku city actors kinda had them as well ,daze was an awesome opening really made the anime really cool and i guess give me some hint thats why maybe i didn't get lost on what's happening in the series .
@@chasse-nigb3r well both were made by Studio Shaft, and both directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, so it only makes sense that the direction and framing of scenes feels similar. After reading the manga everything makes so much sense like: like why Ayano tells hibiya don't forget me cuz they met in anothor timeline/route. They way hyori and hibiya are connected. Why Shintaro posses one of the snakes when he wasn't in accident and didn't lose a loved one and Mary resetting abilities. The whole evil snake backstory. I don't understand why everyone is so confused with this anime. It was confusing in the beginning but I began to understand it later on. It's really not confusing at all when you begin to understand it lol
I'm pretty sure they just got to ep 5 and said they were done because it was trippy. It didn't really rely on source material. And the only thing I found they needed to look more in was how Ene got her body back and the fact Konoha dosent have a snake. That's really it though.
It's bc the route the anime took was different than the usual route, but it seemed like a normal route at first, so when ep 5 happened, things got weird. Konoha got hit with a truck trying to save Heebs and Hiyori, even though Hiyori should've been in the Kagerou world if the plot of Kagerou Daze already ensued by then. This series has a LOOOOOOOOOOT of events and characters that the viewers have to piece together, and the anime adds some new things that fans of the original didn't see coming. And if you're gonna say that the source material is irrelevant for judging the anime, this series is an exception. The differences in the anime's route have to be compared to how the routes in the source material played out to better understand how a route can get to a Happy End vs a Bad End. So when something different happens in the anime, it's compared to what we know from its other media and, as a result, gets pretty damn confusing when we try to piece EVERYTHIHG we know about this already complicated series to a new route that has appeared in the form of this anime. Hope that explains it well enough...
People do love saying that this anime is bad without seeing "source material", which is something I couldn't disagree with more if I tried. Now, thing is there isn't really a real source material for this show, because all 3 are equally canon, and while Anime technically takes place last it really does not matter which you start with. Be it MV's Manga or Anime you will have different story every time, but this is the point of this series. The reason why I disagree so hard with people saying Anime is bad if you do not know what the series is about already, is pretty simple the best part is figuring it out. And for that purpose Anime is by far the most satisfying when you understand it. Then you can feel free to see other timelines which will give you a looot more details, which is great because when you know the "mystery" details are what you are interested with, and on the same time you can still enjoy them because even though they take place at exactly same time they ARE different timelines. Lost Time Memories in Anime version while focuses on Anime timeline, it does show manga panels, and the opening shot of MV's just to remind people : They ALL happened. That said I am very worried about the upcoming Reloaded series, Anime was supposed to be the ending of this story, so chances are this one is going to be absolutely terrible and forced. (Of course it can also just take place in one of the timelines before Anime, but I do not think this is going to be the case)

Christina Hathaway I do know where it comes from, but the adaptation doesn't do original material justice, It doesn't stand on its own, which is what bugs me. (like that one episode where it flashbacks to Ayano's childhood. Man, that 3D animation).

why would you want a dub instead of the original voices lol.
because dubs are fun and make me enjoy a great show without looking at the bottom reading the text
It’s only confusing if you haven’t seen the other routes!! It’s just another route in the grand scheme of kageproooo!!!
Its not just another route. Its the happy ending/final route/loop.
