  • Here is a second video taken with our Christmas tree. Although the tune "Planxty Irwin" is not an actual Christmas tune, its quiet beauty goes well with the season. It was written by the great Irish composer, and blind harpist, Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738). A special thanks to Neil Fitzgibbon and the Online Academy of Irish Music for the beautiful guitar background. I also added some harmony with additional parts that I recorded separately. Here is to everyone, wishing you all a wonderful and happy 2022 holiday season!

Wonderful to hear, I also play irish music on the silver flute, and this video helped me learn the tune!

Thanks, John. Yes, there are some tunes where using a keyless wooden Irish flute can be tricky or even impossible. This is not one of those, but I just liked having the sound of the silver flute this time.
