Location difference Pyro. The 17+ you saw is the ESRB rating, which is used over here in the US. Still about the same rating, just PEGI's equivalent of the ESRB's M rating is one year younger.

maeve shit, I know What your talking about. Game from 2015, graphics... not perfect, but man, the story, the music, the atmosphere of Arcadia Bay. Everything is on point. I played the first part a year ago, then I played LIS 2 and... it wasn’t the same. I just finished „Before the storm” and „Farewell” bonus episodes, a year since I finished the first LIS. I’m in tears like a little baby, seeing Rachel’s Dead, seeing the day Chloe Lost her Dad and best friend. This game is just so simple, so real. It makes me wanna play it everyday, All over again, just to feel it, to be in Arcadia Bay once more, to be in another world... best game... ever...

I don't know if I can, my initial experience was so beautifully perfect the first time, I felt as if I was there, my mind almost sees this as an event that actually took place and As much as I want to go back I don't want to make any less than as I see it now.

So after her first time rewinding her body should have still been in the bathroom. Could this be her unexplored powers? Also, when she rewinded time the first time, she rewinded back maybe 15-20 minutes earlier that day while in the rest of the game she's only able to rewind time 1 or 2 minutes. Does that mean Max' real powers let her rewind to any TIME in the past? And if she masters her time rewind properly, won't there be a ripple in space so no more creating a tornado? Answer: YES! Too late, Chloe is dead. Good job Max!

Honestly, I like stealth games, action games, fast paced games, and shooters. This game is slow paced, contains no action, no stealth, and no shooting. So you probably guessed what I thought about it. I fucking love this game! The story is super interesting, the characters are very well written, and the best part is, choices ACTUALLY matter. This was an unexpected masterpiece.
I know! I think this is the First Episodic Game ever where choices really have way more consequences than in other games, and that should not be forgotten, because some People think the choices have less consequences, but can you tell me an episodic game where choices have heavier consequence than life is strange?
Lenzia The only game where choices matter that I can think of is a Telltale or David Cage game.

Julian Bell Lol and now, by episode 4 it has everything you mentioned it didn't aha! People need to give episodic games time to develop, they're not going to smash everything into the first episode. Once the entire game is out, I'd highly recommend anyone to give it a chance and play through it.

As someone who has well over 90 hours in Grand Theft Auto V for PC alone just weeks from its' release, Life is Strange is by far one of the most emotional experiences I've had in a game in as long as I can remember. Don't let anyone, not even yourself, convince you this game "isn't for you" until you've at least finished episode one and can honestly say you're not fully engrossed in its' beautifully nostalgic world and genuinely powerful story.

Smort I see your point but mine was : they're writers under an NDA and people ask them to say stuff about the product they just previewed.... but they're limited in what they can say so most would rather give ambiguous or vague answers with a hint of literacy than nothing...because saying nothing about it would also get them fired.
So that's why, i think, the preview comments of game journalists sound like statements made by politicians - lots of words, no substance.

Really regreted i didn't played it earlier. Discovered this game trough some random pinterest tattos, didn't really expect much at first but god this games is deep. As a weird kid who was always a nerd for a lot of stuff, the butterfly effect/chaos theory was one of 'em. This game made me laugh, cry and have a different perspective i had from life. Now everytime i hear this song, i cry😂.

I have 3 words for you: Playable Indie Movie
Some people like to play only for the gameplay , some people like graphics, others like stories.
I enjoy pure session of arcade oriented games, simulations or beautiful graphics.
But I mostly enjoy a great experience. Something that takes me to a journey, a game I can remember 10 years later.
It's nice to see video games going into unconventional directions, that way everybody can find something he likes.
But if some people want to keep the cliché that medias love to attack , showing violent game and all... they're not doing us a favor.
I'm sure "purists" were very mad when game developers started to put stories , background and feelings into games (even in COD). When all they wanted was a new Shoothem'all.
I'm glad they didn't listen to them and kept trying to improve our gaming experience.
nightgardheal Go play a fucking visual novel if you want a story. These "games" are hardly games. I applaud them calling it an interactive indie movie, atleast it's more fair than calling it a game. Overly long cutscenes is one of the biggest tumor's in gaming, mostly because the storyline and char develoipment in alot of games is pretty bad.

The problem is that this game seems to have very little gameplay and mostly seems to be just walking from point a to point b with no resistance. Oh and if you say it's because it's a point and click game, then plenty of point and click games have much better gameplay, hell season 3 of Sam and Max has tons of gameplay of trying to figure out the insane logic of the game.
I bought this game out of curiosity of hearing about it on UA-cam through gamers who were playing it. I remember one day on my PS4 I was bored and went to the PS4 store and I saw The Whole season was on sale for only $11 and I thought ok yea sure. I asked my mom and she said yes. I played this game and cried, laughed, smiled, and stressed as being max. Not playing her being her getting inside her world and really being able to connect to the characters and enjoy a really interesting storyline. It made me just as eager to out what happened to Rachel Amber. I cried at the end because this game really changed my perspective on life. To live in the moment, even if you can travel through time backwards.

It's been 8 years already? I remember this game helping me get through the final year of high school. I found this game very therapeutic, from the story, the music and overall the type of vibe it gives to the players. I'm hoping they make Life is Strange 3 soon.

Watched a playthrough when I was in PRIMARY SCHOOL. was my favourite game then. Rewatching it now. STILL my favourite game now.
As a teen with little money to spend on games, this is one of few single player games that I will not sell even if I don't play it again for another 10 years. This game is amazing and completely unique and I wish I could go back and play it again for the first time!
The amazing thing about this game is it takes thinking and emotional intelligence. You have to decide what outcome is best and take into account the people around you.
Gaming doesn't have to be all about shooting things. This type of gaming is for your mind.
I for one love this game so much. The story is beautifully written, the animation is great, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's very laid back and vague in the first episode for a reason. Each episode as you learn more and make new choices it picks up pace...and it's so entertaining! I'm also a big fan of the music.
Don't let these complainers make you judge the game before you give it a chance :)
Olivia Howell A LOT of thinking if you want to really be abreast of what's going on in Arcadia Bay. All the info is there in prior episodes, hidden away in subtle references, logical jumps, lateral thinking and generally being nosey. That's why I take such issue when people fault the writing. The writing is the best ever put into a video game. You rarely see the level of layered twisting evidence and red herrings that LiS has in a murder mystery episode, let alone a choice based game. I don't want to spoil anything in these comments but check out Geek Remix if you want to see some of this evidence.
+Olivia Howell Yeah, I played the first episode now. What got me hooked into this game was just the overall atmosphere of the game. The soundtrack backed up with the nostalgic high school environment and the beautiful setting/environment was such a delight. As the trailer said: this is a world you truly want to lose yourself into. And I can't describe it any better than that. I happened to start a stereo and a Jose Gonzales song started to play. Then I let Max pick up a guitar and she started to play along with the song. It was just a beautiful and memorable moment to get lost into. And I get if it's not for everyone, you kinda have to be the kind of gamer who loves to really immerse yourself into a game and its story and character. It's not something I can see the average call of duty fan thoroughly enjoy (even though I'm a bit judgmental for saying so).

This deepest I've been into a game since Shenmue. I finished it a couple months ago and I'm still listening to the songs and reminiscing because i feel like something in me came alive and just died as soon as I beat it. I wish they could've dragged it on a little longer although I guess it wouldn't have made such a huge impact if it was still going.
Same, I played a lot of great games and this title had such a weird impact on me after I beat it. I literally couldn't get my mind off it.

This game is one of those games that’s almost too good. Once you play it or watch it, you’ll never stop thinking about it. You’ll never forget the pain Max goes through when she sees alternate realities, when she sees people dying and realizing that she can change it all.
This is the ultimate game of the year in my opinion...
The environment, the graphics, the songs, the characters and the ambience makes you wanna be IN it.
Its like you start feeling the story so much that you start getting emotional for the characters...

This is seriously one of the best games of ever played. I've never been so affected by just one story in my entire life. It's not just a game, it's a story driven by emotion and choice. I've never felt so happy(and sad) to be apart of such an amazing adventure. I wish I could rewind time and forget I ever played it, just so I can experience it over and over again. I love this game so much.

I first came into contact with this game when I was 14 right at the time of its release and since then my life hasn't been the same. The franchise and the characters shaped my adolescence on a profound level that goes far beyond entertainment, it made me meet incredible people, have experiences that I miss today and grow as a person. And honestly, I know going back in time has consequences (yes, blue butterfly, I'm talking to you), but I would give anything to experience that again. So thank you to the team, the voice actors especially, you made history.
I'm a late bloomer but I just finished this game about 2-3 days ago? Starting from that, everytime a Life is Strange ost kicks into my life, I reminisce about the game and cry. Best game ever.

just finished the game and here is my review : game is well and truely amazing , it brings you close to what is yet so far , I live in Spain and playing this game has been a fascinating experience, I have always wanted to go to an amercan collage or highschool , and this game just let's live that ( If you don't count the time rewinding , the guns and the tornado) It feel's you up with emotions and when you finish the game you just want more . I imagine this being like the next Breaking Bad.
I whould absolutely recommend it 15/10 it gives 5/4 hours of gameplay unless your a geek and look around and talk wit heveryone and read everything and admire the work , just like me then it should be 6/7 hours although I truely recommend interacting with everything!
Yeah I totally agree! I live in Sweden and want to go to an American College when I get older and this game really makes you feel like you're there, almost nostalgic even though you've never been there in the firs place.
