That song during the Star Wars-esque text roll is sooo RPG, I can see a "character creation" menu by the closet.
I am 100% sure that the scream of Aqua at 5:47 is Sora Amamiya adlibbing that Aqua ca't even get herself off a bunch of boxes without screwing up because it SO fits.
Konosuba is the poster anime for "every smallest thing you do is going to come back and bite you, it's just a matter of when."
Next 4 episodes are easily best in the entire series, can't wait!
Realized I haven’t mentioned this yet, but the composer in charge of Konosuba has worked on many games, which is why the OST sounds like a JRPG soundtrack. The composer even made a song for Nier, which made people think of Nier for a certain upcoming bgm for the upcoming Konosuba spin-off series. 9:56 - One of Kazuma’s notable character traits. 11:49 - That’s the reference for this episode. 12:29 - ‘Objection!’ for those that know Ace Attorney/Phoenix Wright. Fun fact: the LN referenced Danganronpa and Ace Attorney (Based Attorney and Manganronpa) when Aqua mentioned why she should represent as Kazuma’s attorney. Also, during the court scene, Aqua noticed the noble was using something with demonic essence/magic, but was kicked out of the court (she said she *is* a Goddess and the lie detector dinged, because she isn’t one right now.) This is to foreshadow that something is up with the noble/makes him more menacing, since he’s directly trying to force the result in his favor. The Darkness books/arcs are memed as the NTR Arcs.
A NIER TRACK!? Which one?
@@TGLReacts The composer is Masato Koda/Coda and the track is called Grandma in Nier. Unfortunately he doesn’t have a Wikipedia page, so you have to really search to find what he worked on.

There’s a bit of a failure in the subtitles correctly displaying how the large numbers work in Japan. The counter at the end lists “12 億(oku), 4000 万(man)”. When you get into larger numbers in Japanese they don’t progress in multiples of 1,000 but rather in multiples of 10,000. 1 Oku is 100,000,000, and 1 Man is 10,000. So 12 oku is 1.2 Billion and 4000 man is 40 million. They owe a total of 1,240,000,000 eris at this point, which is 1.2 billion on top of what they already owed from damaging the wall

I dunno about the LN, but in few manga chapters I read that weren't animated, the characters weren't quite as visually sexualized. So it is something they decided to do in the anime that way (not that I mind).

Once this season is over, if you are looking for more hilarious anime from the creator of this wonderful series, I have two suggestions. The first, Kemono Michi, about a wrestler with a love of animals, who is summoned to another world in order to take down demon beasts. His response? To suplex the princess who made the request from him. The second series, Combatants will be Dispatched, is about a man from an evil orginization sent to a fantasy world to prepare it for conquest. It has a whole nother quartet of girls like who we have here, and is hilarious!
