Ho-lee-shit. This might be better than the original. Oh my God. I was captivated once you spun off and did your own thing. My mouth is still agape and my eyebrows are raised. This is 11/10. Thank you for sharing. Wow.
Thanks! It's actually a recording I made of the upright piano I used in the last video. I've just uploaded it on op1.fun - search for Bechstein piano in patches
WOH! Amazing. How'd you do the first ambient layer with the op1?! Would you mind sharing this patch and also the piano patch? Would really appreciate it!
Hey René! Thanks! Can't remember exactly now but it would've been using the tombola arp on the OP1 - using a soft piano pad-like sound. As it's a random arp, if you record one track on the left, then one on the right, you get a nice wide + evolving stereo pad effect.
Hey! It was a sample I recorded of a bechstein upright piano. Somehow it just sounds pretty natural in this note range even though it's just a single note sample - beyond this range it gets a little funky
Awesome piece of music! Super cool. It looks you know what you are doing :) Can I ask you something? I have Moog Mother 32 and I'd like to sync it's tempo to OP-1. How can I do that? ... (I ordered Grandmother too, btw) Keep up the good work!
5K views?! This is criminally underrated. I have an obsession with this song and you've somehow made it even more pleasing to the ear.
We are part of the blessed ones.
You did a really lovely job with this cover. Sounds different enough to be unique, but maintains the spirit and sounds good on its own.
The algorithm delivers.
Always find myself revisiting this video from time to time, amazing cover and gives it that little extra from the original
That was excellent thank you Jim!
Thanks for watching man - good to hear from you!
THE DYNAMICS ON THE SMALL MIDI KEYBOARD ARE INSANE!
So impressive. I feel Trent Reznor himself would be pleased and impressed to hear this.
Really brilliant stuff again Jim. You should consider posting more, you do great work.
Thanks Phil - glad you enjoyed it. I've got a few more ideas coming soon hopefully!
Simply love it!
Beautiful.
This is so good! Its honestly hard to cover anything that Trent & Atticus do but I was completely mesmerized for 8 mins.

This is amazing, how in the world did you get such a good piano sound from the OP1?

@@jimstewart-musicaudio8684I never would have guessed it was something this simple, it sounds incredible in this range. Thanks for the answer!
