As an absolute fan of the Vulcan I can say, without fear of contradiction, that the “howl” is the best aircraft sound ever to grace aviation enthusiasts ears worldwide, and in second place is the “mighty Merlin” in all its iterations. Now that Vulcan XH558 has been finally retired air-shows will never be the same again, I understand why she had to be grounded but when you consider that far older aircraft are still flying it nearly breaks my heart. My dad was an Armourer on the Vulcan back in the 60s and early 70s at RAF Waddington and I really wanted my first posting when I finished my mechanics course at RAF Halton to be on the Vulcan, but alas it wasn’t to be, second choice was the Lightning, but again it wasn’t to be, I ended up on the Jet Provost at RAF Cranwell, at least I was in the same county as both of my choices, Lol 😂. This last Christmas (2021) my wonderful family bought me the honour of having my name inscribed in the Bombay of XH558, I also received a framed certificate of the inscription along with a item identity plate from a piece of the avionics equipment, I don’t mind saying that it moved me to tears (I should really admit to blubbering like an infant) it wasn’t just the inscription or anything, it was also a link to my dad, I never got to work on either aircraft so I guess it made me feel that we both had a connection to her. RIP Dad, gone but not forgotten, Per Ardua Ad Astra dad. Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece of heaven, I am so grateful that people preserve the sound and vision of the best post WWII bomber aircraft ever designed and built in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 and the world. Thanks again 😀👍🇬🇧🏴🇺🇦 P.S The bomber that thought they were a fighter.
A great video I felt at times when watching that I was actually on the aircraft and that is nothing like then being there live watching I'm sure wow what a show and great photography goes to the person or persons and to all who put this fine show together again thank you ROBBIE. Seen this beauty quite a few times late eighties early nineties while still under the RAF.the pilots were a lot more care free them days.the sounds it made then made your blood run cold.this is what Britain was capable of not the nonsense we have now.we couldn't even make a wheel for this never mind the whole thing
Excelentes videos...saludos de El Salvador 🇸🇻

@@allandavis8201 "yousef aziz" just post rubbish all the time. I think he is part of MegaEgo and Ex Prince Harry PR Team?
An amazing aeroplane and a history we should all cherish- only mared by constantly calling it a "she"...........
"She" is a common term of endearment in the military. I was in the US Navy and we referred to our ships as "She" also.
@Pound Puppy - As was I....
I never once referred to my rifle or sidearm as a 'she' though.
