WE does an exceptional heat treatment on their 9Cr18Mov. I'm curious to see how their 10Cr15 holds up. The only issue I have with these is the dead space that could have been a good choil but isn't.
My favorite part of Civivi after the real quality you get is how simple they keep their knives. Minimal parts. Other great brands like Kizer and CJRB have lots of extra cutouts and parts going on.. more points of failure to me. The Elementum line is perfect for like 75% of people. There’s a knife or knives for anyone in the lineup. I personally like the 3.5” Button-Lock best.
Amazing review, keep it going! Have the folder already, loved it. Now i found out that there is a even a more beautiful fixed blade! 😍 (Just ordered 1 haha)
I did a bit of searching could not find any destruction tests but this is thinner blade than you would usually find on a survival knife. That said not every outdoor knife is a survival knife
@@Kevinclearysharpstuff try joe x. It's a bit rediculous what he does, but really shows the difference between knives :-) Hitting cars, stone, that sort of things. You'd be surprised how bad some expensive knives perform! Funniest one for me was a hultafors ok4, practically indestructible for 20 euros :-)))
@@poacher-ec9zo isn't that the whole point of a knife? They often show it as an outdoors or bang up knife. Those things are meant to be reliable and sturdy....
I still fail to see how stabbing car doors and slamming the edge and tip on a brick equates to use "in the wild". Of course it broke under those conditions, that was kind of the whole point of Joe X's video. I've used this knife for bushcraft and camping ever since it first came out and have had 0 issues with it other than the occasional edge touch up.
I have the polished G10 version. Very comfortable in-hand, though I wish it was just a little longer.
This reminds me of the fixed blade version of the Kershaw Skyline. Only had the folding version but it was cool looking.

it's seems like VG-10, i think so.
Best time of year is right around the corner!
I think both are beautiful. I have the Civivi Elementum flipper with gray g10 scales. My new fav EDC 👍

It looks like the golden ratio was used in the artistic design of the handles.
No wonder that this knife is so popular.
Excellent review. I am trying to decide which one to get. Do you have any additional thoughts since making this video?
Do you think it's better value vs. Kizer Maverick?
Hit that dislike button twice lol 😂
Unfortunately the blade is weak af. Saw a few destruction tests and it was embarrassing. Don't rely on this knife in the wild....

It's so sad that strength is such a factor in knives today. I cut things every day and have never broken a knife

Stop bitching about the sheaths.. Lol...
