Didn't try hair drier, tried hot water, WD40, twisting rubber gloves. In the end I used metal tools to break the plastic bit by bit (which is probably the worst method ever but it worked - I had nearly reached the point of replacing the whole hoover as it was taking so long).
Mine seemed completely stuck on - found a pipe wrench that slid along the pipe a few taps to the end of the tool and it was free, quite surprised at the result but can now buy a replacement head £5 rather than £15 for a complete kit.
Hi kazzymidd,, the head can be very stiff if it's the first time you have removed it, try carefully twisting it but if it is really bad try using a lubricant to help remove it.
Hi maximilinamus 2, it is strange you are having problems as it is designed for the pipe to detach from the head, try a little lubricant to see if that will release it.

A little twist... Impossible to move without breaking down.
The hair dryer trick worked many thanks!
Hi Simon, thank you for your post and glad it worked for you.

Hi Richard Patrick, we have known then to be really stuck on but well done for sorting it.
Now I know how to do it. Put joint connection under hot water for some time and it's should be much easier to remove old one. 😊
Hi mariusz kedzior, it does make the plastic more durable so hopefully easier to fit.
My head is totally stuck I can't remove pipe at all any ideas how I can get off

i cant take my pipe off its stuc what do i do
Try warming the end with a hair dryer or hot water to help it expand and release the pipe.
Brilliant tip. It works! Thank you
I can't take the pipe apart, even when I heat it up

Hi Cyder Steve, thank you for your post and nice job.
