I bought and installed Borla S-Type. I want to express my gratitude to all those who participated in the creation. All team of Borla. I am very impressed.
Just installed the S-Type on mt 2020 SRT and wow does it ever sound good. A lot louder than I was expecting, but nice and deep just like I wanted. Zero drone in the city and on the highway, even when the MDS kicks in. Its also louder city driving than on the highway, bonus! I had the tips powder coated gloss black to match and couldnt be happier. 11826 is a perfect fit on the 2020's. I had them welded on rather than clamps.
The Borla is a Good exhaust, but trust me the best sounding exhaust on the SRT motors 6.1/6.4 hands down is the CORSA... I have heard them all in person.. and the CORSA is a pure Eargasm... on WOT it sounds like a friggin Dragster yet throaty but zero drone when cruising.
this popped up on my feed tonight and i cannot stress how good the s-type and especially the ATAK sound on these jeeps. I've thought about getting one again and this will be the very first thing to get changed out if i do. amazing products. I've put Borla on every car I've had in the last 6-10 years. Wish they'd make an ATAK for the G8. Also, an amazing company to deal with. Ok, im done fanboy'ing :p
Roberto. He said it just for the srt8. So no not for any jeep... The SRT8!!!. The s-type is what id go with it sounds like a beast is about to come out!!! VARY NICE.
My gosh. Your exhaust videos are both entertaining and informative. I was expecting just a rev clip here or there, but this is very well put together. Give a raise to your cameraman and editor! P.S. what editing software do you guys use?
I bought the Atak for jeep 6.4, it didnt even sound like the "S-type" in the video. Took it to muffler shop for muffler delete and added x-pipe. Now sounds like "Atak" in video.
If you are considering these pass on them. I ordered the Borla ATAK in September of 2021 from my Corvette dealer. They did not arrive until a/4/22. It was so long I decided not install these and had found another product available. Borla with not having even made them yet refused to cancel the order. Grudgingly, I had them installed and low and behold it has an issue that generates a sound like you have a fan belt that is loose. So now I have to order a replacement for 3 to 5 months from now while driving what sounds like a souped up '72 Vega. The candle on top of the icing is that Borla will not pay for the require labor to remove their faulty product and install the new set. They do not have good customer service and will not support you their customer.
Hi, I'm sorry to hear about the long wait for your new exhaust and that it seems to be defective! All Borla Cat-Backs are covered by a Million-Mile manufacturer’s warranty and we would be glad to send you a replacement system. If I may ask, were you working directly with one of our Customer Service team members or your parts distributor for a replacement? We always recommend contacting us directly for issues with our products. Please reach out to our Customer Service Manager for help getting a replacement system and to discuss potential reimbursement. His email address is ChrisB@Borla.com. Again, I apologize for inconvenience and trouble. We'll get you taken care of. Thank you.
I recently bought a Jeep with the Borla S Type, installed, but there was a HUGE drone and I felt it was overly loud, I then realized that there was no resonators in the middle of the jeep which probably was the culprit. what part number do I need for the center to reduce the drone, / overly loud straight pipe sound. Because the the sound of the exhaust is beastly which I want to have again. Thank you!
not positive if these comparisons are of Cat-back systems OR axle back systems. See 3:36 it shows Part # 11827 as a axle back system. i.e it would still have the factory resonators installed.
Puedo afirmar categóricamente que Borla suena mejor que Magnaflow, soy instalador y en verdad que quedan muy satisfechos los clientes, es una pena que no haya un distribuidor tan completo en México, sería un éxito
Great Video!!! really helps making decision. Any chance you have a side by side comparison on these two set ups for the 6.4 300 srt8? Looking to pull the trigger on one soon and would like to hear. Borla is top notch!
No love for the chrysler 300srt8?! Lol I had a 2006 jeep srt8 with a borla s, best exhaust sound and loudest IMO...I loved it. However, it was a catback system. I've been looking at the borla atak for my new ride (chrysler 300 srt8) and it's only axel back. Are the gains still there even though it's only the rear section? Do you plan on making a full catback exhaust? Kinda worried about air restriction with it.
That's a really a fantastic review/ i have 2016 and i saw on the website same that one in video and new one with x pipe is that main more aggressive sound or both are same ?
pretty much 0, all cat back systems on modern NA engines won't add much if any power. In order to get gains from a modern NA engine you need to modify the headers, intake and give it a custom tune. Gone are the days of horrible designed factory cat backs that sap power.
I have the 2014 with atak axle back.To me the system is too quite.I wish they made a catback system. it's OK on WOT,but you don't get that burple popping sound on downshifts. I've only had it for a few months, so hopefully it will get louder.
I am interested - however, I have read lots of complaints about how difficult it is to install. For example: "it takes some brute force and HEAT to have it line up properly" or "exhaust was a little troublesome for the installers" or "I had a professional exhaust guy do the install and neither side hangs properly in the rear fascia openings". Are your engineers doing anything to correct this?
Just a follow up. I purchased the Borla S exhaust and it didn't line up at all. Called the Borla 800 number and was put through to Steve Williams. He sent me a brand new exhaust that fit perfectly. Steve is extremely professional and made me feel like a valued customer. And needless to say my Grand Cherokee SRT now sounds fantastic. THANK YOU STEVE AND BORLA.
Not true. The Borla ATAK core is based on patented Multi-core technology with larger cross-section and actually outflows a single core. Less restriction = More efficient
Hi. Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we do not have a cat-back system for the 2014 model year and the 2015+ cat-back systems do not fit. Sorry about that.
Hi! We offer different Cat-Back systems for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. They're available in our S-Type and ATAK sound level. Please let us know if you need help with part numbers!
@@jeanpaulbombayy1706 These axle backs still fit 2015-2020. Beyond 2014 they removed some exhaust valves just past the axel that the Borla instructions have you measure the cut from. Any decent exhaust shop can install them - or DYI if so inclined. ua-cam.com/video/ekwFqlqLCG8/v-deo.html

Great job producing this video. Whoever directed this deserves a raise.

I second that with the black tips.
TOO BAD you still don't manufacture a black tip!
GOTTA HAVE them.
Thanks
LCL
Borla S w/ Kooks headers and you got yaself one of the best sounding exhaust setups out there..
Now that is a smooth azz sounding exhaust!! My Cherokee is a '03 but I'm getting this installed on it anyway!!!! I love the sound of a good exhaust!
It's all a matter of opinion, I do not like the CORSA at all.
Far to quiet at idle and cruising
Tony Zeno Yeah not a huge fan of Corsa
True! I had corsa 14991 on V8 GC Overland and it sounded like a beast
The corsa doesn't fit the styling of the Jeep at all. It works on a Challenger or a truck, but doesn't have the refinement fitting of the Jeep SRT.
Thanks we appreciate the compliment. We're using Final Cut Pro & After FX, with a bit of Cinema 4D.
I have the Atak for my Jeep & Charger... Very happy and satisfied.
Boy this made me so happy just listening to it!
Atak sounds sooooo great!! amzing job guys)
The atak is more aggressive but the s type has that deep refined rumble to it.

S-Type by far... this is a luxury vehicle.
***** how ironic.. a chuckle seems to be a very controlled laugh. laughs uncontrollably?
luxury???
I put the axle back borla attack on my 2014 jeep srt and it sounded awesome! The drone wasnt bad at all
please make a video with sound options for the wrx or sti
Love the sound, just we had you guys in Australia

Nice so just for clarity because I removed the suitcase, put in a x pipe... so would you go with the s-type or attak
When are you going to make the Black Crome Tips?
The ATAK sounds sick

Can i buy borla atak for a 5.7 grand cherokee (summit)
Now i know exactly what i wanted. Thanks for the video.
I've got the Borla multi core series on my 2014 Jeep Overland and love it. Looks like I need to get the ATAK for my SRT, sounds amazing!
When are gonna do an ATAK for the ram?
Please do the ecodiesel version of the grand Cherokee.
Really nice !!!
Nice 🤩where to buy the atak in France ? Please
ATAK FTW!

@@borla sorry but are not Part # 140632 and Part # 140633 full cat back systems? thx
AWESOME GUYS!
jUST NOT SURE BETWEEN THE S and the ATAK

Could you please make a video of the Camaro Zl1 Exhaust System?
Is the S-Type significantly louder than stock or do I need to get the Atak?

The best
The S-Type sounds much more muscle... The attack is just loud.
S-Type👍🔝
Hi guys. Thanx for the vid, awesome. When you mention "a few horses " are we talking less than 5 or about 10hp!?! Thanx / Mike
I Choose A. LOL Great sounding exhaust.
Do u make systems for m35x duel exhaust

AtAk👍🏻
So these are the axle-back products, not the cat-back versions?
Hi! Correct, these are Axle-Backs. Unfortunately, we don't offer Cat-Back systems for the 2012-2014 models.
You think they would manufacture something with a black tip seeing its been around for sooo long
i cant afford the ride..,. but if i could, id go with ATAK with no doubt
الله يرزقنى انشاء الله
آمين.. وياك يارب
آمين.. وياك يارب
How much Liter will it use for 100 km in mix ?
Is it normal for your steering Wheel to vibrate after installing the S Type Borla Cat back system on the Jeep SRT?
is this the cat-back or just the muffler ends?
ATAK is fucking mean, I love it :D
How much HP does it add tho?
pretty much 0, all cat back systems on modern NA engines won't add much if any power. In order to get gains from a modern NA engine you need to modify the headers, intake and give it a custom tune. Gone are the days of horrible designed factory cat backs that sap power.
The vehicle need software after installing the exhaust ?
What would happen if I took an axle back for a specific vehicle and put on a different one?
chevyhs your engine would explode because of the back pressure thafs either too high or too low
How much horsepower on average does the exhaust add to the 2014 jeep srt?
Is this catback or axelback?
I feel like the ATAK system restricts a lot of exhaust flow and may be less efficient than most.

Can the 2015 fit on the 2014?
Please advise!

If you do gain power it’s probably from weight reduction
Could this go to any grand cherokee?
Yes it can, don't believe them...
compare it with the meisterschaft roar... :D you will not be disappointed
Mine did 12.5 quarter I don’t know what he talking about
Does it fit on a 2020 srt8
Thanks for reaching out to us. We have a different system for the 2015-2019 model year, but we have not yet confirmed fitment for the 2020 model year.

attak sounds worse, I like the s types
I thought I was bugging but I def like the S-Type better
the Attak sounds way better imo

Sounds like a clogged muffler with air leaks
I have no exhaust lmao
Show me an ATAK with black tips and I'll show you the money
Just get them painted
