Watching these videos feels similar to those fan made videos of "Lore Accurate Master Chief" type things. This is what I internally imagine when thinking of Warhammer fantasy stories
For those who are interested. This is a build I was inspired by a unit in table top Warhammer fantasy. It's a mountain rangers that uses 2 handed axes and throwing axes. If you're curious how it works in vermintide, my thought on the build is that it balances infantry/special killing with last stand. Chuck your axes, barkskin, killing frenzy, last stand, exuberance, drunken brawler, fight under your ulti for even more attack speed w/vapours. In concept all things added, 54-84% damage reduction boost, 25-65% power boost, 9-37% attack speed boost (taken from traits/skills total proc, so 2/5 second bursts of dps assuming your 3 drinks in with drunken). You should get plenty of temp health from melee kills and Exhilarating Vapours. This is a bardin ranger melee meme build and it works a lil different from the video here.
In table top is there also a slayer unit or lord that uses throwing axes?i just want a justifivation to include throwing axes in slayer build XD, role play and all.
@@karlfranz5229 yes! Absolutely, also a classic throwback to slayers from Age of Reckoning. It’s the only real ranged weapon slayers use. Check out the goblin hewer for maximum axe chucking. Slayers even use black powder at times!
Finally the throwing axes and ales are getting the attention they deserve. My go to build is throwing axes, GH, exuberance, ales, and healing mist. Sometimes I use last resort depending on what my buddies play. Last resort has an interesting interaction with the last axe you throw where you get the damage buff from last resort on the last axe. The axe and shield can be very nice on melee ranger too. I swap between GH and axe and shield depending in what's needed.
I really appreciate your positioning through your videos. I've learned a lot from watching you kite and manage hordes so well! Also, holy throwing axes.. Keep up the good work!
"Local dawi settles a grudge made against raki who stole his drinking-buddy's home single-handedly, on other news local sigmarite literally too faithful to die"
Kinda feel like a couple of skills are off in the build. - Last Resort is almost never used with throwing axes, because you have axes all the time. They synergise much better with Master of Improvisation - you can even throw the axes at the wall to charge your career skill by 2 seconds each time an axe 'reloads'. So you get the smoke bomb all the time. And with the final talent you become a monster of temporary health output. - You could make an argument for Exuberance as well with this build: it's not too hard to hit headshots with the axes at close range to give you +30% damage resistance. And having that all the time from behind is nice. But the move speed is also good - Not too sure about the emphasis on block cost reduction - it seems to me that in combat with the 2H axe you'll be shoving most of the time to get back into the heavy attack side sweeps. Increased crit chance with swift slaying and +5% attack speed as usual is just so good. In total you can have +9%, +8% +5% = +21% attack speed. Then with a crit you go to insane levels of +41% attack speed with this monster weapon. That extra crit chance is super important to get into that range of attack speed imo. - Love the conservative shooter on the axes. Infinite axes! - Think the power vs. infantry and vs. skaven isn't the best all-comer combo on the axes. Power vs. berserkers and chaos maybe? vs. monsters? Crit chance?

Hard to play like this on PlayStation Why did you choose Last Resort talent? You never used it! Could of used the 5% IAS with Foe Feller. Lol regardless you didn’t need it. Great play through
Good as Last Resort is, how you were playing there was little to no value, since you couldn't risk having no throwing axes in a True Solo. The other talents would have been better. Improvisation especially since you get -2 seconds of cooldown per axe thrown. It's like a free Resourceful Sharpshooter.
If you don't mind me asking, why take last resort? Generally you used the throwing axes to take care of most elites and bosses and never ran out of ammo. I can see foe-feller being not so beneficial for 2h axe. But wouldn't the improvisation be pretty good since you reload the axes a lot and it buffs your ranged when you ult?
Simply because Solo needs to be handled all by himself, he should carry ammunition as insurance. To deal with unexpected situations. Of course, the ideal is different.
