Azure, in his ignorance and blind assumptions, proclaims Ne Zha a slave to his duties as a guardian and offers him a moment to back down in the phrase of an order. Ne Zha, certain of himself and his role, rejects this assertion and enforces his unwavering faith in upholding peace and the established balance. The Third Lotus Prince was fully prepared to fight until his last breath or damning encumberment. Even when heavily wounded, he still fought to protect the Monkie Kids soon after their arrival. He only left because he was pulled out of the fight abruptly and couldn't get back. Whether he believed the Jade Emperor benign or otherwise, he understood, at least in part, the requirement to fulfil such a role and guarded it with his life. I respect the hell outta that sort of devotion, and it safely secures him a spot as one of my favourite characters I've ever come across. All his little quips and moments combined with Johnny Yong Bosch's performance certainly help, too ^^
This scene was like a wake up call and actually showes me how fightful Nezha can really be. Bro still tried to defend MK and others even when he got stabbed in his chest and arm 😭 I really wishes more ppl loved Nezha 😔

Lmaoooo I love just the first 15 seconds and then dispersed amongst other quotes as well “WUKONG!” Ne Zha’s most common line. In his 10mins of screen time 3/4 is taken up by him yelling at our Monkie king XD When I first fixated on the show I absolutely loved the small parts of their interactions and energy and kinda shipped them and then I went looking for fanart or fics and there’s just nothing of them and I got kinda sad but forgot abt it. And then I hadn’t watched the show in a while and started thinking “wait, why did I even ship them in the first place? they have like very few interactions” and then I see this video and remember that 90% if ne zha’s lines are to/about Wukong and was like “oh yeah, that’s right, dude is absolutely infuriated by him, but also totally obsessed with him lmao”
@@jayden_idk6969 I did not know that and so I did a bit of googling and it looks like in a lot of iterations Ne Zha is “eternally 12” but specific to LMK there is no confirmed age, besides being several hundred years old (as he appeared mostly grown when he helped lock away the Samadhi Fire). I’ve only ever interpreted Na Zha as a youngish adult, maybe late 20s in terms of mental maturity since he’s older than Red Son and Red Son seems more in the same mental maturity range as MK and Mei (who has been confirmed to be 23, assuming MK is about the same seeing as he has his own apartment). So I think it’s kinda up to your own headcanons and opinions unless it is revealed in the future. If your interpretation of Ne Zha is mentally a 12 y/o then I absolutely take back my statement, shipping minors (especially with ppl more than a year older/younger than them) is problematic and definitely not my intention. For me, I’ve always interpreted Ne Zha as an adult around Wukong’s mental age range, as their rivalry reminds me of people who grow up together competing and it’s that interpretation that I’d ship the characters. I also don’t really like to headcanon relationships or ship characters within the canon, only in the context of AUs where other details can be modified (like ages). Hope this explains where my head is at and makes it seem less weird. It’s not my intention to encourage inappropriate ships, just wanna have some fun thinking about dynamics in a made up version of a made up world

It's misinformation that a lot of fans seem to believe and I think it mainly stems from the fact that a good chunk of people in the LMK fandom got their info on Nezha and JTTW from OSP. In one of their videos, Red made a joke on how Nezha's youthful appearance made him look twelve. But I guess a lot of people took the joke too literally and thought that it meant he was ACTUALLY twelve, which wasn't the case. I believe another reason for misconception is because of how there can be mistranslations. I think in one of the english translations for JTTW, it said that Nezha was eternally young. But in the original language (I think JTTW was originally written in Mandarin, but I'm not entirely sure), Nezha was described to be eternally youthful. Being eternally young and having eternal youth are two vastly different things and I think that's also where the "Nezha's eternally 12" stems from. There was also one recent movie about him where he was actually 12 in the movie and it quickly became popular both amongst China and here in the west. So it's entirely possible that fans are mixing up mythology Nezha with media Nezha as well.
