Any tips how to find the base pointer for it as BEST PRACTICE? I usually do a pointer scan for that address but it's not a 100% method and in some games it takes a lot of trial/error.
hey if you just do the same thing he does in teh video for other things like crafting components and perk points and xp you can figure it out - i found cred xp, uncommon, common, rare /rare upgrade components, and perk points and was able to alter them - after you have enought money, bur stuff you can break down for components and find the values that way , fidn the value for your xp, kill some targets that provide cred and find the values that way

Windows Defender really doesn't like the program. Make sure you're downloading from the official site. A way to get by this is to "Allow on device" in windows defender. Or by temporarily disabling windows defender. Right click the file, click properties, click the "unblock" box. Then install like normal. Careful to click "decline" on any third-party software, since the official download has one.
I'm not sure what this would programmatically change. If anything, I'd think you would just trigger certain achievements a lot sooner than you should. But, I don't know, so maybe don't do this stuff if that's all really important to you. :)
It's a single player game well at least rn it is only single player so no worries, you might get some funny dialogue in the game for doin this though if it's the same as the witcher 3
