    Great job showing us what to do in order not to come over the top. You did a wonderful job explaining exactly how to swing the club.

    This is So on Point - for any players (like me) who has the unmanageable urge to Throw the club at (just before) impact.
    The 6 min mark of this video will illustrate the how and why of it

    Very good! Explanation was exactly what I would have questioned, why the right elbow needs to point forward towards the ball

    Familiar with this concept/tip, but you explained it exceptionally well from start to finish. Well done.

    Hi Troy Thanks for sharing this. I think you have really thought things through before you have put any of your videos out on youtube.Your videos make us wannabee golfers think outside the box.I also think thirty years down the line the swing is all about the way the human body works.Ben Hogan tried to explain these things in his book but I think a lot of people including myself just didnt understand what he was trying to put across. Best wishes

      Thanks Tim, appreciate your kind words. I'm still learning and improving and understanding better what golfers out there want and importantly what they need to improve.
      I try to keep it simple so it can be implemented without too much trouble.
      Cheers

    An excellent tip on the right elbow Troy! Towards the end of last year, I started to paying more attention to the role my right elbow was playing in my swing. I found that anytime it left my side, I was either going to get a push or a pull. I also found that if I incorporated the right shoulder with my right elbow, I would get lot more solid and consistent shots. I definitely like the drill you offered and I will be using it. Keep up the good work!

      Thanks John, yes the right elbow and right shoulder together is a great feel I find especially in the downswing. Nice work.

    Looking forward to trying this out tomorrow. With the long sleeves it took me a little longer to understand what you were doing differently with your elbow but I think I got there in the end. Key takeaway for me is rear elbow pointing at the ground and below the front elbow on the down swing.

    Such easy to follow calm instruction. Very easy to listen to as usual. I just wonder Troy what your view would be using a 10 finger grip and not having little finger riding piggy-back. Pal of mine has just started using this grip style and to great effect.

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Rich, you could definitely try it and see the results. I prefer either the interlock or overlap. Most pros grip this way, but like I say if you get better results with 10 finger then go for it. Cheers

    Great video Troy. Will try out this drill and see whether it can help to make my backswing more fluid. Always feel I am manufacturing the folding of the trail arm. Have suspected for a while this should happen more naturally assuming the ball is addressed correctly

    Thanks for the video Troy. Do you still implement the feeling of the trail bicep uncurling to get the trail elbow to the trail hip checkpoint?

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  2 роки тому +2

      Hello, yes, I think that's a great feel to have in the downswing. As long as it uncurls slowly and not too quickly straightening the arm too fast and causing casting. Cheers

    Great video Troy well done ..definitely the right elbow and hip connection are the real “secret” to a good repeating swing. My feel is that the right elbow and right hip arrive together at the low point 2/3inches in front of the ball ..this really helps me with an inside path as well as striking the ground after the ball and gaining some compression . Any thoughts on this at all?

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  Рік тому +2

      Yes, spot on Dean. I'd definitely agree with that feel with the elbow and hip.
