I hope ya'll enjoy our time together in the kitchen today. PS: I haven't stopped using my pans in the week since I received them. Genuinely love these pieces. madeincookware.com/elliotthome ALSO, I *finally* splurged on new curtain rods from deVol so now I'm just patiently waiting for them to arrive... #alwayschanging
I have been changing everything out for Autumn as well, plus some Halloween. Even though I am in Cheyenne WY and we have snow on the way, right now my garden is still thriving, even though I have pulled a lot of it out by this point.
Cute curtains. I've been decorating for autumn, it's my favorite time of the year. I need to follow your motivation and give my kitchen a facelift while I'm at it.
First time watching your channel. I love love your kitchen!💖 the change of curtains is BEAUTIFUL & my favorite color blue. I love your sink & curtains below it. Omg!! The vines over the window is gorgeous!! Also the hop that u put in your kitchen. Love your door table just everything is so beautiful! I just love it! What state do u live in?
Lovely , warm and inspiring . My kitchen is like a tiny little closet and not in any way cute , but I’m going to be thankful and do with it what I can . The Lord is good.
Here’s a saying you may have heard… “use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without”… getting to that contented point is amazing… I live in a very nice 1993 single wide and it’s paid for and I have a lot to be thankful for… enjoy your domain big or small…👏🏻👍🏻‼️😁HAVE A HAPPY DAY 🌺🌸
Your vids are always islands of tranquility for me. So creative & boldly poetic, you often remind me of that playfulness within myself - which enjoys puttering around the house & yard. But here, you share the notion that we should all try to make the conscious effort to do this sprucing up of our spaces periodically has a powerful appeal. Seeing how you enjoy & appreciate the value of puttering around your kitchen as you gave your work/life space a fresh new look, enlivened my memory of what it felt like to just take a moment to simply enjoy the love I feel for being in my own home. In appreciation of that - there is a kind of new found energy - which might serve to get me up & going on so many projects I've put off. That seems a good place to start. I now feel that truth that if all my work is caught up, I won't feel I should put off the need to play, as I've got too much work to do. I enjoy how you create practical changes & also see with a photographer's eye, so create simply beautiful vignettes all around you. It makes your life appear loved. All the while, you are gently asserting for us to be sure to grasp that one of the things we could all be doing - if not doing already, is to remember to take the time to engage in loving just being in our homes, doing what we can do, with whatever we have to work with, to get to feel that simple enjoyment, while creating beauty in our lives.
I enjoy watching your homemaking and tiding up videos and getting ready for each new season. I will surely be watching when the Christmas season starts and I will step back and watch you put your creative ideas to work. The fall "Elliot Kitchen" is one to emulate. Wonderful inspiration for me. Thank you.
Gosh! This video was right up my alley...... I can identify with the entire ideas and way you appreciate your kitchen. This surely makes for a loving and happy home for family. You are very blessed. 💕
Your videos are always such an inspiration to me!! We are first time home owners of a beautiful house in the country, so I love to see what you're doing each season to your home!
Oh using hops to adorn that window...How lovely!!! I love watching you fry eggs in your beautifully seasoned cast iron pan ....When I see copper and cast, I think cozy, warm Elliott kitchen♥....not stainless steel coated frying pans...that one surprised me!
I could live in my kitchen and I really believe in space that you can sit and enjoy each other. My favorite English kitchens have a couch or chairs so you can just sit and be cozy. I love that you have a spot in your kitchen too :)
Oh my gosh. The hops and the creeping Virginia over the windows juuuuuuust about did me in. What a FANTASTIC idea! Such whimsy and beauty. I love it! Your kitchen is a stunning representation of all the love you put into it. It is marvelous. ♡♡ Happy Autumn!
Lovely video! You truly make the simple and ordinary special and for that I am thankful! Your approach to homesteading resonates and am so happy to have discovered your videos, etc. You have made what began as a stressful day, calm, warm and comforting! Thank you!!!
This is my favorite style of videos that you make. The ones where you are narrating you doing life. Lovely and I starred at my curtains thinking yep I think it would make my space more cozy for the fall if I switched them out. ☺
Hi Shaye, Your analogy of washing sheets and washing the kitchen linens spoke to me. The hops are gorgeous and the light peaking in around them is divine. Great video, style and inspiration. Thank you. All the best, Julie 🌷
Love the plates you used for breakfast! I have four pie plates with the same pattern. I'm on the lookout for dinner plates. Love your channel and all your ideas! Very inspiring!!
Thanks for inviting us into the cottage kitchen today another wonderful day hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and see you in the next video my dear friend

@@evalinawarne1337 Evalina, that's a fun coincidence. Voigt is my married name. My husband's family did come from Germany, but many generations ago. I'm so sorry that your family has died. There's a Scripture in the Bible about God placing the lonely in families. I pray this will happen for you. God bless you, dear.
I would love to see how you grow your hops. I have a few growing for medicinal teas and I could use some ideas on trellises for them. They are still young plants but next year should get larger.
I love the gingham fabric you chose for your curtains! It has a huge impact, the colors are so warm and cozy. And the Virginia creeper over the window!❤️
Love your videos as always, when you say you just "clip" the curtains up..... can you please elaborate ? How did you clip them up? I'm all about simple but I need detailed instruction, ha!ha! Thanks in advance
STUNNING Tablecloth at beginning of video! I have one very similar with same lacey edge all around but mine is white with baby blue embroidered dots and flowers. It is one of my favs of all time. LOVE the look and Idea of a living vine above my window!!!!! I used to do this with a very old houseplant. LOVE the hops over the other window! Best looks ever! Smart way to sew new curtains. I never would have thought of using that fabric type but great outcome! I don't sew! And I've never cooked Prosciutto, only as it comes pre-seasoned. But your meal was exquisite looking! BEST LOOKING TOMATO EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT was the fruit you put in the bowl at end of video? Figs? I have a large fig tree but my figs have come and gone this year in NC but those looked like a picture, as my figs don't turn that purple. One of your best videos. Had everything!
Hi Shaye, being a Copper and Cast iron user, I'm surprised you purchased coated Pans? Tomorrow is my day for over hauling , our leaves have turned that means Winter is around the corner. Time to get ready! Breakfast looks great 😊. JO JO IN VT 💕😄
@@emilyc8958 No, they don't seem to fit her aesthetic. That frying pan looked out of place up there with that beautiful copper. It's probably a great cooking frying pan but out of my league.
This video made me so so happy. Thank you! The hops and creeping vine are now on my must plant list. I love your idea of putting them in water and after they root, putting them in a pot!! And the hops tradition sounds wonderful. I know I'm a little emotional right now (pregnant) but I laughed and cried a tear of joy that you make no sew curtains! Haha SO awesome. I may actually make some curtains now.
Do you have a video on how you actually keep your butcher block clean and sanitize? I have a piece of butcher block that I use for cutting veg, but no matter how well I clean it the smell of onion and garlic seem to seep through it and cause it to have all my other veggies that I cut on there a hint of garlic or onion.
I use a little ajax cleaner on my wet sponge as I wipe my butcher block down and it removes the odor. The ajax is the powder stuff with bleach. Smells nice .
I use white vinegar and bicarb, just let it sit for a while and wipe well, it draws out the smells, plus vinegar is naturally antibacterial. Once the board is throughly dry it should really lessen the smell.

What a fantastic idea for the curtains!! Both for the window and storage below the sink ❤ I am about to gut our old and broken dishwasher to make a cubby space for extra storage. The autumnal touches of fresh flowers and hops were so beautiful! But I almost died with the Virginia creeper lol! I have so much of that stuff coming over my back fence I can't keep it under control lol! Thanks for sharing the great vid!
Iron On "Hem Tape" would also make easy work of finishing the raw edges of your fabric!!! Q: could you wash the curtains, so that you could re-use them?
Love the color/fabric of your new curtains. If you decide to install a range hood one day, your curtains and the rest of your kitchen will stay cleaner. A range hood keeps cooking exhaust, chemicals and smoke out of your kitchen. It improves your indoor air quality.
Oh my gosh I love the Virginia creeper and it looks so beautiful in the kitchen but I could not because my husband gets a horrific rash to it similar to poison Ivy. And weirdly he has no allergies to anything else...Your kitchen all seasons is so beautiful and does feel very cozy and welcoming. Always enjoy seeing that special space. I think my most favorite cooking season is Fall. Yes the soups, stews, casseroles etc. yum Very much enjoyed this.

I just use a specific cutting board for anything pungent. And I use another one for everything else.
rub it down with lemon peel and salt, don't use any chemicals on your butcher block!
