Alright, so I got Piston It Away & Spaced Out mixed up... my bad. Anyways, just understand that those two levels were the hardest in my opinion. I always confuse those two :P
Still haven't had time to play Crash 2 and 3 in N-Sane Trilogy (even though I played them back on the PS1 days). I had a great time getting platinum in Crash 1 (even though I have to admit it was really infuriating sometimes, mostly because I was aiming for platinum relics first, but then I realized you only need gold relics for the platinum trophy).
In Bee-having, the time box stuck behind the nitros (life crate in normal mode) is free - hit the nitro switch crate at the end and you'll get it. While in the original versions, the nitro switch crate simply played an explosion sound and deleted the nitros, in the N. Sane Trilogy, the switch actually detonates the nitros, killing any enemies and breaking any crates in the blast radius.
I got all platinum relics except for 8. 2 of them are from Crash 2, which is #1 & #2 on your list. For me, it's platinum or nothing and this very painful for me. For Hangin' Out, instead of jumping over those crates with the TNTs, you can just slide under them for more time, but make sure you stay close to the right.
When this game first came out, the hype was unreal. This game came out at a perfect time. Everybody was on summer break, some people didn't have jobs to worry about. This was just an all around nostalgia trip. I would love the relive something like this again. I have never seen the gaming community more hyped about a game ever. Hopefully Spyro will get the Crash treatment and we can all just take in the hype and get back on the nostalgia train. Hopefully E3 will be the year... I expect great things.
Ruination I didn’t find too bad since you can also just spin the logs if you don’t have masks In Cold Hard Crash I actually recommend ignoring the death path, you still have a decent amount of time to finish and it’s less of a headache

A top ten list video for Crash Bandicoot! :D But why the time trials of the 2nd game and not the 1st? :/ 0:48 - Maybe it's just me then since everyone seems to refuse getting platinums for these trials. 0:56 - What about slide/spin/jump? ;) 1:07 - Maybe a few times on different levels but I don't think this one. 1:29 - Yeah I never did bother with spinning that crate so I never knew that. :/ 1:37 - In the original version you could walk along the sides of the pits to avoid them but now ... 2:07 - But there's less pits in this level then in the last one. 2:30 - I forgot that R1 can be used to slide, I always stuck with the circle button! :D 3:28 - Actually if the crate with Aku Aku gets destroyed by spinning an enemy towards it from a distance then he'll automatically be by your side. 3:51 - It's all in instinct! ;) 4:06 - And the moving pillars! 4:10 - So that's Bear It, Bear Down and Totally Bear. 5:10 - Surprisingly enough I've never found the jet-pack levels to be that hard or annoying to do, in fact I've actually taken a liking to them in this version. :) 5:18 - I was used to the controls ... for some reason. 6:11 - Not just that but if you're on the special ground then you'll end up under there instead of spinning him away and that'll just slow you down. 6:31 - It was a tough crate but I somehow managed to break it. 6:49 - Really? I had no trouble with that one. :/ 6:58 - It has. :P 7:12 - Hehe that does sound genuine! XD 7:28 - They're called proton scrubbers. ;) 8:16 - That's the enemies, taking damage from them bounces Crash in mid air and because you're sliding at the same time, using the same button for that will make you body slam and slow you down. 8:49 - Too true! :P 9:16 - The platforms to transport you also need to be questioned since you can't progress until you're centered. 9:42 - It's either that or avoid the "!" crate and slide/spin/jump towards that penguin when he's spinning in order to take damage with an Aku Aku and to bounce in mid air, the only problem with that is that he isn't anywhere to be seen on screen and so you have to just get there and hope that he's spinning. 10:23 - I'd have put this at number one but go on. 11:08 - All the more reason for me to not like this level, also this looks more like Piston It Away then Spaced Out, is this really the level? 11:18 - That one is close! Also I'm pretty sure you must've mixed the level names up. :/ 12:26 - Not just the tentacles but even the Nitros are terrible! The bounce and are so unpredictable at it that you'll end up dying because of it. :P 12:47 - Also at some point they managed to push me towards a Nitro and it exploded but I DIDN'T DIE! Did that by any chance happen to you at some point? 13:09 - Well I agree on the level structures but I'm pretty sure you were talking about Piston It Away and Spaced Out in the opposite order. :/ 13:15 - And as always; we are all happy to watch. :)
Crash 2 time trials felt harder OVERALL, that's why I decided Crash 2. Crash 1 does have painful time trails TRUST ME O_O. Yeah I did get Piston and Spaced mixed up oops, I always confuse them they're too similar.
Hahahaha just did Spaced Out. Spent like 20 minutos doing it, and then I thought: “wow, finally... maybe I’ll get the gold relic at least”. Actualy barely got a saphire. Inbelievable how difficult this triolgy is
So many ppl have issues with Hanging Out. Not sure why, I found it to be easier than the Eel Deal and Sewer or Later. Cold Hard Crash, on the other hand... That was tough! I was stupid though and I didn't think to go the death route, but I managed to get plat going the normal way :)
I guess all crash 2 time trials are harder comparing to the 1st crash bandcioot i completely agree with your list but i got lot of trouble in sewer or later which doesnt exist in your list yeah that might sound awkward because you may say this is easy all you gotta do pick up 3 masks and keep moving forward with invinsibility but timing is pretty tight 34 seconds like who had trouble with this lvl like me
So far for me, Generator Room is the hardest. Even harder than Stormy Ascent and both Bridge levels. Still manged to get platinums on all three. But Generator Room was the hardest. Simply because of the dwell time on those last two moving platforms!
Is the N'sane trilogy harder than the older versions of the game? I'm just wondering since I know a lot of people compare the N'sane trilogy to Dark Souls. But not the original 3 (I haven't played N'sane trilogy yet).
Some of the controls do make it a bit harder. Let's say you're on the very edge of a platform, you will slip. In the original, you completely remained flat. The jump, especially Crash 1 feels harder, you can even look up the comparison video.
The hardest level for me (time trial - platinum) in the whole 3 games after stormy ascent was cold hard crash -_- (actually earning the plat relic (I mean timing) in stormy ascent isn't very difficult - the only difficult thing for that is the level itself!) but cold hard crash...oh man I hate that crap :D piston it away was hard too but it was kinda fun, you know. But about the cold hard crash, in my first tries I was about to throw the controller away :D
For the Platinum Relics I had the most trouble with Piston it Away/Spaced Out just because of the enemies and obstacles and Hangin' Out because of the very tight Platinum Time! It took me a very long time. Crash Bandicoot 2 in general had the hardest Platinum Relics for me. Never again! :)
Way late to the party but just finished all platinum on Crash 2, you keep saying about luck, there is no luck for anything, after you do one restart the level is consistent and will always be the same as long as your times are. The "Glitched high jump" is your best friend, learn how to do it. In Cold Hard Crash don't waste time killing the hedgehog thing and hitting the ! Box to generate the stairs, just jump the gap with a glitched high jump. No luck, just repetition and practice.
You should make a tutorial real honest! This was only a top 10 but helped me a lot! I was struggling with The Pits but seriously you helped me a lot in it! The fact that you explain a lot of things are so much more helpful than those who upload a 40min video about them rocking everything It seems so easy yet so difficult when i try it With explaining its so much more easier I hope you consider this and make a crash time series where you explain all i would totally appreciate it! Thank you tho for a lot help!
Hardest ones in this game to plat imo are the snow levels just because of the Friggin' bronken ass hit boxes of pretty much everything that can kill you. Is so bad. My favs were the sewer ones. Btw, "Hanging out: U have no room for mistake". HA, you clearly haven't tried the lab. And stop saying "if you're lucky", this speedruns have everything but luck in them. Great vid.
10= Crash Crush ( level 9), because i Simply take too much for a gold relic... Too many bombs and ravines!! 9= Sewer or Later (level 12).. because you have to protect aku for earn the 3 masks and run faster, and you have to be sure ti have at least 2 to pass the super-speedy fans! 8= Cold Hard Crash (level 18) it's not so hard because i take the Original route...but i hate the first part of the level :the yellow crapes at the beginning, the trunks that crush you because they are not synchronized...and THE PENGUINS! i hate PENGUINS in this level, for god! When they spin they are invincible..but the ironic thing is that they start to spin as You are closer to them...so you die! 7= Bear Down (level 13)... Simply that level earn a lot of "bad words" because the guys with the irons crapes are hateful! And i prefer to avoid speaking about "killer whale"...😔😑 6= pack Attack (level 24) because i die too much burned at the first "incandescent pole"... Or also at the first Electric cable.. let's forget..! 5=ruination (level 19) Simply the slippery platform are the "best" ending for a HATEFUL LEVEL. Everything in this level is Bast**d! The fire (not One, but 2 fires...), The enemies close to TNT crapes... The ravines... And last but not least...when you surpassed also slippery platform, there is that orribile gorilla that kill you when You are at 4 meters to the goal! 4=Hangin' Out (level 16)ok we agree on the position... The WHOLE level is stressful. The flamethrower-man, the "instant" enemies... The part with you walk on the grid in the air... Too many trials... 3=Spaced Out (level 21) Just few Word, ad we agree on the position. The Piston, the enemies too closer to this piston... And the Electric enemies that change their arms... And that kill me (and you) TOO MUCH F**KING TIME, because the "hitbox" with this enemies is Ugly! 2=Totally Bear (level 26)my last Gold relic, and then the Platinum Trophy. But how many times i die! Jump, run, run, Jump, Jump, run, not run, Jump,Jump, not run, Jump, run.... A CRAZY LEVEL. 1=Piston It Away (level 25) YES. I AGREE WITH YOU, the king of the Bast**d, the level that take more time to get a relic (and the first time was Just BLUE!!). In the world, there are enough bad Word to use for pass this Poop. Every single enemies is a desperation...
GAREN... How many bad Memory in my mind related to time trial. 😂😂🤣😒🙄🙄🙄 Hanging Out... It's a bastar* level, for god! 😓 That awful enemies with spikes! SPACED OUT, SON OF A QUARK! (🤣) i have died Soooooo many times. I understand you perfectly 😔🙄 PISTON IT AWAY... i want to forget... I Need to forget, the BILLIONS of time i died for the stupid Electric enemies... But After BILLIONS of Tries, i died for the stupid guy with the shield. I hate in the Deep of my Heart this trime trial level. The Polar level are harder than a 7th Place... You have to Be very able to press Circle Just After a Jump to run again...or maybe don't press any button, because you Can die ... Oh god... Totally bear is the level where i take my last gold relic...so... A lot of patience and a lot of angry moments.... Thanks for share this moment of angry with us... Personally I thought gold was too easy so I went for the platinum relics instead. I've got all 84 platinum relics.... Casuals thinking Crash is hard :p
Hey man ik I'm kinda super late with this but thanks I just got the platinum for crash 2, back then I didn't feel like dealing with the stress. But one day I said oh what the heck, I love crash too much and the past few days I was grinding time trials. Honestly I found piston it away easier than spaced out, I died a lot on it though mostly due to pitfalls and me panicking...good stuff, great video.

Slide spin jump over the gap instead of activating the ! block in cold hard crash. Tricky but worth it
About those time crates between nitro crates - There is no need to go for them because they get broken when you activate Nitro switch.

6= pack Attack (level 24) because i die too much burned at the first "incandescent pole"... Or also at the first Electric cable.. let's forget..!
5=ruination (level 19) Simply the slippery platform are the "best" ending for a HATEFUL LEVEL.
Everything in this level is Bast**d! The fire (not One, but 2 fires...), The enemies close to TNT crapes... The ravines...
And last but not least...when you surpassed also slippery platform, there is that orribile gorilla that kill you when You are at 4 meters to the goal!
4=Hangin' Out (level 16)ok we agree on the position... The WHOLE level is stressful.
The flamethrower-man, the "instant" enemies... The part with you walk on the grid in the air...
Too many trials...
3=Spaced Out (level 21) Just few Word, ad we agree on the position.
The Piston, the enemies too closer to this piston... And the Electric enemies that change their arms... And that kill me (and you) TOO MUCH F**KING TIME, because the "hitbox" with this enemies is Ugly!
2=Totally Bear (level 26)my last Gold relic, and then the Platinum Trophy. But how many times i die!
Jump, run, run, Jump, Jump, run, not run, Jump,Jump, not run, Jump, run.... A CRAZY LEVEL.
1=Piston It Away (level 25) YES. I AGREE WITH YOU, the king of the Bast**d, the level that take more time to get a relic (and the first time was Just BLUE!!).
In the world, there are enough bad Word to use for pass this Poop.
Every single enemies is a desperation...

I hate in the Deep of my Heart this trime trial level.
The Polar level are harder than a 7th Place... You have to Be very able to press Circle Just After a Jump to run again...or maybe don't press any button, because you Can die ... Oh god... Totally bear is the level where i take my last gold relic...so... A lot of patience and a lot of angry moments....

Personally I thought gold was too easy so I went for the platinum relics instead. I've got all 84 platinum relics.... Casuals thinking Crash is hard :p

Hey man ik I'm kinda super late with this but thanks I just got the platinum for crash 2, back then I didn't feel like dealing with the stress. But one day I said oh what the heck, I love crash too much and the past few days I was grinding time trials. Honestly I found piston it away easier than spaced out, I died a lot on it though mostly due to pitfalls and me panicking...good stuff, great video.
