Interesting these paradox Pokemon are so popular, given many of them are buried beneath pricey expansions for a janky game. Enjoyed my initial play-through of Scarlet, still go back to it, but have zero connection to Raging Bolt, etc.

Ok so Morty safe from appeal/play standpoint but Crown has the appeal/art so do you ever see Bolt jumping Crown? Or Crown/Morty top 2 period.
Think the top 2 is solid iron crown and morty then prob bolt and walking wake fighting for 3rd spot.
The iron leaves deck works!! I created a custom one and I beat Charizard every time along with other decks.
I'm pretty satisfied with my pulls this set. I've managed to pull Walking Wake, Bianca, and Morty (also Salvatore, which is good for my collection, but eh for value). Still looking for Eri and prolly Iron Leaves IRs.
I pulled Morty when he was still around mid $30 and I think the spike in value is mostly because of some Gengar hype going on atm (the FA did spike to $20 earlier and is still around $10 which is obviously super high for a card seeing 0 play.) I doubt Morty's limited play or his popularity is the driving force here since the SM era Morty is still floating around $10 and Gengar is Gengar.

Iron crown is a Nice card but its the same price as celebrations charizard , its overpriced
Raging Bolt Ancient lives or dies on whether or not someone can come up with a Dragapult EX deck that which features RB. I pulled one last week, and for $55 will gladly let someone else hold that risk.
Need this list to go down to 20 or less.
I think future box or future hands will do better with the new iron thorns ex since if it’s in the active then you can turn off all non future abilities like pidgeot and zard. Bye bye zard deck if you can stop your opponent from using these abilities as they suddenly have no energy acceleration or draw engine.
People are really hyping these newer Pokémon cards to the point that the average collectors cannot afford them. There’s no way that these paradox rift, and temporal forces cards should be this costly even if they’re seeing gameplay. The older stuff yes it can be priced accordingly but it’s vintage so it’s understandable but not these Scarlet & Violet newer sets. Market manipulation is getting ridiculous and out of hand.
If you want a card to play with the iron crown ex is 3 dollars. If you want the secret rare textures illustration version you are gonna pay for it.
To me, having these arts be expensive while the low rarity versions remain very cheap is the ideal trade-off to keep players and the people who collect to get excited about the value in new sets. It's unfortunate for the casual collector that might have one of the pricier ones be their favorite card or something but if we're being honest, to have the rarest, fanciest art card in a set be $70 is still like incredibly cheap compared to every TCG.
As for market manipulation, I'm sure there's some, but I doubt it's anywhere near as bad as during the pandemic when there was a frenzy of sharks in the water.
@@Theu131 I’m not talking about me. I’m speaking for the kids and the people that would like to have something for themselves and their collections but cannot because the way the market is set up and the way these cards are being marked up for profit and gains.
It would cost more money to pull these cards by yourself.. these prices are reasonable if you think about the pull rates.
I mean, you also have to factor in the hard pull rates for this set. Even opening a booster box won't guarantee you an SIR compared to other sets.
