- Hello everyone, we are back at it and taking a look at the BoaFang Carburetor. We have a Jet Kit that will help us get this Avenger 85 at top performance…. Maybe. We also have some goodies to show. Might be awhile before I can use them but that is okay. Sometimes you have to sit on good parts for a little bit.
Great video bro can tell your having fun with the new motor
Brother, man, thank you. Yes, indeed. Feel like a kid with this one 😂😂😂
Thanks for the ride along 😎👍
Thanks for tuning in. 🙏 🎉🎉🎉
Sounds happy, nice job…
Thank you. I'm going to get up to a 72 and see what happens 😊😊
Love it brother keep up the good work
Thanks brother!! Having fun!
Awesome vid bud. Your build is super smooth. You're getting decent numbers with a size 70 main jet. It's hard to say if it's running lean cause it sounds like your build is running nice.
Thank you very much! I like to jet up until I hit a jet, the leads to top end 4 stroking. Then I got one jet lower. Seems to work okay. 😊😅. The 70 did better than I thought it would. Thanks again. 👍 😊😊
Love video bro I subscribed
I thought you were going to crash but that was a good turn them tires gripped
Build brake never fix is far from a legend lmao.
I enjoy his work. Have a good day. 👍
Why is that??
I just put a gomax pipe on my avenger 85 with a windowed piston and it smothed it out and woke it up.Its not the same engine now and no more vibration
Those cdi wires just unscrew from the cdi so you can cut a couple inches off and screw it back in to clean up the look if you want to. Just dont accidentally cut too much off.
The CDY wires are kinda short compared to others I've used. But I didn't know you could just unscrew them. Thanks for thr tip!
@@grendelsgarage9723 I'm talking about the big spark plug wire
@@grendelsgarage9723 I should of been more specific
Oooohhhhhh duh!!!!! Yes yes indeed the spark plug wire does unscrew from the CDI 😅😅😅
Thats a great price on that jet kit, I paid 8 bucks a piece for mine!
Thanks! I had to dig a little to fine it on Amazon. Dam 8 a jet!!
Yeah, I noticed that MY Avenger came with a standard 415 chain, not a 415H (slightly bigger & thicker links). They say 415H but you can SEE the difference in size between the chain i got with the pk80 and the one I got with the Avenger, they both say 415H. I suspect this motor with burn through china chains much faster than what we're used to seeing on the smaller engines. I don't want to drop 40-50 bucks on a real, quality chain. Probably not worth it. But oh well, it's a wear item to begin with, so.
😂😂😂😂 Yes, I think you are right. A 415 China chain will stretch with the Avenger 85. I'm running the chain that came from the Wild Cat kit. It's 415H and think! Just need to get my tensioner adjusted right 😅😅😅
That's a cool bike. You should try a Sturmey Archer front wheel, they come with a drum brake. They're great and look bad ass.
Is that a 36 two sprocket if so stock pipe 45 miles an hour that's pretty good you need some good brakes on that bike at that speed good job do ride safe.
Yep 36 sprocket and brother your 100 percent right on the brakes... I need to upgrade to disc in the front at the min.... thanks brother!
I also meant to say that I noticed the size difference because my chain kept stretching, even though it has long been broken-in. So keep a close eye on it. 🤔 or just wait til it snaps and hopefully it doesn't whip you or bind anything, causing you to crash.
😂😂😂😂 for sure. I will keep an eye on it. Kevin's Shop recommends this chain. MMG 415H, 120 Links Standard Roller Transmission Chain Motorcycle Scooter ATV 50cc, Includes TOP1 Synthetic Chain Wax
He loves them! ❤️ ❤❤
You wanna go super fast try a 40 tooth sprocket and a 70 jet or a 32 or 30 or 28 sprocket
Rocking the 36 for the hills. Bro, you right though, a 28 on a flat fun would be wild!!
@@grendelsgarage9723 28 tooth sprocket you're going to need knee pads and a Saiyan God armor around your chest and rider gloves
@RaoulDuke224 bro you might be right. I don't think I will keep the Avenger 85 on this bike. I need disk brakes. 😅😅😅
@@grendelsgarage9723 in my video test drive I was using a rear wheel tooth sprocket 40 and it scared the crap out of me
Shit is ridiculously fast
So is that an 85cc motor or 66cc. My regular 66cc engine from bikeberry runs like shit. 4 strokes, alot of vibration too
Thanks for the ride along brother 45 is good for me I do that once in a blue moon I'm fragile lol ride safe brother i don't think the avenger has a window piston does it that will give you more lower end torque because my cast iron minaralli can climb up a hill easier than my athina minaralli and the only difference is one with more lower end torque has the widow piston
45 is a little shaky 😅😅 I will say. The Avenger 85 doesn't come with a window. Are you running a reed with your minarelli or piston port? 🎉🎉
I switched from a 44t rear sprocket to a 32t today (26"), stock pilot and a 72 main. Bone stock Avenger, mind you. I topped out at 43mph (on flat ground) BUT I have an up-right riding position from raised handlebars, so the aerodynamics suck but it's worth it for me. Pulls like a stock pk80 w/upgraded head and pipe on a 36t. So I might swap it out again for a 36t. Either way, there is NO WAY in hell these are doing 50mph after break-in, much less "out of the box" AND on a 44t. Js...
I think you and I had similar results with the stock setup. 36 sprocket, 26" tires, and a heavy steel bike got me to 42 with the stock Avenger 85. Ride safe!
When it was like 15 out my red bike with a yd100 wanted a 72 and now it getting warmer seems like it wants a 70
Didn't even think about the weather affecting the Jeting, but yes, it will. Great point 👉 🎉🎉🎉. We are going to move up to a 72 next.
Make your intake tract I.D the same as the inside diameter of your carb or .5mm smaller even, do not go .5mm larger even or you'll drastically drop your flow rate.
Are we talking about port matching the intake manifold with th cylinder and carb?
I mean the tube that goes from the carb to the engine. If it's even .5mm bigger than the inside diameter of the carb mouth you will lose a large amount of the draw created by the engine. Instead of using a normal sized jet for the application(65-85) you'll need a 100 jet or something ridiculous like that. Ask a local motorcycle rider what jet he uses on his stock bike, you should be very close to that.

I bought clone Dellorto PHGB 19.5mm clamp-on style carb off ebay and the sizing pictures in the description were very misleading. I thought thought whole intake ID size of the carb tube was 19.5mm.Coz that's what the pictures insinuate but it's only just the inner lip of the carb. Then the ID of the actual tube/runner part is like 24mm ....Apparently the intake it attaches to, is very thick wall, like a 19 to 19.5mm ID & 24mm OD that slides into the carb. So I gotta rig something up to make it work. Like a G2 reed with a 23 or 25mm intake tube outta work.
Interesting 🤔 👀 good luck! Idk if this will help but Smokil Performance just released an intake manifold that you can straight mount a PZ 20. They are sick. I bought 3 hahahaa 😅😅😅😅
Ain't 70 a bit small? Good looking new carb too. Thanks for the ride.
Thanks, brother! I need to learn how to use that big old carb now, haha. Yeah, the 70 jet was lean for sure. 😅😅
im all forcthe phantom bro it's a beast they need to fix it's problems and I'll pay that 300 for it it was sick when it worked this thing is good but bro the phantom snt no joke
