The fact Detroit punched their way this far in the first place is Outstanding. They've been counted out many times this year and just found ways too grab that W. Any Given game we see time and time again the Favored Titans can and do get beat. Also of note This Detroit team is a pretty damn good road team.

Just play a competitive game first of all. I'm a lions fan, and if the lions go to San Francisco and even compete and lose by a touchdown or less that's a whole lot better than I ever expected them to be this year. Certainly I'd love to see the lions win a super bowl obviously but, getting to this point is far far above where I thought the lions would be this year. I didn't even think they'd make the playoffs so, anything more than where I thought they'd be is icing on the cake. Plus, regardless of the score in this game with the 49ers, the lions are a very good team, a young team and they will only get better. For me, before this season I thought next season would be the season they might compete for a super bowl, but the lions are still young, and they will improve, they will get better, and they will not I guarantee you be one year wonders, they will be competitive from now on, and in the playoffs every year.

It won’t be raining Sunday, Brock isn’t concussed, Lions D isn’t the Ravens D and Deebo is at practice pushing through the only injury on the active roster. As a fan, I’d temper my expectations.

The 49ers played more than twice as much Cover 2 zone, which exposes them to the deep pass. The DBs get the extra help they need, but still give up deep pass yardage.

Detroit’s pro on defense is they were #1 against the run. They’ll do their best to limit CMC and he has been limited statistically in some games this season, and they’ll make Purdy have to sling it. No Deebo would be big.

I was thinking the same thing when Detroit played the Rams. Stafford is a good QB and the Rams have Kyren Williams, Cooper Cupp, Puka Nacua, Aaron Darnold. One would figure there is no way the Lions can handle all that. But they won.

Jared Goff to me is the best qb the lions have ever had since they last won on the road in the playoffs in Bobby Layne. I would love to see an open air stadium in Detroit for the lions much like comerica Park, I'd love that as a lions fan. Both teams on Sunday are gonna have to brave the elements as it were, it's supposed to be a rainy and wet game, so it's gonna be hard for both teams to pass or to hold on to the football. So probably you'll see a lot more running of the football, and some passing but less than usual.

Regardless of what the score is the lions have had a terrific year, and it's been a great year to be a lions fan, because as a lions fan I wasn't sure they would make the playoffs at the beginning of the year. Certainly skip Bayless on Twitter stated that the lions earned the right to get blasted by the 49ers. And then he says in a very backhanded way, but good season. I think it will be a close game, and a good game, and as a lions fan I want to see the lions make the super bowl and WI a super bowl. But, really all you can ask for is go to San Francisco a very very tough place to play and keep the game close and don't make careless errors and give yourself a shot to win. Regardless of if the lions win or lose I don't think it's gonna be a blowout, I think you've got two terrific teams giving it all they've got, and one team has to win, I think the lions okay a close game, and if they lose, hey that's football. But the lions are a very young team, they will certainly improve in the off-season, no matter how they finish, even if they go and win the super bowl, they will address some real pressing big needs they have such as another Hutchinson lineman and some secondary help, either in the draft or free agency. Interesting thing with skip though is he thought they would lose both games to the rams and also to the bucs, he picked against the lions in both games, And said the other team had the better qb, and the better team. On Sunday in Twitter, I was looking at it at comments players or personalities in espn and others were saying and skip was like I told you the lions would win, no skip you'd been saying the opposite all week on your program. And skip, at least my lions are a team that won a couple playoff games, and they will be contenders for going deep into the playoffs for a long time, unlike your cowboys. If skip doesn't like a team, or a qb, it doesn't matter what they do, they could win the super bowl, as Eli and the giants did twice, and he didn't complement them on a great season he said they got lucky or the other team didn't play well, he's gonna do the same thing to the lions if they win the super bowl this year or any year.
