- An excellent recording in all aspects. I appreciate Bolet for the fact that he's precise to the millisecond, even in the forte, but without being a steam roller like Richter for instance.
This being a Kingway Hall recording, I removed the traffic noise, and reduced the pedal noises, which I hate. Adjusted the stereo image and the frequency distribution so this recording I can say really shines out.

I think Bolet absolutely refusing to be arrogant and showing empty flash in his playing *held him back* for decades until 1974 and Carnegie Hall, when he finally started to get the accolades he deserved.
