Hi Andrew, I will be making more content like this. This summer I'll be filming and gathering material to work with :) And of course I'll make it in English for you guys who don't speak Icelandic. Thanks for watching and feel free to share the channel with people who you think that might be interested in it.
Ivar. Thank you for taking so much time to prepare this lecture. I had wondered how to purchase a license or permit when I visited your wonderful country in 2019 so thank you for mentioning the Veidikortid. When this horrible virus is under control and am able to visit I will certainly buy one. Best wishes.

You are welcome back to Iceland! :) It's good that you enjoyed the lecture. Thanks a lot.
Ivar, thank you very much for the generous sharing of your experience in this presentation. My friend and I are renting a van and hope to be up at your lake to do some spin fishing (and leave only footprints.) With only a week and all of Iceland this helps
Sorry.. sent that before I was done typing. Any recommendation for a good seasoning for the char? Probably will be pan frying. Thanks from Connecticut..

Thanks for the comments Nathan! Yes, footprints only is mandatory while fishing in Iceland and also follow signs about driving off road. There can be a huge fines issued by the local police if people drive off road. Seasoning for the char would be: salt, pepper, lemon slice and wild thyme (but you can pick it in nature).

I was hoping you could indulge me with one more question 😉… Is it possible (and legal) to fish the saltwater off that sandy beach up by Saudlauksdalvatn ? I was going to be focusing primarily on the lake, but thought I might try scratching the itch to try some casting for sea trout in the salt with a spoon. I do a lot of surf fishing at home. ( I believe it might not be legal to fish the area immediately adjacent to where the river enters the salt.)
Thanks!
Great lecture. Thank you!
Thanks Chris! Hopefully I can make more content like this next winter and introduce more spots that I fish. :)
Great lecture! More like this please.
