Well I mean some of the trailers showed us parts of the black water chapter which clearly never came.
@@user-cr9wp2ib4w i watched a video on a channel that deals with early leaks and stuff like that about rdr2 and based on various thing they presented and interpreted, the game started in Blackwater, as prologue sort of way and then you had the whole escape thing in Amberino (some outside parts of the map and extra story details from wikis and stuff, when pieced together can show the escape path). Now the released version of the game starts towards the end of that escape where they are nearly in Colter

It's the story of revenge and outlaws.It's the story of a man who killed and robbed for his and his crew's survival. In short it's the story of a cowboy who being ruthless outside was kind inside and was always loyal to the person who took him as a child. He gave his everything to the person and stayed loyal to him till his last breath. I don't want to give you spoilers so i recommend that you play and learn by yourself.

It's incredibly nostalgic to look at this now after experiencing this game and going through so much in life. It not only gave me the best gameplay experience, it gave me something to hang on to, and (it may sound silly) it made me learn so much about life and what truly matters, how people can change from one second to the other and how unfair it may be.
When I lost Arthur, a familiar feeling came over me, of grief, that I had never experienced before for a game. It was like he was truly alive and it rendered me numb for a couple of days, and I couldn't believe how deeply I was feeling.
Rockstar is the best game developer out there and nothing will compete with their storytelling, ever.

Everyone's talking about the game itself here, but this trailer is so damn good. It's my favorite trailer out there, from the shots, the monologue, the atmosphere, and to the pacing, all of it sends chills down my spine
The best thing is the game actually has all things and even dialogues from trailer.
I'm surprised at how a simple monologue from Swanson holds so much meaning about the core message of the game.

You know a game is a true masterpiece when you keep coming back to watch the trailer years later. In gaming, there's what came before RDR2 and then there's what came after. Simply legendary.
Even if Dan Houser never left Rockstar, topping RDR2 is an extremely tall order for any developer. We may never see another game like it.
Also the fact that the game itself is better than the trailers. I mean the game itself exceeded my expectations especially when it came to Arthur Morgan who is now my favorite videogame character. Watching this trailer after playing the game improves it for me. I can't say that about any other videogame.
I don't think any other game will give me the one this one did. After days and weeks spent playing red dead 1, it was completely worth it.

There was definitely a lot of people excited to play as Arthur. He has such a domineering aura in the trailers and Roger Clark’s southern drawl is absolute cowboy gold.
I know my friend and I predicted he’d be good, although we didn’t think he’d be as good as John. No one could’ve predicted he would’ve been even better.

This is going to sound strange but as a 20 year old girl I had never played any game other than the sims. During the middle of a depressive episode I randomly started playing this game at my boyfriends house one night. I felt so connected to it for some strange reason and literally took the game and the entire gaming console home with me that night. The game literally gave me a reason to get out if bed in the morning until I was eventually able to get the help I needed. Thank you Rockstar

I know the feeling. Actually, gaming has saved me from going crazy on a series of occasions regarding relationships. The first time was when I was crazy in love with a girl in high school and she broke up with me without telling the reason why - on a coincidence, my parents were gone for 3 days, and all these 3 days I spent playing a game I liked at the moment. It kept me occupied, kept my mind off the pain, helped me go through the worst of it and helped me deal with the rest of it. At that moment I realized that the best way to handle pain was to keep yourself busy, and videogames suit this purpose like nothing else. Almost 20 years later I break up with a girl I've been together for 10 years and lived for 5 because, as it turned out, we had different goals in life - and RDR2 is among the things that helped me going through the impact of the breakup on me. And at the same time, it gave me new emotions, a new experience and new things to think about. I'm a gamer myself, so it may sound like a videogame advertisement, but I advise all not to underestimate the power of a great story and great gameplay, especially when your own real world is falling apart and you need something to focus on to get through some hard times. And, just to leave it out there, Rockstar has never failed in delivering neither of those aspects.

Different games can be the best game of all time for different people , its subjective. Rdr2 is one of my personal favourites too along with half life 2.
This is literally the greatest video game I have ever played, flaws and all. And trust me, I will wait another 7-8 years for a masterpiece of this caliber. If you haven't bought this game, buy it now; it's gonna be a in 'top 10 greatest games' lists for years to come.
The first 4 chapters are a masterpiece, the rest? Not so much....

Maybe i'll be dramatic but...this game is kinda emotionaly connected with me.I've never felt something like this in any other game and maybe I won't again...This masterpiece is once in a lifetime and I feel sorry for all the guys who want to buy it but they can't.

This trailer crafts the story so perfectly. The music and tone. The hint of Micah being trouble and making “mistakes”. The only HUGE missed opportunity is not having the ability to bring a gang member into free roam with you for a period.

Epic is just one word to describe this masterpiece of a Game.

Revisiting this after the GTA VI trailer was released.
Man… this was the best RDR2 trailer and maybe my favorite trailer of all time. The Reverand’s quote played throughout really embodied the central themes of the game’s narrative so well. Man’s technological march towards the future and possibly to our on demise… “with the knowledge of fire, comes the knowledge of everything else”. Wow!
We're now 5 years later from the release of this masterpiece. After re-watching this trailer I think it's written in the stars to re-install the game and do another play through. Thank you rockstar

Even after 5 years, I am still playing this game, it camera direction, cinematic are well blended with the gameplay, it mostly feel like playing and watching movie at sametime.

I finished the game more than i could remember but watching trailers of it still giving me hype to play it again.
I don't know if anybody is gonna read this. I am watching this in August 2023, 2 months before this game's 5 year anniversary. A tear came to my eye after I saw the release date appear at the end. A tear of short-term nostalgia, memories and second-hand excitement. A tear that made me remember how crazed me and my older brother were when we saw the trailer. A tear that reminded me of the way I felt when I came home from school and our PS4 was delivered that day, along with RDR2. And my brother was sitting there, playing, riding a horse through a tough snowstorm.
P.S: I got too bored to continue writing.
