Mac Miller is one of my favorite rappers but its a love or hate relationship, because he does some great songs and then he does a lot of shit ones that sound experimental. The macadelic mixtape is great, but Watching Movies With The Sound Off is also great. In this last one I recomend I am who I am, Red dot music, REMember and Someone like you. REMember hits me so much, because i can resemble a lot.

Mac Miller is very underrated, his style completely changed when he meet Ariana Grande, tho numbers wise it went good for him, his core supporters had a lot of mixed emotions about it and he stopped dropping music for about 2 years which is why he is in his 'Resurrection" faze. i suggest listening to "Object in the mirrors" "thoughts from the balcony" or "100 Grandkids"

I don't really think he changed his style due to Ariana though, I think he just wanted to try something new with the Divine Feminine which is a dope project imo. Mac Miller - Faces is still my favorite project from him.

Part 2 of this song is definitely the high-water mark of this guy's career so far. The beat, lyrics and just overall relaxed/melancholy vibe are incredible. He is both sad and at peace; we've all been there - and I think the second half of this song is really just expressing those simultaneous emotions in music. I could listen to it all day.
Saying this is the high watermark of his career shows how disrespected he was .

Circles turned out to be his best album but we don't know if that was purely due to Jon Brion (who also produced Late Registration, dude is legit) But I think the second half of this song is pretty close to Circles sonically

I'd go as far as to say his drug indulgence moved at a speed of a Benz wagon (G wagon) post his breakup with Ariana Grande.
