pocketstash they're literally my favorite youtubers. I only started watching them for music Mondays when they used to do kpop reviews but they're such warm funny people I just stayed it's been years since they stopped music Mondays and they've even left korea but my heart just is with them you know?
Lotte is a conglomerate found by Korean-Japanese man. The source of the company's name is neither Korean nor Japanese, but German. Shin was impressed with Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther (1774) and named his newly founded company Lotte after the character Charlotte[8][9] in the novel ("Charlotte" is also the name of a new brand of deluxe movie theatres run by Lotte). Lotte's current marketing slogan in Japan is "The sweetheart of your mouth, Lotte" (お口の恋人,ロッテ Okuchi no koibito, Rotte).-wikipedia says.
Im binge watching you guys. From japan days back to korea days and back to japan again. And i still want to be you guys . Since high school and now ending my degree life you guys have been THE comfort i come back to all the time. Love from Malaysia 🌸🌸💕💕💕🌸🌸😭😭😭😭😭
I've always wanted to go to Lotte World, I guess I can't complain since i'm traveled enough to have been to almost all the Disney parks except the ones in China.
I loved this review of Lotte World. I visited Korea in the summer or 2008 and I visited Lotte World. I agree you with you when you say it's a must see. I'm not sure why but when I went the park was really empty so I didn't have to wait in ANY lines. I was able to ride Atlantis several times in a row without a wait.
I can't believe you guys went to Lotte World! I lived in Seoul when I was little (8-10 years old) and remember loving going there...My sis and I used to love the big pirates ship that nearly looked like it was going to poke holes in the roof!
SNSD came to this park during Taeyeon's episode of the MTV special "Girls generation" if it looks familiar to any of you but you can't put your finger on it. I had to watch this a few times to remember.
at 9:40 is this where they fim 1 of the running man episode? when song joong ki is still in running man? i think this ep has jessica (snsd), i'm not 100% sure, so dont blame me
I think they did film here with Joong Ki still here but I think it was Shin Bong Sun, Hong Ki and Park Soo Ro (did I spell that correctly? Lol) that guested. I can't rmb the episode but it's pretty cool haha
okey i'm confused!!! if i want to go there! and i'm 18 does that mean i'll get the teens ticket or do they count me as 19 cuz of the korean age system?
Loved Lotte World! We went in November and people were still out in freezing weather. I'm sorta shocked you didn't mention the interesting Armored Knight outside the palace. I thought Simon would have picked up on that right away!
That's freaken' awesome! To go to Alton Towers it's like £50 more to buy a fast track ticket, and that works the same way, except you don't get a given time, you just go first into any ride you want, it's great to use on the popular rollar coasters that you have to wait like, forever in line for, but it's wayyy to exspensive~
One of the themeparks in Queensland Australia has this small device you hire for a day and you can reserve seats on rides and get to them at the allocated time :)
i just went there three days ago! you can get your magic pass somewhere.. close to the ride.. and you scan your ticket in the machine and it prints out one magic pass for a time that they set for you... but you should em in the morning because they get "sold out" quickly. i got mine for the Flume Ride at 1pm but i could only get on the ride at 5-5:30pm. oh and plus, you can only get a magic pass for a ride every two hours... so by the time it was 3pm, all the magic passes were sold out for me.
Megan Wakefield Lol? It's not like they have disney characters all over the place. There are so many amusement parks around the world that look just like this and have absolutely no correlation to Disney. Amusement parks like Hersey Park, Six flags, Universal, Cedar Point, Knott's Berry all have their own form of fast passes and wearable merchandise. Also! Look at those prices, what a steal. So much cheaper than buying anything Disney franchised.
Megan Wakefield For an even bigger rip-off of Disneyland, you should check out Everland - Korea's biggest amusement park (in Yongin, which is about 40 min from Seoul). Everland is pretty big, and the nice thing is they give foreigners 50 percent discount in ticket price during the summer (so its 20 bucks instead of 40). The entrance looks so much like Disneyland. Prince Mich is right though, a lot of amusement parks have similar styles.
germankiwigal i know that other places have theme parks, and that theme parks all have similar ideas and use ways that work all over the world. i was just saying that this one in particular looked a lot like disneyland. the fact that they had a lot of disneylands defining features like the ears and the fastpass like things, the fact that it just seemed so much like the theme park I've grown up going to surprised me.
Megan Wakefield it's definitely trying for a Disney theme the castle and the cartoons on the banners cinch it. I'm not saying that's wrong (I mean clearly they've not got copyright issues if Disney lawyers haven't called an air strike on them yet) but it definitely has that...feel. that feely feel that feels feely
when i visited family in korea three years ago and went to lotte world, there was somewhere in lotte world kind of in the back inside where they had cheese ddukbokki. soooo good.
actually you don't have to pay extra for the magic pass. there's usually a machine in front of the ride and you just scan your ticket and your magic pass comes out. but there's a scheduled time for the magic pass line up to open, so you have to get your pass before that and line up during that scheduled time. they have something like that in Disney World too.
i went to lotte world ... really crowded... the gyro drops and other rides was good :) Everland is more like disney land... outskirt of Seoul.. bigger and has more rides too :) and whats best is Caribbean Bay is next to Everland lol
omg this place is awesome.. there are sooooo sooooo many rides but not enough time. and plus at night when the lights are on, they're so beautiful.. and i feel sad that you didnt get good hotdogs but when I was there I had some really good foods!
If you've been to disney land the pass and ticketing is basically the same except for the price and both parks are outside but just for forte it's better by far especially for number of rides and wait for some
The Magic Pass is actually free, you just get it from whichever ride that has it,there's a machine next to it,you get the magic pass and then you come back for the ride at that time. It's basically free but they have a certain time frame until you can get the next magic pass.
you get the magic pass at the front of the ride. theres a machine there. you get it and you come back at the allocated time, and you get straight to the front of the line at that allocated time :) but the good rides run out of magic passes pretty quickly!
I don't know if it's the same, but in Hong Kong disneyland (and probably other places) there is a magic pass where you can go and basically pre-book a ride in advance at a wee machine, and then you get an allotted time to go back and join the "magic" queue ;DDD
I've always wanted to go to Lotte Worldddd.. The Gyro Swing thing is exactly like Psychlone at Canada's Wonderland, and the drop one is like the Drop Tower.
I've been to Lotte World and I'm pretty sure the "Magic Pass" is free haha I'm watching u guys at like 1 am because I really miss Korea. So much. Thanks for taking me on a tour!
I went there during Summer Vacation with my friends, but I was the only one that went on Gyro Drop cuz they're all scared :p it was awesome though. Gyro Drop, Gyro Swing, and Atlantis were my favorite rides. but none of them were as strong as rollercoasters in America, (where I used to live until February)...but I still got to go on most of the rides :) except kiddie rides like Merry Go Around and Bungee Jump because of my friends. :(
Oh man. Disneyland has something called a Fast Pass that is basically the same thing as Lotte World's Magic Pass and it is soooo worth the extra money. One time the line for the Indiana Jones ride was a little over 2 hours but with my fast pass my friend and I got in within 30 mins.
I'm so happy to say that I have been on most of those rides!! Unfortunately for me it was raining that morning so Atlantis was closed :(( But my favourite ride by far was Gyro drop :DD
So I live in Pennsylvania USA and I found the Mnet Channel on my Tv. And freaked out for a while. And I just watch it all the time. And you guys were on it! There is a show called Hello Pop and they mentioned you guys in a show. It was great. I spazzed... the end.
Awww TAT Poor you. I never thought I would be able to come to korea but I randomly got the opportunity to go because my cousin wanted to go there before she goes to university next year, so she made me come with her. Hopefully you get a chance to go! :D
No way. I would not be able to do those Gyro rides. Especially the Gyro Swing, noooo. Wow. The rest of it looked like lots of fun though! Except the hot dogs.. those also looked yucky lol.
fyi, you never ever go to lotte world in summer, May 5th, weekends. it will be packed with kids. the best time to go is in june or sept when kids are stuck at school and the weather is nice to enjoy rides outside. the must ride is gyro swing (without shoes on). one person died in atlantis a couple of yrs ago due to mechanical malfunction.
The photo-bombing couple was too adorable. I only started watching you guys a few days ago but I'm in love!

pocketstash they're literally my favorite youtubers. I only started watching them for music Mondays when they used to do kpop reviews but they're such warm funny people I just stayed it's been years since they stopped music Mondays and they've even left korea but my heart just is with them you know?
ForTaxReasons sounds like true love 😘
Simon screaming when flying pass the camera on the Gyro Swing was hysterical xD

This is definitely one of your best . . . and you have a lot of great ones! I was laughing out loud in a quiet house watching this one!

I can't believe you guys went to Lotte World! I lived in Seoul when I was little (8-10 years old) and remember loving going there...My sis and I used to love the big pirates ship that nearly looked like it was going to poke holes in the roof!
Disney's like, "hmmm..."
Lol
SNSD came to this park during Taeyeon's episode of the MTV special "Girls generation" if it looks familiar to any of you but you can't put your finger on it. I had to watch this a few times to remember.
simon was singing "nine muse - one way ticket" for the people is asking
I HIGHLY recommend Gyro Swing (the one that looks like a giant nail swinging back and forth) in the Summer. The wind is awesome!!
I went there in 2010. I had so much fun, especially in the haunted house. The waffles with whipped cream at the concessions was also good.
at 9:40 is this where they fim 1 of the running man episode? when song joong ki is still in running man? i think this ep has jessica (snsd), i'm not 100% sure, so dont blame me

I can't rmb the episode but it's pretty cool haha
Vivian Nguyen yeah it was an early episode with Shin Bong Sun
okey i'm confused!!!
if i want to go there! and i'm 18 does that mean i'll get the teens ticket or do they count me as 19 cuz of the korean age system?
Stairway to heaven!!!!
Loved Lotte World! We went in November and people were still out in freezing weather. I'm sorta shocked you didn't mention the interesting Armored Knight outside the palace. I thought Simon would have picked up on that right away!
I do lots of pushups :D
is this wonderland in hyde, jekyll, me? it looks a lot like it ....
I love that drama..
Is it just me or did Simon sound like one of those tourists who dont know how to pronounce the words correctly when he said jam-sil?
The couple photo bombing
I'm going to Seoul later in the year for the 1st & one of my stops is Lotte World. You guys have def made the anticipation 10x greater!
OMG! I've gone on all the rides you featured! I can agree with you that all of them were awesome!
Lotte World is kinda like Wonderland in Toronto...Wonderland also has a fast pass but damn, everything is soooo expensive :/
I love the photobombing. xD
Just saying you can get magic pass from the magic pass app . And it's free..... You just need to scan the code of your ticket
the magic pass is free? for Disney parks you have to pay extra! ill definitely check the app out when I get there!
JAEJOONGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! you made me cry of happyness.... that totally is a win right there!
That's freaken' awesome! making seventeen references at the gyro drop/swing ride
Same haha🤓
OMFG YES
Yehetti Spaghetti in their song "Rock", there's a line that says "You take me to the top and straight down like a Gyro Drop" :)
Amy Zhou ho
Yehetti Spaghetti uj
ISN'T THAT LIKE THE PLACE FROM JEKYLL, HYDE AND ME?!?!
XD haha i'm still pretty new to k-drama (started late 2014) so this is my first time seeing a place that was in a k-drama haha.
It's not produced "latte," it's "lote-te"

One reason why I want to go to Lotte World is that I want to get those big and cute bows instead of Minnie Mouse ears with a bow!!! ☺️☺️
Bootleg Disneyland
Madison Zelhofer XD
This just looks like knock off Disneyland, they even have fastpasses. What?!?
Megan Wakefield Lol? It's not like they have disney characters all over the place. Very cool video. I have been to lotte world like 15 years ago and I remember there being hot air balloons. It was fabulous.
i went to lotte world ... really crowded... the gyro drops and other rides was good :)

Went to Lotte World earlier this month, it is a lot of fun but it is really crowded, I guess because it was Summer and a holiday.
I've always wanted to go to Lotte Worldddd..

I wanna go there. . . They always mention it and it looks pretty cool!!!
And, thanks for that heads up (on the food).
And of course, it's Jaejoong. ^^

I'm so happy to say that I have been on most of those rides!! Unfortunately for me it was raining that morning so Atlantis was closed :(( But my favourite ride by far was Gyro drop :DD

And there was a scene from Athena in there too!
Jaejoong!!!!!!!! and martina where did you get your backpack at i really like it.

I just came back from Lotte World and it's totally awesome! Yay
Lotte World is where they shot the mv for Show Me Your Love by DBSK and Super Junior way back in 2005! That's so cool!!!
So I live in Pennsylvania USA and I found the Mnet Channel on my Tv. And freaked out for a while. And I just watch it all the time. And you guys were on it! There is a show called Hello Pop and they mentioned you guys in a show. It was great. I spazzed... the end.
love the Nine Muses references, crack me up everytime...lol
Martina I hope you do a tutorial on your hair because I LOVE IT ^-^
so cool! EAT YOUR KIMCHI STYLE~ I loved your hair style, Martina!

Jaejoong! :D
Simon and Martina, you guys are hilarious, as usual.
Hahaha the random girl doing a photobomb. Well done! Heheh I do that all the time.

YOU GUYS RODE THE TEACUPS!!!!!!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!
This is really cool because I went there already, but now I'm seeing you guys go there and I'm like "Hey I was there!" :D this is awesome
No way. I would not be able to do those Gyro rides. Especially the Gyro Swing, noooo. Wow. The rest of it looked like lots of fun though! Except the hot dogs.. those also looked yucky lol.
OMG! I've been to lotte world! hehe. It was so much fun :) I took sticker photos there! I even bought a small pig rabbit there hehe
This is amazing! You guys made me want to hit up Lotteworld before I leave from here! Also, how did you guys get your lav mics to work on the iphone?
fyi, you never ever go to lotte world in summer, May 5th, weekends. it will be packed with kids. the best time to go is in june or sept when kids are stuck at school and the weather is nice to enjoy rides outside. the must ride is gyro swing (without shoes on). one person died in atlantis a couple of yrs ago due to mechanical malfunction.
yeah they really should! I agree with you!
Martina! Your bag is awesome!!!!! I want one!! :I
