I've been checking in on this story everyday since I found out about it in hope justice will be served to they absolute scumbags, this is one of the worst things I've ever seen and I wish I could just give her a cuddle and tell her I'm so sorry you were treated that way. I really hope these "men" get what's coming to them, I've no idea how this could have happened, poor poor angel 😢

Complete lack of care. The woman knew she wasn’t well but was kicked out of a hospital and arrested by nasty humans, then taken to be locked up. What the hell is wrong with people. Society is sick to the core.

Not only did the police treat her horribly, but so did the hospital that failed to treat her properly. Ms. Edwards knew that something was wrong with her, and her death proved that. Why would a hospital call the police on an elderly disabled woman who was in so much distress? How they treated her was beyond belief! I think the hospital should be sued for all they have and then be shut down so they can't treat anyone else the way they treated this poor woman. And ALL of the cops who dealt with her should be fired and sued as well. The heartless, irresponsible behavior of those cops is partly why people have begun to not trust police everywhere in general. They lose their credibility when they behave like disrespectful thugs.

I agree. And the fact she was from out-of-state and had a history of heart problems and had a previous stroke, they didn’t even keep her long enough to have her medical records emailed to them.

Age discrimination... Call it what it is. Also heart and circulatory issues can be genetic. Don't assume she was a smoker. That's the old standby to victim blame.

The HOSPITAL SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. IM an RN and I cannot believe what I witnessed.
It is disgusting. All medical personnel who had anything to do with her treatment SHOUKD be prosecuted for malpractice and their license removed. The hospital should be sued. This is beyond belief!!! The police should be fired.

RIP to this poor lady. They treated her as if she was less than and it breaks my heart to see the video showing what happened to her. Ft Sanders is just as responsible though. They released my mother in December even though we told them she was still feeling awful and had no energy. That same night at 2am I was calling 911 because she couldn't breath. I had them take her to UT this time and thank God because she was positive for the Flu, Pneumonia and Covid and had went into acute heart failure. She had to be put on a ventilator for 5 days and fluid drained from her lungs and from around her heart. UT saved her life. You can't tell me she didn't leave Ft Sanders like that either. They released her like that without a doubt!!! I contacted 2 attorney's that said they didn't take cases like that. I wish I could find an attorney to take her case. It's wrong that more and more people are being let out to die when they need more care. I pray for this family. 🙏

Call the Tennessee Bar Association to get a referral to a lawyer. They should not get away with not treating people putting them in harm's way.

@Brenda Martini yes it has Brenda. I am 73...that could have been me begging for a stretcher and to be sat up. That could have been me laid on a pavement in 20 degree weather........or, it could be you! Police immunity has to be governed and policed by citizens....NOT THE POLICE. INTERBAL AFFAIRS IS A JOKE...THEY JUST COVER FOR OFFICERS... EVEN THE WORST OF THEM!

    • @brendamartini2165

@@Charlotte-rb8kc yes...me or my mom too. This is despicable to treat elders this way. I was taught to respect our elders when I was young. Apparently these officers and hospital staff missed that lesson as well as the lesson of The Golden Rule....which surprises me for a Bible belt state like Tennessee.

Don't police officers get tested for critical thinking? The hospital should have never released her and those (officers) should be held accountable. Prays for the family. and friends of Lisa. Shameful! How would they respond if it was one of their family members? I'm sure their families are proud of them.😢
