These are great as a beacon. I clip mine onto the back side of my backpack and let it flash so people driving can see me walking on the side of the road at night. I also use them clipped onto the seat bag of my bicycle.
Although I agree that it can certainly be used for that. The Olight Gober fits that bill for much less. In fact, I've gotten more than a few Gobers for free over the years as giveaways. That said, my complaint isn't that the Oclip doesn't have a use at all, but that it's promary inagined purpose isn't satisfied with the LED is has installed. I reckon if it had a floodier light, it would work better, not less well as a beacon light. Although, come to think of not, the red LED actually is a very floody 4 lumen light, something akin to what I'm suggesting the white should have been. www.olightstore.ca/olight-gober-safety-night-light
@@contondant A little more floodier would have been nice actually. I originally purchased it to clip onto the a-pillar trim in my truck to get some coverage that the interior light couldn't. I didn't use it for that purpose because it was too spotty. I kept it though because it worked well on my backpack.

@@RK-kn1ud Yes, exactly. I've received an Orange one and it's a tad better but not enough to real accomplish what I think this light is after.
