In my college library working on a paper listening to this. Amazing work music, especially for college as it carries a sense of realism, concentration, as well as depression
Thats very cool. I've used it as a score to re-enact a scene from The Departed, can't explain why, it just came to my head when I was editing. I remember it being very powerful when I saw The Social Network. It's a very well put together piece of music that doesn't dominate but creates very visceral background tension
I do the same thing! I got 3 research papers this semester that, when I'm done, will be about 75 pages written. This music keeps me concentrated and helps me focus.
Agreed! This is very helpful for some reason.
Hope it went well!!
felt something similar. constant failure, the feeling of being cornered over and over, but yet some weird hope and motivation to keep working and to give back.
Just 9 notes yet it is heaven to my ears - just 9 notes, that's all you need
Take the Jaws theme, only 2 notes and it became one of the most iconic themes in movie history.
Jeez! Mark has been running from the pub to Harvard for almost 32 minutes
Anything can happen in the metaverse.
I came here trying to be sad.. im smiling now! Thank you stranger, your comment made a very bad day a little brighter
Please don't ever remove this video
this song is life.
The fuck?
over your head move on
Really what yea
True
this song is death.
Finally!!! Now i can hear this song while i'm running to my house at night
lol it makes sense
Running , for your life?
Run, Mai, run!
Or running to your dorm?
You gonna write in your blog too?
I got married young, and kind of had a ridiculous blind faith in the whole thing. Pretty much right away it fell apart in a painful way. I saw this movie that January. Every time I listen to this song I can feel the complete visceral loneliness and depression of that moment in my life.
This melody is absolutely perfect. It can mean so much. This could play after something incredible happened, if something terrible happened, if the characters just thinking, if the characters depressed, if the story is tensing up, If the story is winding down and it will STILL fit
It contains everything, it is so rich in possibilities, anything could be happening right now, just out of sight or touch. Enough to begin to imagine, and enough to expect anything.
@@CzarYe Literally there is a track in the film called "Intriguing Possibilities" as well:)
I listen to this while driving and thinking about life... and what could have been
Still is a good album for that too
I would not suggest doing that this song makes you daydream and forget that you are driving, which is a very dangerous thing to do. I used to listen to the Skyrim soundtrack while driving and most of the time I forgot that I was driving not paying that much attention. luckily I live in a very small town where Walmart is basically king.
Haha, are you that old now?
I most certainly am but I don't trip on it too much
what is yet to be*
damn. my ass just listened to 32 minutes of hand covers bruise.
and my ass is about to do that shit again
Who ever made this is so good. The calming music represent a young bright boy in college and the distorted music in the background shows an evil person behind a computer screen
Trent Reznor, ft.) Atticus Ross - 'Hand Covers Bruise'
I love the simplicity. Somehow just the few notes played in this way carry so much weight to them. Similar to Gymnopedie no 1. By Erik Satie.
YES
Isn’t music crazy? You play a fast paced song slow and it sounds terrible but when you play it at just the right speed, it’s perfect.
I have been playing classical piano since the early to mid 80s. A very good comparison. Saying more with less is a gift.

There is something so beautifully tranquil yet deeply harrowing about this song. I find calm in its isolation despite the ringing madness that resonates. A glimmer of hope in the ashes of war. A reckoning to the long road of turmoil, travesty, torment and torture. Or the realization for the lonely hero who must stand in the face of it.
Dafuq you talkin about
now listen to Hereditary-Reborn
I was thinking about how to put it into words and the best I could think is, the calm before the storm.

Do you think Mark Zuckerberg listens to this on his walks home?
lol probably after the meetings he has with politicians.
Nah hes too busy shutting down conservative grouos
Doubt it. He looks like listens to likin park tho
When i die, i'm going down under with this playing, hypnotic, beautiful, harrowing and tranquil all at the same time, sensational piece of music. Complex simplicity has never sounded so good.
I've had a tough time lately and this song.. This song.. It is a great song I can cry to. I love it ❤
me too i hope you're ok
I'm here if someone need to talk
Hi
I'm listening to this doing exercises to get over someone (School of Life, CBT)...
Hop you did by now...
My ex (that I foolishly still love) talks to me like I'm a stranger.
@@Rorschach003 that is awful Walter. Im sorry that is happening to you mate.
Sensational reading music. Need a 10-hour version.
there is
or u can right click the vid and click on "loop"
It's so simple, delicate and fragile but vulnerable and heart- rending, and it ear-marked a horrific time in my life.
I haven't heard a song that more accurately conveys the precipice of nostalgic tragedy.
How can nine simple notes evoke such meloncholy?
Wish you a happy 2017! This song has helped me study so much I can never thank enough
AlmostFunnyPC omg! Yes!! I’m not the only one
Indeed got me sober too lmao
Take me back bro. The future from this post is not worth it.
2017! Seems a life time ago! Enjoy the memories!

Let’s stick together
Make this post a timeline capsule! Same time next year or let’s get a annual date to post?! Much love ❤
Dark, moody sad and melancholic this music intonates the vibrative stark indifference in all of us.
I can hear this all my life and i dont get boring
I love listening to this while on my way home from the college dining court on a cold Fall evening on campus.
Literally have had this song stuck in my head since it came out, more often a curse, sometimes a pleasure.
rofl.
2023
And still listening to the ultimate background music
Listening to this while coding after a lay off hits different 🙏
As you listen to this.It finally ends....but that certain sound still echoes in your ears.
Im a Harvard freshman. Listening to this piece of art while coding is amazing. We're all gonna make it.
Yeah?

I am pretty sure that somewhere down my life.. someone is going to stand before walking away, saying, "You are not asshole man... You are just trying so hard to be..."
This is brilliant.
I loved the explanation in the film that whenever you heard this piece of music the piano notes got more distant as Zuckerberg became more evil 🤣
There is a similar piece of music in the Christmas Carol TV adaptation which starred Guy Pearce. Definitely inspired by this of not a very close rip off.
I used to listen to this 11 years ago. Shortly after my mom died. I would just sit in a trance listening to it to grieve. Just think about life.
thank you i still listen to this song in mid 2017
2020 you're probably still listening to it 😀
@@stevetstevelebowski9829 2022, still listening.
@@JoseDelgado-id3el2024 still listeing

It's like the perfect breakup soundtrack.
Your a guy and you have breakup soundtracks-that’s gay
I feel relax when listen to this soundtrack😆
The flute always cracks me up. I picture a little leprechaun prancing around all of a sudden

3 people have no soul...
2021 Anyone? Also i love this Movie along with the entire Soundtrack. Also reminds me of Hans Zimmer and His Music with the Inception Soundtrack.
And also i am not thinking i am the main charater of some series but i feel like it i can't expkain how much this song is mind changeing
No words describe this song
This song is so relaxing at 2 am
If 2020 had a Soundtrack, this would be it.
Nope, that would be Dunkirk.
@@emiliodelbozo3155 Lol yeah this is creepy but calm. Dunkirk is like GIGIGIGIGI BWAAHH BWAAHH. Both masterfully suspenseful soundtracks tho.
I neee this in slowed and reverb
