Klewenalp is an authentic place in the Swiss Alps tourists don't know. It is located in the Canton Nidwalden on Lake Lucerne. Klewenalp is in close proximity to other popular mountains such as Rigi, Pilatus or Stanserhorn. You can reach Klewenalp by cable car or hike. To get to the cable car station, you can either the your car or public transportation. There are also lake cruise connections from Lucerne to Beckenried, where Klewenalp is located.
Once you have reached the top you will be greeted by amazing views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding Swiss Alps. You can either use Klewenalp as a starting point for your hikes, or you can simply enjoy the alp as well by doing circular hikes, picnics and enjoying the fresh air and sound of the cowbells. In summer there are cows on Klewenalp. You will see them on your walks and be able to get the full Swiss Alps experience. Klewenalp is very popular among locals, however tourists don't really know about this place, despite the prices for the cable car being really good!
